This is a good hotel, in a quiet location a little away from Kuta. Very clean, good breakfast, good pool and pleasant helpful staff. A good beach, but be aware that there is coral in the sand which makes it difficult (but not impossible) to get in and out of the water. We will be returning.
Nice hotel. Lovely pool. Breakfast good. Rooms good size for price. Balcony a lovely area. Front of house staff are the weak spot. They did not assist with baggage and room maintenance that was required did not seem to be acted upon until 3rd request. We would definitely stay here again. Excellent position.
I have stayed at Palm Beach Hotel numerous times over the past 24 years, with some visits up to 4 weeks at a time. The hotel is located in a quieter part of south Kuta, just across the road from the beach. It is an easy 15 minute walk to central Kuta along the paved footpath along the beach. There are numerous good to excellent restaurants and spas in easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel rooms are configured in a horse-shoe shape, comprising three stories, set in well cared for attractive gardens and overlooking the central pool and restaurant. The pool, although not large is adequate, well designed and clean. The staff are attentive, professional, honest and speak very good English. (Some have been at the Hotel for over 15 years ) Breakfast is okay, with a reasonable variety of western and Indonesian dishes. The food on the menu is very good, especially the authentic Balinese food that needs to be ordered one day before. The serving sizes are good and prices are reasonable. I always pay the slightly higher room tariff and stay in a deluxe room which offer refurbished amenities.Overall, a value for money, 3 star medium sized hotel in a relatively quiet location. My next visit will be in October this year.
A nice hotel to stay in, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist strip. Was here for 8 days and was a pleasant stay. Really good pool. Restaurant was good for dinner ( excellent Nasi Goreng istemewa ). Only had breakfast here once, not really impressed by it. Preferred " Nasi Bungkus " on the beach. Will be back again soon.
This looked great on the internet and the reviews were good, however the cheap price should have been a giveaway . Unfortunately I prepaid for a weeks accommodation here and spent one night, I couldn't get out quick enough. Admittedly I had been staying in a nice resort before going here which probably made it seem a lot worse but..... here's my list; - it's in s really dodgy area, no security, I did not feel safe - the room smelt very musty, I had the top of the range room, but, yuk! - I was on the ground floor, the balcony door was flimsy, could have easily been forced open, in fact I slept with my suitcase against the door so I would wake up if someone came in - one power point and it's high above the bathroom bench - no shower screen so when you shower everything in the bathroom gets wet - no bath mats, no pool towels - pool is small and has way too much chlorine and lounges are uncomfortable - rooms have lights outside and some high windows without curtains so very light at night I could go on but ....... I think anyone who has read this far gets the picture by now.
Hi all, just come back from a 10 day stay at palm beach , great to be at this end of kuta ,restaurants were real value for money in this region ,close to beach ,Waterbomb park an walked to airport to get home after paying 20 aus to get there ,yes I got ripped, that price was half of what he first asked for, loved the hotel ,yea a few broken tiles around but some real character with age, pool was great, staff were good and hotel food an beer was value,, downside door to balcony had a 5mm gap between door an frame ,mossies came in first night,i put a towel in between to stop them coming in second night ,breakfast good but a plague of bees was off putting, bees sting you were I come from ,,linen was well used an showed age an wear, nowhere to lock valuables,an door lock was only just working,,first night we stayed in a room that hadn't been cleaned, anyway after all that, at 28 bucks a night,il go back for sure, thanks, graham
Great location, very close to the beach, Lippo Mall and airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we found that the hotel also has a half day rate (leave at 6pm if you've already stayed the previous night). This didn't affect us as we left at 11pm, however, the half day option should be shown on the booking site. We were on the third floor (no lift). We travel light, but staff will assist with luggage. Might want to ask for a lower floor if you find climbing stairs difficult. Breakfast was included. Lovely food in the restaurant - more expensive than warungs, but we expected that. There is also a huge swimming pool, lovely gardens, even a waterfall. We had a superior room which had a fridge, flat screen TV with a lot of channels, balcony and clothes drying rack. Our only negatives would be that the WiFi was very unpredictable and while it was great to have a balcony, the chairs and table are huge (and old) for the small balcony space. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus (extra cost) to the airport, but we'd already booked with the friendly taxi drivers across the road. We'd happily stay again! Note to management: It was very confusing when I went to write the review! On Trip Advisor, "Palm Beach International Hotel" is shown under Tuban at Jl. Pantai Banjar Segara no. 1, Tuban. "Palm Beach Hotel" is shown under Kuta at Jl Jenggala no 1, Kuta 80361, but they are definitely the same place!!
Have read many reviews and will agree that the main point of this hotel is some breathe of old local culture. It's great, but guys.. old culture not means mirror in the bath opposite my chest, it's not broken lamps up to my head which fixed on 1 screw only & ready to fall down each moment. And why not to fix this toilet which is leaking all the time.. once somebody from stuff cleaned the floor with dirty mop.. you can't even imagine how it smells... In addition - why are you not cleaning the floor under the bed? It's a plenty of dust there & someones socks.. Swimming pool is ok, restaurant also ok, territory ok (interesting), stuff also ok. Here is the hot water in the rooms which is good. A bit far from the markets but close to the ocean.
Said it was an air b&b and gave us a different name so we were not able to double check. For what it is, a tired old motel, it was very expensive. We will not be staying here again. The room is shabby but reasonably clean but the bathroom has mouldy corners. There is only one PowerPoint and that is in the bathroom. The Wifi worked reasonably well so that was a positive. The air conditioner works but it barely cools the room. It was cooler by the pool which looks quite nice. Kids would probably enjoy the pool as it is big and looks cool and clean.
I cannot believe some of the reviews on here. If you want a 5 star hotel then pay $200 to $300 don't book a $25 to $40 a night hotel then complain that it's old, not good enough, etc. This is my 3rd stay here in a year and it ticks all the boxes for me. Good location, quiet, great pool and gardens. The hotel reminds me of the good old Bali days where the staff all remember your name everytime you come back, try getting that in some of the stuffy, upmarket places where you just become another number. All the staff here are wonderful and very trustworthy , nothing is too much trouble. Had a couple of minor issues (leaky tap, tv reception) and all issues were fixed straight away. They are doing a lot of work, my room has new bathroom, LCD TV, good wI-fi. Beach is right across the road, good, cheap restaurants nearby and I feel very safe in this area. Don't lose that old Bali charm Palm Beach that is what I love about it so much, just hate all those ugly concrete jungles that are going up everywhere, here I am transported back to the Bali that I remember from 20 years ago.
