A tired old complex hidden from the main road with no easy access, nowhere for transport to park for drop off pick up. Rooms are rundown and full of mosquitoes because the windows and doors have gaps in them. I woke up overnight with a swollen bitten head most nights. Thankfully only stayed a few nights. Staff are friendly enough but lazy and linen is not changed daily. Rooms do not have blackout blinds - sun comes in at dawn 5-6 am. Indonesian TV only not what was promised. Poor wifi service. Dirty Pool. Dirty kitchenette with leaking pipes. Bathroom in poor condition. Upstairs balcony not useable as poorly set out. You couldn't pay me to stay here again.

The place is huge but is extremely dirty, cranky and staff (1 person) not very helpful. What kind of dirt? bathroom is dirty, not only mould but we found spiderwebs, dust and sand. The worst is the window which is 1 meter high, consists of multiple panes that you can open or close like a curtain. It is rusty and full of dirt up to the point windows are no longer transparent, neither the mechanism to open/close works. Every table or furniture is sticky. The doors to the balcony or garden don't close properly, actually, one of the doors can be opened from outside by just pushing as it is a rail door that is missing the wheel therefore you can easily open it. The bed lining was disgusting, I found some spots that I was able to remove with the door keys, presumably some animal feces. The floor has tiny black things... animal feces? maybe... If you want to avoid mosquito bites, this is not your place, gaps every where, including but not limited to the bath windows that you can't close, potentially... you don't want to touch. I understand some people might find it amazing because it is big and it has a kitchen and living room. Maybe as a vacation long term rental if you want to spend your time cleaning and fixing the things that are not working... but really, for the price we paid, £30 per night, there are much better places in Sanur. Last, the place seems to be an investment building, you can find brochures to buy the flat. For instance, we could see people living in the other flats, and each of them looked wonderful... but this one... I feel they are potentially recovering an investment by renting while someone buys. There is no problem on doing this, but at least try to keep it average... They told us all rooms are the same, including the rusty old bath window. We left with no refund. Avoid.

I would not go again to this hotel, but it think that what we got was fair for the price we paid. Staff is very friendly, but the hotel is old and because of that it is diffucult to keep it clean. But if you're looking for something not to expensive and don't mind that it's average, you must certainly go there.

The complex is made up of two storey townhouses, each with one bedroom and sliding door access to a communal pool. It's only 5 minutes from beach and was really well priced for the location. The room needed some updating ie. had cracked tile in bathroom, curtains were thinning. They have a lot of longer term tenants that stay for months. It has a small kitchen with twin cooktop, fridge, safe with key and the staff are casual, relaxed but happy to help with anything.

We are staying in this hotel for 6 nights. You get both a spacious living room downstairs and a spacious bedroom upstairs. In both rooms is a good airconditioning. Friendly staff and a nice garden with pool to relax. Quiet area.

Enjoyed our four nights here. First the good. Nice long pool, best suited to lap swimmimg or exercise though still good for cooling off with steps/seats scattered along both sides. Our AC worked fine . Upstairs was much cooler if bathroom and stairwell doors were closed to keep out excess heat. The mini kitchen has a nice large fridge and we had enough utensils for our needs. And now the not so good.... TVs are small and old. Our apartment needs loose tiles replaced in the downstairs bathroom and the upstairs bathroom shower over bath is quite difficult to enter/exit.

Stayed here for 3 nights a change from my usual hotel. Scape is hidden away behind Cinnamon Restaurant . The place could do with a little upgrading but is very clean and staff helpful. The accommodation is set on 2 floors and is Very spacious. There's a great pool in the enclosed garden and it's extremely quiet. Well positioned to visit good restaurants. Go have a look you might get a nice surprise.

A very basic set of 1 bedroom apartments ideally located with good restaurants very close by. The beach is just 5 mins away. The property needs some maintenance a good coat of paint will refresh your stay. If you want modern technology in your upstairs downstairs apartment forget it. Old small TV's and DVD player that came with Noah and the Arc. The pool when cleaned is just right surround by lush tropical growth sets a wonderful scene of tranquility and beauty. This is a self contained apartment complex so you cater for yourself or stroll along the main road sel citing a myriad of choices from very typical Balineses restaurants. The apartment is serviced every day and cleaned very simply but with spirit. The staff are excellent and very helpful. If you look beyond the basics of needed maintenance then this is for you. The tariff is very fair for what is offered enjoy the time and the rest will look after itself.

We spent 3 nights in a two storey apartment which was conveniently located to shops & the beach. This place is more like a holiday rental than a hotel. With a baby and a 3 year old we chose this place as it had a kitchenette & was quite spacious. For $60 a night it was fine & the pool was just lovely. Unfortunately they provided us with a broken cot which they then replaced with another cot which was missing part of its base. The stairs leading to the huge bedroom were very steep- not so good for little ones. Bed was reasonably comfy & large which was lucky as we all had to sleep in it (including 6 month old). The couch downstairs was large but hard. Overall okay value for money but next time we'll stay elsewhere.

We have stayed at Scape many times since it first opened and love the big apartments (one room up one down) and having the kitchenette is fantastic. The pool is just perfect and the staff are always friendly & very helpful. Easy access to everything.
