I had always wanted to go to Lovina and my husband surprised me with this private villa. We were disappointed upon arrival with unwelcoming and unkempt gardens. There very little staff to be of any assistance and very little atmosphere. The room was ok and I dare say was once beautiful. There was no glasses provided nor soap. We wanted to eat in the Villa restaurant for dinner but it was empty of people and staff! We had a kitchen but nothing to cook with and no assistance of anywhere to go in the area. The locks were worn out and I was a little concerned to leave my room unattended. We stayed at 4 other places on our stay in Bali and all but Gino Feruci looked after me for my birthday with simple flowers, fruit or birthday cake to make my time special. I will never return here. Money wasted
Was once obviously very beautiful but is now delipidated and falling apart. The staff are friendly, helpful and have kept the place clean and running to the best of their ability. The owners just need to spend some money restoring or even maintaining it. Broken and not working things everywhere. I feel bad rating it poorly as I don't want the great staff to lose their jobs. Quite literally broken tiles, missing wood, fountains emptied everywhere.
My fiance and I went to this property for a nice vacation since we havent been out for a while. There are pros and cons to this place. Let me begin by, as we arrived, we were not properly greeted, next when we went to the room, it was somewhat run down.. The gazebo bed wasnt set up, there was no cushion in all the sun bed and the couch in front of the room. Whats worst is that, since this has been categorized as "a villa" I was guessing there will fully equiped kitchenette with clean fridge etc.. but the fridge was ABSOLUTELY FILTY, it was green, with stains and leaking water- im not sure even sure when was the last time it was cleaned.. So finally we asked them to change the fridge to another since there was lack of service. Wanting to put our clothes into the wardrobe but again the handle broke.. We were tired, so we wanted to just cook, but again the light from the exhaust doesnt work.. so here i share with you of me cooking in the dark, very not fun.. and the next days they still never fixed it that i had to use the bed side lamp for a bit of light. ofc we wanted our breakfast to be sent to our room which they mentioned it is only available 10am onwards, and we were fine, daily.... the breakfast never came, so we ended up going to the restaurant. The next day we went out to visit places and after a long day, to our surprise our room was NOT cleaned. we asked the front office and they mentioned that we had to leave our key to them.. i thought this is weird, shouldnt they have a spare key..? my fiance got really unhappy and wanted to meet the GM. but again, he or she wasnt around... we werent shock to be honest. That night, we wanted to go for a swim but the bubbles are not working. so we called in the staff to fix it but again, the swimming pool was so out of water that it almost didnt work. the aircon was also really warm... The customer service was not great- no smiles, no good morning, etc.. The villas are ok but I must say Kagum Hospitality, did a terrible job ensuring guests' comfort and the staff training.. The only reason why I gave this villa an additional * is for a great service from the ONLY ONE staff whose name is GEDE from the restaurant, he has a vibrant attitude and he was attentive to what the guest needs (in this case me). I hope Gede's contribution to this property is being recognized as his customer oriented services are the only thing we feel comfortable and welcomed and most of all, felt that he cared of our comfort. The property design itself has a nice character, I am sure if its being properly managed and maintained, it would be very beautiful but shame on the management that the service is terrible and not maintained.
i would like to extend a very big thankyou to Eka in reservations and to all the staff at Gino Feruci Villas Lovina. they were very prompt in replying and helpful for all my booking information and queries, from Australia. they have not only met, but exceeded, my and my partner's expectations. you have looked after our friends very well during their visit (as a gift from us for their honeymoon). they had a 3 night package and received many things for their honeymoon including daily breakfast, a 1hour massage each, a flower arrangement, balloons and rose petals throughout the room, a honeymoon cake and a free candlelit dinner. there was a slight issue with the aircon not working properly, but our friends were relocated into another villa straight away.
Total disappointment. Don't bother reading what the ads say - it's everything you aren't expecting nor do you want. To start, the villa gardens themselves are unkempt. Locks on doors barely work, doors don't open fully etc. it's like, someone cared once but they don't anymore and this has spread across to the reception staff too. Some Villas may have breakfast served in their Villas, others not. It's like a ghost town, with good reason.. read on... The Bathroom: No mirror Shower drains through hole in the wall Toilet smells as you walk in to the room. No spare toilet rolls and if you run out, you must contact reception to ask for more. Bedroom: No English speaking TV channels Dirty coffee cups (sugar stuck to the inside of the cup that looks like it was never washed). No replacement sugar (I guess it's all stuck in the cups someone in the room before us used) Outdoor area: Kitchen with no plates, cutlery or utensils (although there is a cook top) Damaged sun lounges without cushions on furniture. Very uncomfortable. No mossie coils or spray. There are plenty of missiles though. Empty fridge - no supply of drinking water, only two bottles of water to brush your teeth. But there's a kettle, so, expect to be totally self sufficient and buy your water. No beach contrary to claims there is a private beach, rather, there is a private dock to tie boats to. Secure parking: behind a boom gate that is permanently tied open for access to anyone. No bottle opener either. Thank goodness for things with built in bottle top opener. There is none of the expected 'South Bali hospitality' with warm invitation and welcoming in their eyes. It's 'bare minimum' but they are happy to have you pay a high fee for the 'privilege'. 3/5 reception staff speak very little English and so, do not make an effort to help you as they probably don't understand. Transport costs enormous just to travel 15 minutes by their car and driver to do 2 x 1 way 15 minute trips... 300,000 (approx $30AUD round trip) which is very high considering a blue bird costs you 30,000 (approx $3AUD) for similar and a full day driver charges $50AUD to drive from Legian to here. Once you are here, you have to walk where you want to go or do a tour. There are no shuttles and hotel transport is not a cheap option. (Bemo's on the main road have a reputation of charging you up to 40 x the amount). Room service (must pay by cash) comes from a local Warung, so if theres a ceremony and therefore they are closed - you have no warning of this and automatically there is no room service on offer, but you don't find this out until it's too late. In a nutshell, no one cares. 👎🏽👎🏽
This hotel faces the ocean and is impressive in presentation. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious, and our room came with a private pool and a large tub. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. With a little bit more work, this hotel could be excellent. Some parts of the hotel were in disrepair and in need of maintenance. Other than this however, and in consideration of the price, this place is still worth staying at.
Stayed here for an evening expecting a romantic retreat from the hotels on the beach at Lovina. Literally on the beach but not what I expected. No water in the fountains and waterways and a feeling that insufficient maintenance was being done. Attentive staff who were delightful as the Balinese people are, but the amenities need to be taken care of. The room was average for the price.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in July at the villas. Right on the beach at Lovina once you pass reception you are in a different world of quaint luxury Bali influenced villas each with their own pool. Once you close the gate in the high wall you are in total secluded privacy not overlooked by anyone. The villas are well equipped and the air conditioning is excellent. A very comfortable king size bed and lots of space for luggage. The outdoor private shower is nice and so too the inside spa bath. The staff are attentive to your every need; all you need is to ask. Our breakfast was really nice and well prepared. There is an added enjoyment of testing all the various light switches to see what they operate, but was fun.
After reading a few reviews was worried a bit what we can expect from the place . When we arrived very friendly reception team greater and offered a complimentary welcome drink . We arrived earlier than check in time however they could accommodate us and we were heading up into our Villa Ina few minutes. Once we got escorted and showing around where we can find anything the staff left and I could not hide my smile anymore. The place was amazing . Beautiful and organised garden with a massive pool . Clean and welcoming inside . All looked great , and it was .... Breakfast included was not a big portion and not many choice but tasty . And the server , young fella was super nice every morning . Thank you all for the amazing time , we will definitely be back :)
My wife and I were staying in Lovina but needed one nights accommodation elsewhere as our rooms were booked We were recommended the Gino Feruci hotel by the receptionist in our hotel which was in walking distance from where we were staying As soon as as we walked onto the property you could see the lack of maintenance in the gardens We were then taken to have a look at one of the villas available WOW. What a shock the rooms smelt of mould and wee the blinds were all broken the furniture was old and broken it was disgusting.there was a private pool that was full of leaves and rubbish . The receptionist then told us that the rate was $120.00 Aus a night what a joke There was not one other guest there When will these people realise that they have to maintain their hotels in order to get guests We would not of stayed there if they gave us a room for free The position is perfect but the hotel was awful
