I had the most wonderful stay at Chapung Se-Bali in april 2017. At the spa You get the Best massage ever. Very warm and friendly service. The most beutyful surroundings and food in the bar and restaurant.
The place is amazing and worth every cent! We would def go back and enjoy the silence, the pool, the location and great service! We spend 3 nights and got a discount by booking directly on their website - check out if that is still possible!
We went there for a week in Ubud, EASTER TIME, it was amazing, a big part of the success for our stay was of course the SPA, such an ambience, the best service, very professional, and most important organic OILS AND CREMES, we had a treatment every day! Also a very good nail spa.... they really know how to treat ....
Best decision I have ever made, booked a villa with nice valley view, and found out it was only built for less than a month, so we were literally the first customer to stay at that particular villa. Private pool is smaller than expected, but the ice view has made up the lack of size. Tried both their on site restaurants, and both are exceptional, from breakfast to dinner, the quality is great. Will definitely go back in my next visit to Ubud.
This accommodation was incredible. It honestly was luxurious and so relaxing. Being in touch with nature whilst lazying by the pool just incredible. The villas were private and you felt like the only ones there.
I have had the pleasure to stay for a week at the Chapung Sebali Resort. A Resort who combine authentic Balinese wildniss and luxery living. If I scould evaluate this Resort it would get 5 Stars without a doubt. Great Dining, Breath Taking veiw at breakfast, amazing pool area at the Jungle Fish Pool and SPA. The personel provide a great service in a wonderfull familier way.
I have been living in Bali with my family for 9 months, and have been travelling and exploring Bali in its 4 corners. We have been to so many hotels, guesthouses, resorts and private villas, and I think that Chapung SeBali is by far among the most beautiful places. We spend 2 nights in the one bedroom villas, very spacious, beautifully furnished, comfortable, pleasant and simply perfect. The staff and management went out of their way to make sure we get all the pampering possible. As for the spa, is a place nobody would ever want to leave. An experience not to be missed.
Brautiful resort with private villas and great view. Both private pool and a great beachclub - just without a beach. Good service, spa and two restaurants; one with fine dining and one more casual by the pool. The interior and exterior design is abdolutely beautiful!
Located about 1.5drive away from airport nestled Chapung in the back of rice paddies. What started as a presumably happy family trip quickly descended to huge disappointment. If u r a party goer n couldn't care less about non resort stayers walking in n out of the compound, hogging the resort main pool n smoking away with disregard of little toddlers who might have been happy to use the pool, then perhaps this place is for u. My biggest gripes is summarised as below 1. Strangers n people from nearby resorts can stroll into the compound n use the resort pool. There are supposed to be charged for maybe like under usd$8 for the whole day but I have seen people who walked past reception n waltzed right through. The pool is overcrowded with non resort stayers n smoking rampant. It makes dinner at Jungle fish there impossible with kids, so we r practically forced to dine in 2. Noise. One of the nights there, our toddler n myself couldn't rest early since they had some live singing band going on in nearby resort till 10pm n we r powerless to ask them to lower the volume. We feedback to the recep staff to try to get the other resort to lower the volume but nothing was or could be done. So we were forced to stay up. 3. Misleading web photo. They showed TVs in the 2 rooms for 2 room villa but false advertising. There are none in the room n we are stuck with one lousy tv in the open air lounge with no sound system so that means we can't hear squat when it was pudding down rain or over the damn live band next door unless u plaster your ears near the tv. Not to mention feeding mozzies at their leisure 4. I love nature but the place is unsafe for toddlers n u need 24/7 monitoring in case they venture inside the villa n fall into the unfenced lotus pool next to the room. Frogs crocking made early morning alarm redundant and be prepared to wake at 4am 5. Aircon in main bedroom is insufficient power to cool the room n we woke up sweating. Had to request for standing fan 6. Food. Hits n miss. Katifi prawns were good, ribs passable n the rest..... I couldn't find anything non fried for toddler. I requested for steam fish but sadly the fishy meat was rejected by my 2yo. Chicken broth with carrot was also dismayal. Breakfast crossiant is very good n so is apple turnover pastry but that's it. I wish they do not allow smoking in breakfast area or at least segregate them According to the breeze direction but we had to suck it up. Apple juicer must be faulty because it's not properly strained n I find bits n chunks in the juice with green leaves?? I couldn't bear to feed my kid that fresh juice. Kids meal fish n chips is terrible. The breaded crumbs sticks to the white flesh which makes is impossible to separate n it was hard n makes eating difficult even for adult not to Mention kids. 7. Misleading web states kitchenette available. It only has a sink!!!! So we had to ask for hot pot stove to try to cook something for my boy. 8. A lot of mozzies. Bring lotsa big spray. I expect nature but not to be living blood bank 24/7. 9. Nothing for kids to do. Compound small so no where to go. No kids area to play with. Basically not for kids. 10. Shocker at the pork belly portion for dinner. Only 3 small pieces!! Even my baby eats more than that. Good points 1. Staff are generally friendly. 2. Hubby said the massage wasn't bad but I was in too worried about meals for kiddi to enjoy the stay We were booked in from mon to sat but the place was so disaster n so we packed up n left for another resort on thurs. I should have left on wed after experiencing real Bali resort holiday in our new resort.
We spent the day at the Chapung SeBali Resort and Spa and it was jsut amazing - exceeded all expectations. It's a little outside the Ubud tourist clutter and well worth the trip out of town. The grounds and amenities were beautiful and very clean. The staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. The food in their restaurant - Jungle Fish - was amazing! The best meal I had in all of Bali - hands down!
