I said at Puri Gardens with a group when on a tour of Bali, and then again a few days later with my friend. This hotel is lovely and the staff are more than friendly, and happy to help you with anything such as booking our onward Shuttle to Kuta. It has everything you need in the room, good breakfast and a beautiful pool area. Would definitely recommend this hotel in a good location in the heart of Ubud.
When we arrived at the hotel, I was extremely happy! It's beautiful on the outside and the inside, but once you go in the rooms, you start to notice the cracks.. We were with a tour and a couple of friends had to move bedrooms, one of them because the toilet wasn't working and the other lady came back after lunch, to find her bed was Soaking wet and had to move rooms. Our room was beautiful, but I did notice some a load of ants in the bathroom but didn't think it was anything, so we left the room; we came back hours later, with about 10 moths on the curtains, me and friend aren't lovers of insects so we freaked out a little and asked the staff to help us get rid of them, and they were very helpful! They also mentioned to turn the lights off in the day (which is fair enough). Evening - So me and my friends had an amazing day, and towards 11ish I decided to go to bed; I noticed that there was a few moths (about 8) so I got rid of them and went to bed. At 1am my friend comes in and wakes me up screaming, as there's 4 moths attacking me whilst I was sleeping, so obviously I freak out and we get rid of them. As we're tucking the nets underneath our beds more moths appear, and we're just so confused to where they could be coming from and look everywhere! We walk in the bathroom and there at least 15, so by now I had enough, and went outside in the pouring rain to ask a member of staff to switch our rooms (as we honestly started to get stressed out). I was out and see the security guard and tell him the problem and ask if he can swap us a room, but his only reply is 'no key, no key' - yeah ok! So I go back in and there's more and me and my friend have had enough as they keep coming from nowhere and started to get seriously angry with the whole situation ! So I go back out and walk to reception and the security guard after I've just explained the situation, then says that he doesn't understand, even though he's saying there no key? 🤔 he obviously can't be bothered to help us or the guy lying on the sofa continuing to watch the tv as I'm clearly showing that I'm stressed! They're both useless and I tell them that I will be writing a review on their website, but they just laughed it off and I stormed back into the bedroom. I got inside and I was so angry and yes you've guessed it, more moths! We tucked in the net again, and went to bed stressed out of our minds. Luckily I had a light in the bathroom, and weren't attacked in the night. But this is how ridiculous it got! They even got in my charger! I will say that the ladies were nice in the day, but the night staff were useless and also the wifi is a joke! I don't recommend.
It was my last 1 night destination stay at Bali, very good concept hotel and beautifully decorated like heritage hotel, rooms were designed like antique carvings with net beds and good toilet with AC,a small refrigerator has been kept for customer with TV and bed were something different to other commercial hotel, the entrance looks bit shabby and small, but the hospitality of the front desk presentation was very good at the time of entry they gave us,wet perfumed towel, drinks, WiFi password with key and a assistance to guide our room number 222 which earlier booked, presentation, the swimming pool was very deep at the end and small pool for kids to play,we have the the option of breakfast with the room booking which was choice full according to the customer need which we liked, the hotel is surrounded by many fruit trees and flowers, the back rooms over looking the rice field and front rooms looking over the pool and restaurant, the owner we meet Mr.Cokorda oka yudana was very good person who narrated about the Ubud, the room rent with breakfast was very reasonable for any tourist, the hotel restaurant close by 10.30 night.
This is a beautiful, great place to stay in the heart of Ubud! It's really close to the Monkey Sanctuary too. Great staff, small but nice pool and clean, comfortable rooms. The hotel lobby is impressive and the outdoor garden/pathway to rooms is really pretty and interesting.
Such a beautiful place. We got a private room on Expedia for only $21 ea per night, we got a welcome drink and breakfast and a king bed. The pool is beautiful and the sun chairs are great for reading. Location is great too, just 200m from the main square of town.
I and group stayed in this lovely hotel for two days. The first impression when entering the hotel lobby was amazing. Not a big fancy hotel but it has a very strong Balinese ambiance. This is exactly what I'm looking forward to see when visiting Bali. Local design and architecture, good local food and meet friendly local people. The hotel staff organized our check in and rooms properly based on our request. Fresh welcome drinks were served upon our arrival and the most amazing things was the swimming pool area near the restaurant. This was soo nice, we ordered beers and cocktails and sat down near the pool area.. Soo relaxing. Free wifi and located in central area near shops and good restaurants. The room was fine, cold Aircond, nice veranda with green garden and pool. We feel very lucky. The food was great too and they have very friendly staff. I and group did really enjoy our stay and happy to have this experience in Bali.
Stayed here for four nights. Staff were friendly and welcome and room was pretty clean but had some wear and tear. Initially the bathroom smelt really bad from an open drain but on the first morning we noticed they had fixed it. A/C was pretty good and the hotel is set back from the road so was quiet. Breakfast was included but was pretty poor to be honest we just ate the pancakes and a few croissants. We weren't too bothered though as the breakfast was included in the room price. The hotel was nice looking in a Balinese authentic way and generally was pretty good. Overall good for the money but it needs abit of a revamp really
Enjoyed staying at this hotel due to good service and helpful staff and lovely ambience. Standard of rooms in Indonesia is not the same as in Europe. The wooden carving beds look amazing but the springs are not always there :). Cleaning of room was good and fridge and air co fab for staying cool. Food was excellent at the hotel. I got a ton of insect bites one night and took sick for 2 days with fever and chill, whilst travelling alone until my husband arrived. Staff were fab bringing me chicken soup to the room, offering to call me a doctor, and going to the supermarket for isotonic drinks - personal thanks to Ery for that. He deserves a promotion. They stored my suitcase for 2 weeks whilst I went to the gili islands as well. You get a lovely welcome and a nicerefreshing drink on arrival and its why we cancelled our other hotel for the 2nd leg of our Ubud trip to come back and stay with them again. Tricky wifi had been fxed by the time I returned. Nice French cafe opposite if not for that. It's in a nice stretch of Ubud a little quieter than the main art of town which is a 15=20 min walk away. There are a few lovely bars, cafes and massage salons nearby. Mega coconut supermarket nearby too for stashing up on goodies for that long road home. Will return on next trip here.
Stayed here 4 nights with my girlfriend. Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Pool was great for a swim during the hot days and no beach nearby, and walking distance to everything your would want in Ubud. Price was good for the room and restaurant as well. would recommend to anyone staying in the Ubud area!
We stayed in thia lovely hotel for three nights and made the booking directly to the hotel. We got good price, nice and quite room at the back with rice paddy view. Our room was really clean since the begining we arrived and the staff cleaned our room daily perfectly. Nothing wrong happen during our stay. This hotel have a very strong and peaceful Balinese atmosphere with extremwly friendly staff. They spoke good engliah and very helpful. The bath room was fine and all.of the facilities ran properly. The swimming pool area ia good even though not big but it's enough and beat place for us to relax and enjoy our day. Food during breakfast was great with some choice of pastry, toast, soup, fries rice, pancakes, juice and many other. We feel very happy to stay in a hotel where we can feel the Balinese ambiance with the friendlinesa of its people. The food in the reataurant we had during lunch was also superb including the cocktails. Yuummyy...We willdefinately come back again very soon and recommend this place to friend and family
