When my family and I first arrived to our Villa for our 11 night stay we were not impressed. The air conditioner was broken, no gas, the fridge did not shut and there was rat droppings everywhere. Staff weren't quick to fix the problems they just ignored our complaints about the air conditioner. They offered us to move into another Villa but it was worse than the one we were already in. Everything got fixed within the first 3 days. Other than that the Villa is average. Cleaners are great and polite. Not as great as photos look.
We stayed here as a stopover for 2 nights before heading to a big villa for a family get together in Canggu (said changu) After a long flight we were looking forward to a little something to eat and drink and a good night's sleep. We got to the villas just on twilight and were shown to number 3, a double room villa. One twin room one double. I went to the desk to ask about nearby food or general store but was told supermarket was 30 mins by taxi. Having been to semmiyak before I knew this was not so but we were staying I land and I didn't know what was close by at that time of night. There was beer and drinks in a fridge but that was apparently locked and the keyholder not back til the next day. Hard luck. We had a jug and some utensil. A cooker and pot. Lots of drinking water in a cooler. But we had no food, nothing with the room no coffee or tea, just water and kitchenware. We gave up and went to bed. The beds were famous, crisp clean linen and mosquito nets. A citronella plug in also. The general surrounds are tired and need a good tidy and paint. Peeling off the walls with lime leaching behind from the blocks. There is a bath and shower over that plus a separate concrete floor shower. Good pressure but the heads spray water everywhere leaving the bathroom soaked. Since another couple couldn't make the trip we used the second bathroom to shower and toilet to keep the master one dry. It smelled a bit of drain sewage so I'm glad the other couple weren't there. I'm not sure they would have been happy with the overall cleanliness and facilities. Staff were friendly and otherwise very helpful. The included breakfasts were of a high quality and standard and they brought it to your room at your selected time. No milk though just whitener. Wi-Fi was there but dropped out and not much bandwidth. No restaurant so apart from breakfast and the drinks fridge you're on your own. There is a good wee German warung just up the road about 10 mins walk turn right from the villas. Just by the first bridge over the canal. Go over the second bridge past that turn left and that road had a pub about another 10 mins away. Carry on straight ahead and you'll go into double six road which leads down to double six beach. Lots of shops restaurants pubs cafes etc etc down here. Overall great value for what we wanted in a cheap stopover but not somewhere I would stay overly long. If you are on a budget, want to cook for yourself and want a villa with a private pool tv outdoor living apart from bedrooms this could be the trick! Beaches a good 20-30 mins walk but meter taxis are cheap in Bali! I didn't take photos sorry but there are plenty about.
Booked this expecting a 3 star hotel, clean but basic were our requirements....this place met neither. It is very isolated and next to the river, the mosquitoes were unbearable, they were all through the rooms and beds and curtains. There was no safe avaliable, no additional towls, no deck chairs to sit by the pools with.... it didn't meet basic hotel requirements and we moved immediately. People rating this 5 star must be employees or fools, it brings up the rating unrealistically for a hotel that is a 2 at absolute best. Don't stay here.
I had various concerns about this property after reading reviews.. I had a bit of struggle to get the address right as the one in agoda was wrong and the one in google was right. Use GPS to reach here, else its bit hard. This was my second visit to bali. I took a 3 bedroom villa here. To summarize, its worth for what you pay. Agree ing to the fact that the property needs a bit of renovation and you get everything good for what you pay for plus very very friendly staff Pros - very clean and neat bed, bed rooms - very big living area - tvs in almost all rooms - provides drinking water cans and purifier - very very helpful staff - grocery delivery if needed -clean pool Cons - no microwave - property needs rennovation - toilet is clean but very old - mosquitoes in living area. Have enough mosquito coils, atleast 3 there fuming in the evenings. Bedrooms are ok if kept closed.
It had to happen eventually I guess on my favourite island and we were able to move but it cost $190 for the cancellation fee and a nights sleep. Furious at Booking.com for false advertising and doctored photos. we had arranged to be picked up waited 2 hours....know Bali so caught a taxi and arrived to dirty linen and a melodorous bathroom. Moved the next day. Pull it up Booking.com.
This villa was big enough for me and my familly my baby loved the pool service was awesome breakfast could have been better other then that we loved it we will definitely stay here again cab fares from villa to anywhere in kuta was $3.00 aud cheap and private....
We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa, it was cleaned every day but looks very tired, my shower needed a new head (not much water came down) the rooms were AC and big, they had no international channels on the TV, the staff were very friendly and we organised a driver through them for the day at a good rate. The lounge chairs were very uncomfortable so we both ended up in our rooms watching our DVDs. It a long walk to any where so you need transport. Apart from that the stay was pleasant , breakfast was ok.
Dont believe the photos of this place! If you are thinking of booking into this place - one word DON'T. This was booked by a family member from the photos advertised. We arrived after a 9 hour flight from NZ & were shown to a 3 bedroom villa. The place was dirty thought the bedrooms looked clean. The ensuite consisted of a toilet, bath & the shower was a concrete pad with a shower farcet. The roof above the shower was Perspex but this was broken in 1 of the ensuites & non existent in the other 2. The kitchen fridge looked to be from the 50's. The ice box was so full of ice you couldn't put anything in it. The fridge itself was warmer inside than out. The kitchen consisted of a bench with a 2 ring gas cooker, all the kitchen cockery & utensils were in mouldy smelling cupboards. We spent a couple of hours in this villa & this was only because we were organising alternative accommodation. The villa's are on a bumpy, unsealed road with no street lighting so felt very unsafe especially after dark. My advice - keep well away from here, there a much nicer places to stay in Bali.
Read some of reviews and was not sure what to expect, this is cheap place to stay and has everything you could need, but if you don't walk 2-3 thousand steps a day it will kill you, I average 30 thousand a day at home, I'm lucky to have done 5-6 thousand a day here, if you whinge about everything don't stay here it will kill you,now this is what my family want to say ,we have thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet at the villa, the five min walk is worth it to have a massage, get food, some shopping, an extra five mins and we are at Bintang supermarket,we have our own pool large enough for three kids and three adults to prance in,, breekie of choice made and served in villa everyday, housekeeping everyday, beds are comfy as, aircon in each room, own bathroom in each room, outdoor style lounge, kitchen and tvs in every room and outdoor too, small fridge, filtered water supplied, staff friendly and we have no probs communicating,
Great value for money. Legian is very crazy hectic so it was nice to come back somewhere tranquil and chill. Stayed in 2 bedroom Vila with another couple. Was perfect. Bit of a Mish to find but just show taxi Google maps you will be sweet x
