We stayed in Mahagiri Villas for a couple of nights to unwind before a long trip home to Europe. The location is quite convenient close to the main shopping street in Sanur, and since they offer free driver service within the area - it couldn’t be easier to get around. The villas are clean and nicely appointed with private pool in a small but very stylish outdoor enclosure. The beds and bed linens are great! The breakfast is well prepared and served a la carte style in the villa or in the restaurant. There are some minor wrinkles that should be easy to iron out. We hardly had any wifi reception in our villa, upon arrival our villa was infested by mosquitos, there are no mosquito nets etc. But every issue was dealt with instantly and with great concern. Everywhere we were met with smiles and kindness. We would return.

We stayed here for 7 days with my husband and 3 daughters. Only one of us had visited Bali before our stay but in a different area. The main reason for choosing this resort was because we were a family of 5 so needed 3 bedrooms. The taxi met us at the airport which was all inclusive and when we arrived the staff were more than welcoming. We were walked down this beautiful garden path to our villa and were really pleased. The huge Balinese wooden door separates you from the rest of the resort with private pool, air con in every bedroom and the main lounge dining room which was huge!. All rooms are ensuite and have an indoor bath and outdoor shower which was again private. Beds very comfortable, but the villa looked a little tired and in need of a little freshen up throughout. The road noise was quite loud for the two bedrooms where the girls slept so we asked if there was a possibility of moving and the manager could not have been more helpful. Within an hour we had packed moved and were back in an identical villa but more peaceful ! Breakfast was included either in your villa or at the restaurant area. Fantastic choice of food throughout the day. We LOVED the local coffee which came cup after cup after cup ! Unfortunately we had a huge amount of rain which stopped us visiting a number of attractions and going to the island Lembongan which we learnt had a Mahagiri Resort on it which we were keen to visit. The Spa was a great way to spend an afternoon in the rain and we all took advantage of the treatments including a special offer of a 2 hour massage, body scrub and milk and honey soak which was the equivalent of about $45 NZD !!! The staff were excellent and again so welcoming. After walking through town and finding the road which led down to the beach on the first day we ended up having lunch at a new Beach Club called ABC/Artotel. It was unbelievable. Day beds on the beach (when its not raining!) a spectacular bamboo structure built around a tree which surrounded the restaurant and pool area and fantastic food and service. The overall impression of Mahagiri was the level of service was outstanding, all staff are so gracious and courteous, nothing is every a problem even when running us to town for evening meals, you just ask the restaurant to call Mahagiri and within minutes your car is waiting outside to bring you home all free of charge. We used this a lot due to the amount of rain and Ricky looked after us very well :) On our last day we were flying out at 9 pm so asked if we could have a late checkout which was again no problem and when we arrived back to collect our luggage we were told we could have a shower in the Spa to freshen up before travelling. We would highly recommend staying here and its only about 30 minutes from Denpasar so its easy ! Thank you to all the Staff for a great stay.

I cannot speak more highly of Mahagiri Villas, it is a wonderful place. If you like the Sanur area and are looking for a relaxing stay, away from the hustle and bustle but close to great restaurants and shopping then please consider the Mahagiri. The staff are so friendly and helpful. From the Security Guards to the General Management, all staff could not have made our stay more pleasurable. The Villa’s themselves have private pools with secure access to your private suite. The gardens and restaurant area are just delightful and relaxing. I could not believe how quickly I relaxed from my work commitments back home… I didn’t think I could unwind so quickly… and it was all because of this place… it just ticked all the boxes… and the best part was that the staff did anything and everything for you. Nothing was a burden to them. On our first night, we decided to “eat in”, so the staff arranged a private Seafood BBQ at our Villa with nice cold Bintang and Wine… They decorated the pool, lounge and dining room areas. The only thing they didn’t bring was the kitchen sink !!.. The staff were amazing… and the chef was superb. Pro’s and Con’s: • Staff, Facilities, Food, Ambience, Suite, are all wonderful. If you like coffee you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality. • I class the Hyatt and Hilton as 5 star, so the Mahagiri would be rated 4 at best, as they do not meet such high standards. • Wifi is excellent within the Villa’s. From the restaurant to your private villa, I had no problems. • Breakfast – so many choices… all good • Lunch menu & Diner Menu provided enough variety. • Spa treatment is nice but expensive, just outside the villa’s not more than 50 metres to the right is a great massage shop. 1 hour was 70,000 Rupiah. • Warung Dead Fish Restaurant is 100 metres to the left of the villa which is ok for a snack and a beer. • 150 metres to the right is Bali Japur – it’s a little café that serves authentic Balinese food which we ate at many times on our return from shopping or touristy things… • There are 4 laundry shops within a 5 min walk. • We used the Mahagiri’s transport service (at no cost) to local restaurants, shops and the beach (where they have a beach boy and a few reserved lounge chairs on the beach)… catching a taxi back to the hotel (blue bird is the best and cheapest) was not more than 17,0000 rupiah. Or you can phone the Mahagiri and they will come and pick you up... • There are many Money exchange locations close by (the staff will provide transport and security if required). • Restaurants to consider – Three Monkeys, Art Cafe, Coco’s on the Beach (There are many restaurants along the beach next to Coco’s). • Went to the Bird Park, expensive but great for families • Used a private driver from last time I stayed in Sanur, if you need a name/number drop me a line. Overall, the Mahagiri is definitely worthy of your consideration. We will be back there later in the year.

I honestly have never stayed in such an amazing hotel. We had our own private area with a private pool. The word private is a perfect way of describing it. It was secluded from the outside world yet close enough to all the restaurants and beach we still got a feel of the Bali culture. I would highly recommend this place if you are considering it, look no further!

I spent my Christmas Holidays with my husband and 2 adult children at Mahigiri Villas for 6 days. I never thought it would be as wonderful as it was. I figured the pictures online were embellished, to my great surprise, the place was absolutely amazing! We were treated like queens and kings! They were so attentive to every details and catered to all our needs! We all had a free massage, a free cocktail with hors d'oeuvres every afternoon, a free bottle of bubbly wine and a free dinner. We booked a BBQ Dinner at our villa on Christmas Eve and it was magical! They brought a BBQ to our Villa and cooked amazing food for us. They even surrounded our pool with candles. We had our Christmas Dinner in the dining room, they worked so hard to ensure that our Christmas Dinner was perfect. There was live music and Christmas decorations. Our experience at Mahigiri Villas was so fantastic, I cannot think of anything negative. They also had a shuttle that brought us to the beach and to restaurants in Sanur which was very convenient. They also booked us with a very helpful and informative driver named Eka. Eka was courteous, friendly, well organised and always on time. I have the most amazing memory of my stay at Mahigiri Villas. I can't wait to go back!

I should start by saying that I am an extremely picky person when it comes to hotels, and that I don't normally take the time to review anywhere that I stay. After such an incredible experience at the Mahagiri Villas however, I knew I had to write about this special place. We stayed in a two bedroom pool villa for 4 days to finish off our two weeks in Bali, and everything about this resort absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. This place is beyond incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty and offered extra inclusions that we weren't expecting, like a giant seafood BBQ dinner and traditional Balinese show the evening we arrived which was incredible and so delicious! The villas are a close and easy 10 minute walk to the beach, but the private shuttle is a wonderful option in case you don't feel like walking. The free shuttle to the airport is also a wonderful inclusion. The rooms were beautifully decorated, meticulously cleaned, and the layout was divine. The private pool was heaven! The staff were so genuine and friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The food here is excellent, and we found ourselves opting to stay in and eat at our villa instead of going to the main strip just because it was so delicious and reasonably priced! The included breakfast is a feast with so many fantastic options to suit any taste. I have been to many high end resorts, and we actually stayed at another very high end resort at the beginning of our trip that was double the price but nowhere near as wonderful. Mahagiri Villas takes the cake for best experience, best value, best pool, best food and most peaceful. I felt like we were in our own private paradise, and if ever I return to Bali, I will definitely be staying here! We didn't want to leave! Thank you Mahagiri for such a wonderful and memorable end to our Bali vacation!

I cannot say a single negative thing about Mahagiri Villas. We had a one bedroom villa and it was spacious, clean and the private pool was absolute perfection. In addition, being able to have your choice of breakfast delivered every morning was THE BEST! They also did not hesitate to bring extra bacon, an extra pot of coffee, etc. The service is incredible. Everyone wants to help with any question you may have and will make any arrangements you need (cars, tours, restaurant reservations). I suppose my only teeny tiny complaint is that there was a beautiful soaker tub, but only an outdoor shower. So if you are travelling with friends and/or people that you don't want to shower in front of that may be something to consider (or only have baths). As for the location you are super CENTRAL. You can walk everywhere from here (including the nicest Starbucks). If we ever find ourselves back in Sanur this will be the place we stay.

Wonderful stay in a one-bed villa. The villas are designed to give you complete privacy - which they do. Personal pools and an outdoor seating / kitchen area make the villa's feel very luxurious. The option of taking breakfast, lunch, dinner or even the mid-afternoon tea in your own villa (at no extra cost) was fantastic and a great way to indulge. Food in the restaurant was really tasty and all at sensible prices. All the staff we met were attentive and incredibly friendly. It was nice to feel so well looked after. Our only negative point was the advertised 'gym' was very poor. Almost not worth advertising. None of the cardio machines worked, the free weights were useless and that's it. Not even a yoga mat! I would suggest either updating it completely or simply forgetting it.

We loved this place-every property has its own private pool and the staff cannot do enough for you. There is a free pick up OR drop of to the airport, you can opt for breakfast at the restaurant or at your villa -the spa is fantastic and they also have a complimentary car service to their little beach club and around town. We stayed twice and it is now one of our favourite places to stay...

We stayed at Mahagiri Villas Sanur with our three older children in a three bedroom pool Villa. Everything about the stay was fantastic. The facilities were clean, spacious and well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff- they were all lovely. The shuttle service was very handyand the staff were happy to help us un whatever way they could. The spa facilities were great and we made use of these several times. The food at the restaurant was also excellent quality and value. Couldn't recommend more highly!
