The experience of this great villa was seamless from the moment we were picked up at the airport upon arrival until being dropped off again a week later. A friendly driver was already waiting for our family as soon as we had arrived and I sensed that we were in for a treat. The one thing a lot of people need during and straight after flying is water and luckily for us they were waiting at our seat in the airport transfer van. You can't blame the driver for the long drive but for Bali traffic standards the 45min drive wasn't to bad seeing as we had no place to be in a hurry as it was already about 8pm at this time. Once we had arrived the porter was already waiting to greet us and take our bags to our villa. We went to reception and received a warm welcome from the staff and to our relief a cold drink and cold towel which is the sort of first impression that some other places lack. The check in process was fairly straight forward and we were led to our villa which fortunately was the closest one to the reception. The villa is sold as a four bedroom deluxe villa which is certainly was as their was just about everything we needed within the villa. The villa is around 400 Square metres which included a pool, garden and four near identical twin rooms all with a connecting bathroom. Even though it was night time a dip in the pool was very refreshing after flying and the pool continued to serve its cool and refreshing purpose throughout our weeks stay. The villa had a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of seating. A water cooler was definitely well utilised, with this being a key feature to western people in a tropical country. An extensive room service menu was well received within my travelling group so we utilised this multiple times so didn't really use the cooking facilities on offer. Each individual room had a king bed, a TV, an air conditioning unit and a desk. So basically everything you would find in a typical hotel room. The room size being roughly 16 square metres with the connecting bathroom being a similar size. The bathroom consisted of a separate shower and bath. The Mutiara had their own branded amenities which weren't very good so I would recommend bringing your own. However they did provide things such as combs and cotton buds so the bathroom was well equipped. Also in the bathroom area was a large sized wardrobe which had things such as an umbrella and jandals and of course plenty of coat hangers and space to store your clothing. One thing that you would find in most hotels but not here is an iron which was a bit unfortunate. The villa did offer a reasonably priced laundry service which we utilised several times. Included in our rate was breakfast and afternoon tea. You could order these meals to your room or have it in the communal dining area. The breakfast was a la carte with plenty of western and local dishes to choose which should satisfy most travellers. All the food regardless of what meal was always delicious and we never found ourselves waiting to long either. The most disappointing aspect was the gym which would easily be the worst I've ever seen. Almost squeezed into a small corner room by the communal pool the gym consisted of very minimal equipment which was all outdated and some machines didn't even work. This is one thing that villa could refurbish as the rest of the complex looked fairly modern. I guess a lot of travellers who come here intend on having a relaxing trip so this probably won't bother many guests. One of the best things I liked was how private the villa felt. With high walls surrounding your villa you could easily have mistaken the villa as a private home. Even walking around the grounds the place felt very secluded and the communal pool was usually deserted when I walked past. The hospitality was your typically world class service that Indonesia is known for. Everyone that we interacted was always very friendly and quick to accomodate our needs. The attentiveness of all the staff leaves a good lasting impression. The wifi was free but would often be frustratingly slow which could annoy those who need to work, however we were on a relaxing trip so this didn't bother us much. Overall this is a very nice place to stay for a week. Apart from minor things such as slow wifi, no iron and an outdated gym the villa experience was exceptional and would definitely stay again if I ever had the chance to.
We recently stayed at Mutiara with 2 other couples, in the newly renovated villas, after staying there previously, can I say what a wonderful change they have made to the villas, but they haven't changed the wonderful staff, who pamper you with their kindness, but leave you alone just the same, cannot say a bad thing thing about this place, the location, staff, backroom staff, are all the reason that we will always return to the Mutiara for our visit to Bali.
Stayed in the 1-bedroom pool villa that had a decent size private pool, spacious bathroom and outdoor dining area. The hotel is also within walking distance from the shopping strip at Seminyak, a short drive or ride to popular restaurants and beach clubs such as Potato Head and Ku De Ta. Highly recommend for couples looking for relaxed holiday!
we booked a villa for 10 days and we loved the villa with its lovely pool "outdoor bathroom"which took a little getting used to but was really practical for the climate.the hotel picked us up from the airport and we where very late but the driver kept waiting for us without complaint.the location was excellent just a short walk to seyminak shops etc.the villa was very comfortable and clean. The hotel lobby was under renovation during our stay but that did not disturb our stay at all.we also did three tours organised by the hotel and these were good value. The breakfast is served in the villa by two lovely Balanise girls Swari and Budi these girls with their friendly manner and big smiles really gave us a good start to every day.We would highly recommend these villas.
Could not have been happier with our choice of Seminyak accommodation. Location was excellent, short walk to Eat St and Seminyak Square. Stayed in a Deluxe room for a few days then a Pool villa for the rest. Pool villa twice the cost of the Deluxe and worth it, but would happily stay again in Deluxe room. Loved that even when in the Villa, you had use of all the Hotel facilities (24 hr staff on site, pool, reception, room service etc). Best of both worlds. Lovely staff and very well managed hotel. Breakfast not bad, better than average if you made the right choice. Eggs, and even pastries good, only disappointment was the fruit. It's no Sisterfields brekkie, but what is ? At the villa brekkie was automatically delivered to your table, at Deluxe we asked and was delivered to our door so we could sit at our little table and look out at the pool. Deluxe room was neat and tidy and apparently soon to be renovated. It was just fine as it was but a reno will make it even nicer. We loved the huge bathroom, which was about the size of the bedroom, giving you a real feeling of space. We had a ground floor room in section furthest from reception (past the end of the pool then turn left) and it was nice to sit at the little table out the front with a view of the pool. There was no traffic noise in our room, and Hotel very quiet overall. Pool villa was very recently renovated and was like brand new. Seems there are a few different setups and types of villas. Ours was a one-bedroom pool villa at the back of the hotel, i.e. not facing onto the main road, so was very quiet. From our experience in the Deluxe room, I don't think there'd be much noise even if we were facing the road. Pool Villa was very spacious and great setup, very classy. Loved the open air lounge/kitchen area, unlimited hot/cold drinking water, cooking facilities inc. microwave, bath and separate shower, 7m pool with plenty of sun all day for the missus (but always a little shade at one end for me), good sized grounds around the pool, and complete privacy. Overall loved our stay, and would definitely stay again, whether in a Deluxe room or Villa. Btw June weather was great, with only one day of rain, lots of sun, and often a cool breeze.
I would highly recommend staying in Mutiara for a number of reasons: The hotel is centrally located, seyminak square is a five minute walk from the hotel, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is immaculately clean and quiet, we stayed in a family room and the room was very spacious and included an ensuite with an outdoor shower, the swimming pool was lovely and it was a little sun trap in the morning. The breakfast was sufficient and there was lots of options to choose from.
This is one of a few restaurants in a row, and so I imagine they all have similar views, but I can only speak for this one, and it certainly has a truly breathtaking vista!! The food was a buffet, with a massive range of mainly Indonesian-style food, and didn't disappoint. But really, the reason to come up here is that amazing view.
Very kind staff who had no problem with giving both our two family groups late check outs at late notice. Location is very central and despite the work being done around the lobby, the villas are quiet and private and very spacious.
Excellent location Lovely staff Food wasn't the best as it was room service because they are doing renovations at the moment but excellent cafes within 5 minutes. Rooms were tidy and comfy beds. Excellent massages Good gym facilities Beautiful pool to lounge around 😊
This place is really great value, the room was massive and comfortable, the pool are was nice, there's a gym, the staff are lovely and are very helpful and it's just a really well maintained resort. Best of all is the location, one street away from all the action so it's close enough to walk to but far away enough that it's still peaceful. Wifi was good too!!
