Myself and my partner read the reviews on here before we booked and thought people may have been being a bit harsh so gave it a go. Please if you read this understand we are not the type of people to moan and complain but this place really is terrible. We arrived late in the evening and when we got to the check in desk we were met with someone that didn't know what they were doing.. check in took us over an hour! We were told the room we booked was not available ( all pre booked with confirmation email ) so we had to go in the lowest standard of room when we booked one of the higher ones ( pool view room ) and we were told the price had gone up by $100 aud even though we had booked and confirmed a price. We were told to speak to the manager the next day but still forced to pay if we wanted to spend the night. The room was ok ( No305 ) it was at the back of the "resort" negatives of the room were that it was very dark but the biggest issue was that with the outside toilet everytime you sat on the toilet people would walk past and be able to look down and see you - I made eye contact with many people whilst on the toilet which was quite the experience!! If you like privacy this is not the place for you! Our room was not serviced the whole three four nights we were there at all, the power went out several times and we had to ask many times for it to be sorted out. The most noticeable issue with the place are the staff members, really rude and not what you would expect from Indonesian people who are normally so warm and have exceptionally hospitality and customer service. We were really disappointed with our stay and would recommend you do not ignore this review and book into this place.
I don't usually complain this much about hotels but... Our stay here couldn't have been worst. We had to switch rooms because our bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned in what seemed to be months. We found a cockroach in one of our drawers. The staff was nice enough to bump us up to a more expensive room with no extra charge and a pool view. It seemed a whole lot better until we found an entire colony of ants on our stuff. On top of that, the resort has roosters on its property don't expect to get ANY sleep from 2AM to 6AM. They also play a movie around 8PM so if your room is near the screen, just like ours was, forget about going to bed early after a long day at the beach. The walls aren't soundproof whatsoever, so if you have kids running around the resort and screaming, that can be bothersome as well. The lack of proper sleep and comfort ruined our stay in Uluwatu. We had trouble appreciating the beautiful views because we were so tired and irritable. So once again, AVOID this resort.
Entrance to the resort is a beautifully decorated Thai restaurant, food is nice and breakfast is served here too. Villas are fantastic, it's like your own private Balinese village. Room had everything we needed with it's own private outside bathroom, including; fresh towels, toiletries, very nice bed with mosquito net, AC and a fan, mini fridge, dressing table, outside balcony and sitting area. No in-room phone, but staff were extremely helpful and it's a short walk to reception - Christian was especially welcoming and went that extra mile to help us whenever we needed something. Loved the pool, towels provided here too. Not much near by or within walking distance - except for the golf club, but the hotel offer a personal private taxi service to tourist attractions and beaches. We used this on our trip to Uluwatu Temple. (TIP: if going here make sure you have a return taxi booked as getting hold of one after the dance show can be difficult - we learnt the hard way! Ask the hotel to pick you up!) Overall, loved our stay here. Would stay again. Even though close to main road, and a bit out of town - extremely peaceful and a hidden Bali paradise.
" My dream "hotel at first made a very nice impression . Can't deny that the hotel area is very pleasant, the garden and design of the place in general is nice and super good looking , houses are good as well for the price they asked, as long as the hotel restaurant wasn't bad , not perfect but had some ok decent food . Since we are not very picky people we didn't mind the fact that they don't clean everyday along with some little details like weird brown liquid falling down from the ceiling time at a time it's whatever . Honestly after the second day it was very clear that the staff of the hotel is very much neglecting their responsibilities , don't want to sound too rude but workers were straight up lazy . you could ask for breakfast in the room and come back to your bungalow at night and find that pile of dirty dishes from the morning. Ok we asked to clean they picked it up , whatever . On the fourth day of our stay there we had to ask the cleaning lady to clean the room . Once again we came back in the evening and found our room in the same condition as it was before. The lady didn't even clean the trash can in the bathroom no bed sheets were changed , horrible . We arrived to this hotel with a couple whom we met a couple of days before , it turned out that our plans of spending the last week in Bali were the same . We hung out with them sometimes having lunch dinner or whatever in the hotel. Whatever you consume in the hotel they put it on your name to make a long story short , This couple left two days earlier than us very early in the morning . Then the stuff told us that "our friends " forgot to pay the bill . Now , once again the hotel stuff is lazy , they barely do things round even ordering some food they forget to bring , so they didn't remind these people about the bill , in the morning they were waiting at the reception no one was there at the desk , the desk had no light nobody, no signs of life and they left. The next day hotel stuff attack us saying we have to pay for people we met 5 days ago . Despite the fact that we knew these people for 5 days and we live in different countries , We gave the contact we had to the hotel so they could try to contact them themselves. Because it's clearly not our problem that they can't do their job properly . The highlight of this mess was when we payed all the bills with tips and stuff one day before checking out , we were leaving the hotel at 5:50 am to catch a plane at 7:40 am. A night shift man didn't let us go out he was screaming we have to pay the bill which was not ours he was threatening to call the police (with whom we would gladly discuss with, if not for the fact of being late for a morning plane ), the man went mad screaming that I'm the sister of those people that we are family , calling us thieves . he tried to take away my passport , I was literally fighting for my passport back , the guy didn't care that we have different names he was claiming that I am the family of those people . We had to wake up the whole group of waiters and hotel workers so they could explain to the man that the names are different . Then he started putting his hands on my boyfriend ( he was so lucky my boyfriend could control himself and acted like a civilized man , while being attacked and pushed ) we were near late for the check in. Disgusted by these people , disgusted by this hotel . Be careful guys , some people smiling at your face with the brightest smile can disrespect you and fight you literally for some sick false conclusions they've dropped . Great stay "my dream "! We will never forget such a disrespect , shame on you.
My Dream Resort is a quaint and charming place to stay while in Bali. They are a small intimate resort emphasizing in natural beauty. The resort consists of a number of bungalows, pool, dining, Meditation room and Balinese and Thai massage. The resort is in an ideal location, just 10 minutes from Dreamland Beach and 20 min from the main Sunset Street. The service and accommodations were excellent. My family and I stayed for 4 nights. We will definitely come back next time we are in Bali.
Never go there! My dreams resort... about 90 euros the room ( fortunately we 've paid Less) and a lot of disappointments. First it's not a resort but a homestay close to the main road, then may be two people of the staff are speaking a very moderate English (everything is impossible or not working if you don't insist) , the view cliff is a joke, the bathroom have no ceiling , impossible to use when it's raining... crazy idea ...We booked a queen size bedroom, had two single beds and it took almost a day to change of room. We rented the worst scooter of our trip , helmets are joke too. I ask for a transportation to the airport during 3 days without any confirmation except the night before we checked out... and at 5 am... no taxi, the bill was not prepared, the security guy took 30 mn to complete the process ( he did the best he can) then for 250000 idr ( taxi price ) he dropped us at the airport, and suddenly ,during the way ,he remembered that the scooter bill was not on the main bill ... and we had to paid again ... Not a fair place , not confortable, really too expensive and NO SERVICE (the staff seems to be new) My nightmare resort
It's very nice place to stay, cosy villas with outdoor bathroom. the territory is green, but the poolwas under maintance. We had a nice thai massage, but we were told that the price is 65 000 rp per person, but after massage they charges `150 000, so we were dissapointed. and great that they prodive tea and coffee at the rooms without additional cost.
cons: we arranged to stay here for one night, however enough though my friend contacted ahead of time, the staff were not prepared for our arrival. Specifically, staff had to top up the electricity to our room (via an electricity card i think) and we had to wait ages before the staff returned so that we could have access to light and electricity in our room. it would have been ok, if the manager recognized this and was prepared to give use a gesture of compensation, but it actually to a while to explain this on the phone to the manager (and we never saw them in person). lucky we had ask for a drop off to the beach during our stay and as a compromise i asked for this to be removed from our bill - which the manager agreed to (as i recall this event, i remember that the staff member tried to threaten us by saying they would call the police, this may have been due to a language barrier or previous experience with guests, however all that matters is we got to resolve this in some way) pro other than that the accommodation was nice, air con, good size, outdoor bathroom was fine (secure) food was fine
We absolutely loved our stay at MyDream - so much so we went back for another week :) the staff are fantastic and always happy to help with any query! The rooms are amazing and having a shower outside was lush! I would highly recommend this place and it is such good value for money! :)
Very authentic Indonesian bungalows with lovely colours and woodwork. This being said bugs could be an issue but mosquito net is supplied. The bathroom was cool with half covered half outdoors style. All seemed clean however beds were not made during our stay. Noise is a slight issue and we wore ear plugs so was fine. Location is quite far from places and we actually found it abit hard to get cheap taxis back to the hotel. Good breakfast place next door called bread basket. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall enjoyable stay
