Apart from the beautiful villas, spa and entire resort this place stands out for its service and treatment of guests. Every single staff member was extremely polite and friendly and spoke English well. All went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. We travelled as a group of friends (two couples) in two separate villas. We had a lot of requests, all of which were accommodated with ease. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff they are just fantastic and will just make things happen with no fuss. They truly went above and beyond expectations. There is a lot more I could say but I feel some recent reviewers have covered a lot of the same details I would mention. I will just say I totally agree with the last few posts & they are spot-on. There is very little that could have improved our stay, though I would say they didn’t have much on offer for New Years Eve to entice us to spend our evening there. Perhaps for next year they could consider this some more to draw more of a crowd to the venue. Would definitely recommend Puri Wulandari to a friend, especially anyone looking for a romantic getaway or honeymoon!

Absolutely luxurious boutique resort which is attentive to your every needs and every small detail. Staff are discreet yet immediately available when needed. Reasonably priced when you consider what you get for the lodging fee. A beautifully Balinese villa with private pool and outdoor showers. Breakfast is a set menu but incredible. Highly recommend. Return guest.

What can I say. I have been to Bali umpteen times but it was my first time staying in Ubud and it turned out to be the most amazing and memorable one, all thanks to Puri Wulandari. The moment we touched down at the airport, we were greeted warmly by Komang, a staff of Puri Wulandari who was smartly clad in his traditional Balinese outfit holding out a board loudly displaying my name which was neatly and professionally type written which clearly stood out in the crowd of casually dressed drivers. As he ushered us to the car, he conversed with us in his amazingly fluent English. As we got ourselves settled in, he whipped out two ice cold towels and mineral water from the icebox in the car before asking us whether we were ready to head off. During the one hour ride, he was enthusiastically sharing with us the sights along the way and the story behind them. After arriving at the villa, we had two other staff opening the doors for us, loading our luggages into the buggy while we headed to the common area to check in. To our surprise, there was no reception area but a lady came out and greeted us like she was already expecting us. Keys were given to us and we got whisked up the buggy and driven to our villa. Upon arrival to our beautiful villa, we were presented with two welcome drinks in pineapples! The villa was absolutely gorgeous, with an amazing view of the forest, an open living area, outdoor and indoor shower, a bathtub overlooking the forest filled with flower petals and lovely romantic setup on the bed. The staff walked through the entire villa with us, and explained to us through every section of the villa to ensure we knew every part of it well enough to make our stay an enjoyable one. Throughout the entire 5 days, EVERY single staff made us feel like royalty. They clean the villa twice a day and every night, we were given surprise dessert planted in a secret wooden box placed in the room. The buggy picks us up at our door step wherever we called and everyone greets you like they already knew you. Service was impeccable, comparable or even better than many five star hotels I’ve been. The best part? On the last day of our trip, we were given a specially prepared sumptuous breakfast packed in a box and fresh juices prepared at the counter for us to take along for our early journey to the airport( breakfast starts 7am but we had to leave at 6am). Puri Wulandari easily puts so many villas and hotels to shame by giving the word luxury a whole new definition! Will highly recommend it( especially for nature lovers who love the sounds of frogs, crickets :p). Awesome awesomely fabulous!!

This place is worth its weight in gold! From the moment we entered our 1 bedroom villa we were left in awe at the stunning views, the pool, the bathroom, the outdoor shower, its literally walking into paradise. Our villa was very private with our own infinity pool that over looked the gorgeous green jungle. We were treated like royalty everyday for 7 days. If your after peace, quite and some quality down time then this is the right place. You can hear the white water rafting that runs down in the valley below but its not too loud to bother you. Its sometime reassuring to know that civilization isn't too far away! We felt that removed from it all. It is worth mentioning that you pay for quality and for the view. This is place is quality and therefore its not cheap. The food and alcohol is very expensive compared to outside restaurants or other eating places. In saying that, we didn't get sick once while we stayed here - everything is cleaned and maintained at a high standard. So I was more than happy to pay the extra amount. I would highly recommend the Puri Wulandari to any of my friends, family. It was a fabulous experience and I would return in a heart beat!

Incredible hotel with authentic Balinese architecture, well looked after in stunning landscaped grounds and valley side infinity pool (amazing views). Beautiful spa and rooms large with infinity plunge pool and spacious outside area in the privacy of your own compound. Although located on the river the place was smoked effectively once a week so we were not bitten by mosquitos. Lovely food at both restaurants though the local alcohol was frightfully bad. Escorted everywhere by golf buggy as grounds are quite steep. No coffee and tea making facilities in the villas. One of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in, lasting great memories of this place. Picture perfect and a very special place.

The stay I had here with my wife was nothing less than exceptional. The standard suite we received had a gorgeous private infinity pool, a large outdoor lounging area, and a 1 bedroom cottage all together. In addition to this great setup, they designed each suite to have large walls for a large amount of privacy while keeping each on a ledge in order to be able to see one of the most spectacular views of Ubud's forests from literally every room in the suite. I would love to visit again.

Privacy, exotic, own pool, in the heart of the jungle, nice spa, very good services, rice fields, a lot of optionios for activities, welcome beverages, daily tokens, great housekeeping, intern transportation.

Everything about this resort is breathtaking. The private villas, the polite and amazing staff, the excellent food, the beautiful nature, I can go on and one. I went here with my sister and the staff treated us perfectly. This is most definitely a honeymoon destination and there weren't a lot of people staying there at the time. The resort has a beautiful pool but we didn't spend any time there as the pool in our room was so beautiful. The bathroom was massive and the outdoor shower was such a beautiful feature. Staff were super polite when you called them to get a ride from the room to the lobby. At one point you could hear construction going on just over the jungle which is quite annoying as you only want to hear the jungle sounds. We called the front desk and within 5 minutes they managed to get the construction noise to stop which I thought was pretty amazing as it was happening on the other side of the jungle. A little on the pricey side but i would definitely come back but probably for my honeymoon rather than with friends.

We are staying for 11 nights and this is our 4. so far. When we arrived in our pool villa (nr. 120) we knew we would enjoy our stay already. The breathtaking view, the staff (from lobby to butlers) everyone is so friendly and nice. We feel welcome all the time. Finally time to relax and let go. The breakfast is without buffet, but therefore freshmade and just perfectly balanced. The coffee wasn't strong enough for me, but after request, they served us a stronger one. The buggys come immediately and always on time, and always with a smile. The rooms are cleaned twice a day. Always fresh towels and bathrobes, everyday fresh flowers in a bowl if u want to take bath. and in the afternoon, they leave a box with homemade sweets(yummie). And of course there is couverture (turndown-service). There are some frogs and gekkos, but very few. But hey!, we are right in front of a jungle, right? what do you expect? We love the noises. It's part of the deal. The Spa is a must-do. We love Bali, Ubud and the Puri Wulandari Terima kasih and Suksma!

If you are looking to experience a relaxed and magical setting in Bali, Puri Wulandari Boutique Resort and Spa Resort is the ideal choice. Just 12 minutes away from the Ubud town centre, in the middle of green rice fields above the river and jungle , Puri Wulandari is is the ultimate jungle getaway. It was just what my husband and I imagined when we wanted to recharge our batteries from daily stress at work. Getting this close to nature always fills me up with positive energy and sitting out on the terrace trying to take it all in; the breath-taking view of the emerald green rainforest all around me, the symphony of insects humming, birds chirping and leaves rustling in the soft breeze coming in from the river below and the smell of the humid morning air mixed with the sweet fragrance of fresh vegetation, flowers, and wet earth felt like a paradise. The pool villa is providing a magnificent view to the jungle from the room and the bathroom and it has a magnificent tub, outdoor and indoor shower, large screen tv (not that we have used it with the view like that) and beautiful terrace. But that pool! O boy, it makes you such a sense of peace and tranquillity that I have not experienced anywhere before. The hotel restaurant offers spectacular views of the forest canopy and infinity pool. Here you can enjoy a breakfast of that is not buffet variety but a la carte, but super tasty. Try Puri Wulandari Egg Benedict and berry pancakes and the variety of fresh tropical fruit. The staff at the restaurants, the butlers and the drivers are very kind and perhaps the weakest links is the Reception staff that are slightly slow and less assertive than the rest of the personnel. And one of the recommendation to the management-the internet connection (choppy!) must be improved to make the overall experience ideal! We I had a great week that ended started with the tasty birthday cake for my husband delivered to our villa to the complimentary 3 course dinner on our night stay! What else to say than thank you all in Puri so much!
