Love this hotel, beautiful Balinese architecture, our suite had a private courtyard and was fresh clean and inviting. The staff are friendky and nothing is too much trouble. Buffet breakfast is good. Pool is clean and set in beautiful surroundings. Close to shops and restaurants. Would recommend.
I had been in touch with this hotel about having a room on the ground floor because I have a wonky ankle and cannot walk up or down stairs. They assured me that they had a room set up for me on the ground floor. We arrived very late as our flight was delayed by 4 hours. It was 3am by the time we got to the hotel. First off no room set up on ground floor for me. They then wanted to put us in a double room, we are 2 single ladies travelling together. It took them at least an hour to make up a twin room on the ground floor. We finally got to bed at 4.30am. We missed breakfast and they didn't want to give us anything, we only wanted a coffee and some toast, eventually they said yes. Very disappointed, won't be back. The towels were very sad, the bathmat had a hole in it. Only 1 glass in the room, Oh and guess what ? Lots of steps everywhere, up to reception, to our room, to the restaurant, to the pool.
You step out of the busy streets of Bali and into a little paradise! The villas were traditional Balinese style and he room was very clean and great facilities - free tea, coffee, water, a mini fridge and TV. The pathways are surrounded with green foliage, lovely on site restaraunt with very polite and friendly staff. The pool was beautiful too. Only a 15 minute walk down to the beach. There was also an on site travel desk - a god send for a solo traveller who was a bit nervous about finding my own way round. I had my own personal driver for the day and took me to the temples, Ubud monkey sanctuary, coffee plantation etc. The tour didn't actually include any of the entrance fees so we s a little over priced - might be worth bartering down. My only fault would be that the shower took a good few minutes to warm so I left it running for a while before I got in - apart from that I had no complaints! As a solo traveler I had a great stay and felt very welcome.
Many good points, but quite a few that required attention. Great sized rooms, free water each day, free WiFi, lovely pool, supplied pool towels, adequate breakfast - voucher, shuttle service, friendly staff, close to shops/ good restaurants/ mini markets/laundry/ doctor over the road, drying rack supplied, DVD player available to rent. Great Balinese ambiance. One power point per room- which was difficult to access, difficult to access WiFi in second floor rooms. Mattresses were appallingly uncomfortable in our units, fridges empty, lack of in-house communication, stairs would be an issue for some, some equipment (jugs) were very old as were the towels and sheets.
We booked the Family Villa and the upstairs room was very spacious. Downstairs you had your own courtyard which included a fish pond. The swimming pool was fantastic so at 8am we went in, but there were no towels until 9am so see if you can get some towels the night before if you plan on swimming in the morning.
We stayed in the super deluxe rooms for 4 nights and absolutely loved our spacious room and balcony. The bathroom looks quite dated and so are some other areas of the hotel but considering the price point it still offers great value for money. Breakfast was good despite not having a lot of choice. However they prepare omelettes and offer fresh fruits, noodles, rice, bread, jam and cereal so there is definitely enough to get you going. The location is brilliant with lots of restaurants, supermarkets, ATMs and money changers just a few steps away. Also the beach is just a 10 minutes walk away. Wi-Fi worked well and the pool was just amazing! All in all in a great choice to stay if you are on a budget but still want to have all the amenities. Will definitely be back!
Booking their villa through Booking.com I was surprised to find on arrival they had already taken the full amount from my card. My daughters flight had been delayed in Doha and they had telephoned the hotel and left a message for me.all that afternoon and evening it remained a scribbled note at the front desk that was never relayed or delivered. So that night I went to Bali airport on a fool's mission and wasted three and a half hours till 2am and a 200,00 Rupiah taxi fare that was arranged by the hotel who knew why I was going to the airport. Realizing what had happened I decided to wait and see what would happen three times that day I was at the front desk before someone finally told me I had a message. When I told them what had happened I received a a blank stare. No apology or compensation was offered nor did I ask for any.Sloppy does not cover this. To mention that the TV and the safe needed fixing or that the bed canopy was stained and musty seems almost too trivial to mention
We stayed in a downstairs villa and loved the outside living area complete with fishpond and fully enclosed garden with undercover seating. The bedroom was small but fine for the two of us as we spent all our time outside on the patio. The bathroom was very tired but that would have been the only real problem with the room. The pool is clean and has pool lounges available. The restaurant was terrible so after our first and only dinner we only ever went there for our complimentary breakfast. The hotel is set back from the beach and the main area of Seminyak but it is only a ten minute walk to the beach.
My husband and I have stayed here many times and always enjoyed our stay. This is a traditional style Balinese hotel with various room type options. Over the years I have stayed in all the various rooms except the downstairs villas. The superior rooms are spacious with reasonably comfortable beds. The hotel has a lovely pool and the restaurant serves an excellent buffet breakfast with great omlettes. It also serves complimentary afternoon tea with biscuits and yummy deep fried banana or other tasty treats. The staff are helpful and friendly especially Agus Lukman who always goes out of his way to help us. Unfortunately this hotel has not kept up with the maintenance especially the airconditioning which is never cold enough. They are not powerful enough to cool the large rooms sufficiently and many are simply not working properly. We have had to move rooms several times in an attempt to get a cool room. The T.V 's have dodgy receptions. Noise from the busy main road is also a problem but this depends on where the room is situated. Will return to this hotel again but will check the airconditioners before checking in.
This hotel is okay to stay at. This was our family holiday, so we stayed in the villa. Villa was very clean, the air conditioning worked, but the bathroom taps and showerhead need replacing. All the towels are either faded or frayed or both, this includes the pool towels. Staff are okay, however, they do not go out of their way for you, one almost feels like guests are an inconvenience to them. The positives are that this hotel is close (walking distance) to the main streets of Seminyak, and one does not get hassled on the way to the main streets.
