Kuta Paradiso Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

Paradiso, although showing some age, (was quite exclusive and expensive in the eighties), it is still good value, breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had in Bali. there was the standard Aussie/Euro fare, but also a range of local dishes, one cooking station was cooking pancakes any which way, another was doing italian, one morning we had freshly made Indian veggie curry, yum, and the range of breads and cakes and sweets that were bake on the premises were endless. The pool-side entertainment during the day was very good. Room was clean and comfortable, and staff delightful.
Stayed for three nights at Kuta Paradiso, not overly impressed. Upon checking in told we had to pay. Bit of a shock considering we’d already booked and paid with Agoda. Told to sit took 20 minutes for them to actually find our reservation. Asked to pay deposit for mini bar or food around hotel. Said no thanks, they said we will take mini bar away. No probs. Get to room still there, unpacking and guy comes in arghh I have to take mini bar. Yep should of already done it. Room was musty. Not five star. Room faced pool very noisy. And pools not very big. Too many little ones. Breakfast ordinary and reception staff we found not very helpful. Best part was actually leaving with return transfer to airport. You guy was so nice
We decided to try a new hotel, based off recommendations. Here are some pros and cons. PRO We had a room that opened up onto the pool. The air con works. The location. CON Mould in the bathroom. Not very clean. Bed is very hard. Bed is extremely squeaky, my hubby would move any part of his body and bed would squeak. Patio lounges are heavily stained. Breakfast doesn't have much variety, it's the same every day. We were granted a late checkout at 2pm, with use of the lounge. When it came to check out day, the rang us and asked why we hadn't checked out. Simply explained the conversation we had the other day. That was fine. Then we checked out, found out the guy on reception, lied to us. No use of lounge. The hotel is in need of renovations, they have started one side. So I suggest waiting until the renovations are completed and staying in the new area. That way your bathroom will hopefully be clean and not full of mould.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are lovely and cleans. Breakfast has an awesome selection . Great place too stay. Close to shopping centers, bars and resturants Highly recommend this place if your looking for a place to stay in kuta :-)
Quite impressive .Had a ferrari parked as you came in through metal detectors reception area..wanted 800,000 indo $ / $80 deposit from me on arrival and yet when my friend came next day he paid $50.. also he seemed to get vouchers.. rooms nice .. pillow in my room was a bit lumpy ... so I bought one for $7 aus .yet again in my friends room it was good .but strangely my wifi was better. Rooms were quite good .. good beds.. tv with lots of channels including australia Tv ,movie channels ..nice modern bathroom. Breakfast was everything you can think of and more . Even had vegemite . I first went in thinking there would be more pools. but no ,we where lucky . They had a volcano alert at the time ( of which it was ok ) And the hotel was quite.but the last day more people came and the pool filled quick.. If they had a bigger pool area , I would class this place a a 5 star . next door was a seafood restaurant .must be owned by hotel .. waitress was dressed the same as girl near the pool..The restaurant VERY expensive. overall we were lucky and it was a quite nice stay
The hotel is quite old and for me not at all 5-star worthy. First they put us in a small room without a balcony but we booked one with. So after asking they switched the room which was way larger with a normal king size bed. The smell in the bathroom was awefull, gutter smell. And the sink and bathtub had some nasty looking Stains. The breakfast is good, plenty to chose from. Pool is really Nice. One more tip: they say free AirPort shuttle. But its on a scedule (Every two hours) so we ended up taking a taxi for idr 100.000. I think the hotel needs an update, it will be much better.
Flew up to Bali for a quick visit with friends who were staying here, great location, friendly staff, was uograded to a dlx pool view room - very nice. Great location!!! My only criticism - the taditional balinese music that started at 0630 at the breakfast restaurant - nice music but woke me up - 8am start for music would be better!
Enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms are clean. Central position, very clean and staff are very helpful, I will choose this hotel again. Pool has shady spots which I like . Very close to Matahari and Discovery shopping centre.
The hotel is centrally located in Kuta, close to the art markets and the beach. However, the hotel is peaceful and you can't hear any street noise. The pool is amazing, it has all different levels, many water sports including basketball and volleyball. The pool had many recliner chairs situated in the sand which was amazing. The room was very clean and modern still with the Balinese charm hints, the bathrooms were superb with a bath and a shower which is very rare in Bali. The foyer was very luxurious and grand and looked amazing. The breakfast was good, not excellent but enough to keep you going for the day. The one issue was finding the Paradiso bowling centre, the hotel says it has bowling alleys and pool tables and yet you have to walk 5 minutes down the road to another hotel were the bowling centre was. Overall excellent hotel and one of the best Bali pools, would definitely recommend you try. Also, it has been mentioned in a few reviews, and the same happened to me, I had paid the full amount before I had travelled and on check-in they wanted the full payment, and wanted the full amount and said I hadn't paid, after a while the issue was resolved but a little disappointing.
Pool view room on level 3 was spacious, clean and with a generous bed. Breakfast was well catered with various cultural food types. Great pool with kid facilites including volleyball net, basketball rings and spa. Snack menu was sufficient and tasty. Staff were extremely helpful and met our needs. Brilliant location in Kuta - easy access to markets, beach and local shops/restaurants. Used the spa/massage facilities which were A+. Excellent free wifi. Accommodates late check out and secured our luggage for extra late check out.
