If you are considering this Hotel – don’t bother looking at any others they wont beat the value, location, cleanliness and hospitality of the Bintang Kuta. I stayed here with 4 other ladies – we are all over 50 and we are picky. The Bintang blew us away in value for money. Seriously 10 mins from the airport. I have been to Bali 48 times since the 80’s and have stayed in every area and varying levels of accom and I am putting this in my top 5 picks. The hotel has about 40 rooms they are modern, spacious, well maintained and very clean. The bathrooms are really well set out (no bath) and have plenty of space. Good hanging options. No balcony (but not required as plenty of other places to sit). Plenty of room for 2 single beds and a sleeper. Light and Bright. Fridge is empty – brilliant put your own stuff in it (100 metres to two great 7/11 and Cocos Supermarkets). Official money changer across road. Pool is a really nice size for a dip and chat with travellers (not for exercise) the swim up bar is great and they are happy to let you create your own cocktails or have their signature drinks. Food on menu was usual stuff and well done but the Satay sticks were really good – prices are excellent. Plenty of sun beds and shade or sun options Breakfast has more than enough choices and they will bend over backwards to get what you want. It’s a beautifully maintained property only 5 years old and staff are so lovely and friendly. If pool and swim up bar not up to your liking you can utilise the sister hotel next door Ramada which is very upmarket huge pool but prices reflect the “upgrade”. Beach 2 min walk through Ramada gardens. Situated 150 metres from Lippo Mall – 10 min walk from Centro and Water Bomb Park. If you stay 3 nights or more they pick you up and drop you off as part of booking. Kids would be okay because you can pop next door to Ramada if they want a bigger pool and run around area. This is a gem in this class of hotel and the level far exceeds the Star Rating.
What a great hotel staff were amazing, hotel was so clean, rooms were a great size, very central location, couldn't fault this hotel and would differentially stay here again, my family had booked 20 rooms for a wedding, none of the family had any issues.
We stayed here for a week this month in interconnecting rooms (one with king bed and other twin). It's a very short drive from the airport and right next door to Lippo Mall. Staff were very helpful and friendly on check in and we were able to leave our luggage there until our rooms were ready. The rooms themselves were quite basic but clean and spacious with a mini fridge to put your drinks in. You can request an iron and ironing board from reception if required. The shower was lovely and worked well. We had rooms overlooking the pool area and couldn't hear any noise at all. The pool staff were wonderful and so friendly and we loved using this pool (although you are able to use the pool at Ramada Bintang too). Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from compared to 5 star resorts, but was still excellent value for money. We have already booked to stay again next year :)
my flight got cancelled from jestar , i dont know i assume its due to volcano but it doesnt effect me at all - all i want is to go to bali for my 2 weeks break. so i have no choice to cancelled the accommodation which have already paid back in jun or july for upcoming reservation on 16-23 november 2017, I aware it's non refundable but we give it try if they can help us to refund our cause $600 is not small amount to just waste without using on it and plus it's not our decision to cancel. We called first time to reservation and they said its refundable before 30 days of arrival , i called following day then the lady in reservation bintang kuta said its non refundable and no such rules said 30 days of arrival refundable for advanced purchase as her manager name KRISTINA said to her . It was very confusing that 2 people said two different things and at the phone call I had with the reservation wasn't feeling welcome at all. first impression is 0/10. I work in the industry at the front office and i know such rules for cancellation but it's okay but no thank you for staying here in this hotel no more next time.
This hotel as always is just brilliant great value for money but just a great place to stay. This is the seventh stay at the Bintang Kuta and it never fails to please. The staff are just lovely nothing is to much or to hard for them to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast is great always a good variety. Great hotel for families.
We needed two rooms being a family of five so value for money was very good, breakfast was basic but if you wanted something different it was not a problem for the kitchen to wip it up for you, however the corridors smelt like cigarette smoke a little off putting ,the good points are walking distance too Lippo Mall and Water Bom ,Kartika plaza and a dozen or so restaurants although the shopping is better in Legian close to airport as well get them to pick you up and drop you off , you can use the Ramadas facility's and there beach side restaurant is very good ..
My wife and I have just returned from a 7 night stay here. The Hotel is only 5 yrs old, so it's quite modern and as it's owned by the Ramada Bintang Hotel, you can use the facilities at The Ramada as well. We got free airport transfers which impressed me greatly. The room was really comfortable and well appointed. The pool was pretty good, however the water was quite cold, but ok once you were in. The only thing we were really unhappy about was how noisy it was when people were walking down the corridors due to it being tiled not carpeted. Thats not really the Hotels fault though, more the fault of some very rude guests. The staff are really great, especially Sanjaya at the Lily Bar who has brilliant service skills. It seems like a great place for couples.
The Bintang Kuta hotel is fantastic value for money. The service was great, the rooms were spacious, equipped with a big tv and AC, good shower, and yummy breakfast which changes slightly everyday. There is a massive plus side that the Ramada is attached to the hotel and you are able to use the perks such as gym, swimming pool and beach which we used everyday. The guy working in the gym is such a smiley person who helps you out with anything you need. The only, and seriously only downside, is the extremely slow internet speed. After coming back from a day out you just want to relax and go on your phone or tablet but you can't access internet or it's just very slow. But actually if you take your phone out to the hallway the Interent is fine but how many people are going to get out of their comfy beds! I would highly recommend the hotel. Please fix your Interent and you will for sure get 5 star reviews!
We were travelling as a family across a few rooms, Hotel was nice enough looking and beds were comfortable, though some bathrooms smelt and when one of our party complained it wasn't fixed. Staff in restaurant were friendly. The Wi-Fi was painfully slow and while I could live with this, there was a day when it did not work at all. After 5 of our party had informed the staff I approached reception again in the afternoon to ask what was happening and they acted surprised and told me I needed a password. They asked for my phone to reset the password even after I had told them numerous times it was not my phone and no one had Wi-Fi. Only after trying themselves for 15 minutes did the man agree there was an issue with the Wi-Fi. When someone else asked 2 hours later why there was no Wi-Fi they again looked surprised that there was an issue and agreed to call the service provider. I accept that things happen with technology but to not communicate it to guests and to act as though they hadn't been informed if the issue is rude and ridiculous. The hotel was noisy and we were woken up at 8am by housekeeping wanting to clean the room. I have never stayed in a hotel where cleaning happened this early or we were required to put the do not disturb sign on the door so we could 'sleep in' until 9am. The pool was freezing despite allegedly being heated and as the Windows had no privacy coatings people were clearly visible from the pool area, meaning you can see people getting changed even when they were standing well away from the window. The corridor stank of cigarette smoke and when we saw someone smoking in their room reception told us that the 5th floor was a smoking floor and if it was full the manager would allow people to smoke in their rooms with the window open. An open window does nothing to stop the stink of cigarette smoke and considering I could smell it in the hall I would hate to think what the room would smell like, let alone how this would affect asthmatics. I found this outrageous and disrespectful to future guests that not only would they advertise their rooms falsely as non smoking but would also not enforce this rule. I would not stay here again.
Rooms cleaned super quickly, rooms are nice and bright, staff lovely, small hotel. Breakfast was basic but okay & pool always nice & quiet, can also use ramadas pool. Very happy with cheap price for such a nice hotel.
