cant fault. petfect in every way..albeit a little top heavy on prices. this place is AMAZING food is top notch and the staff very helpful. a definate for romantics and families alike. thank you for use of the facilities too
Great setting, perfect for fabulous sunsets, deliciously warm seas but plastic is an issue. Our villa was nice, clean but tired in some areas. Sun beds looked tired, outdoor lighting did not work, outdoor shower - water went horizontal, enormous bath but only enough hot water to fill 10cm. We all found the beds not very comfortable. The food was good but over expensive, we noted that the same salsa was used for different dishes. We took ‘reflexology’ treatment but this was just a foot massage, back massage was good. The staff were charming, could not have been more helpful although language was an issue with a couple of staff in reception. We had a great stay, they have a small range of canoes/paddle boards etc but we felt it was expensive.
I stayed in this hotel 3 of my 5 nights in Bali, therefore I booked in advanced and had high expectations (I couldn't afford to pick a bad choice for such a short vacation). When we reached the Hotel coming from Ubud, where we had a great experience, we were slightly disappointed.. even though they upgraded us to a beach view cottage, we had the feeling of the room being a bit too old for a 5 stars hotel (we were paying around 300USD..). However the worst was when we walked in the evening on the beach and found out how dirty is the beach. Unfortunately in the transitioning season there is a lot of dirt in Jimbaran beach. After all this I have to admit that the hotel manager made a lot of efforts to accommodate us and they provided few compensations that made our staying worthwhile. Beside what I mentioned here above few things that were very good: - the swimming pool - simply amazing, clean and deep water. A pleasure to swim in it. - the Beach restaurant - Amazing food!!! their black cod reminded me of the famous TAU Restaurant in New York. - The service - The sunset view - Their massage at the SPA was fantastic!
Just returned from a very lovely stay with kind and extremely helpful staff, in a quiet and beautiful area. Great pool, great view, great beach, great bar/restaurant, breakfast and sea. Excellent place to relax and just enjoy life, along with lots of local people also enjoying life at the beach, either working og relaxing in the evening. Highly recommended compared to the more overcrowded places nearby. Three things which can be improved: 1. The rooms, for a 5-star hotel, could be mosquito free and more up to date overall. Too many holes in the building lets the mosquito's in, even with A/C and fan on full speed, and mosquito's inside the mosquito net could we have missed in a dengue area. The personale fixed the problem by removing the mosquito net and giving us the right amount of repellent to "clean" the room for mosquito's :-) 2. The pricing compared to quality is at the high end. 3. Would have loved to enjoy the music from the waves instead of the musicians in the evenings! Overall I would have given 5 for a 4-star hotel, considering it is a 5-star hotel they have to settle with a solid 4.
Overall the hotel grounds are nice, lots of greenery and cute little ponds by every room. My husband and I stayed in a villa, the rooms were pretty dated with the living room being in one building of the villa and the bedroom in another. My main concerns were that the rooms had a weird smell to them, not sure if it was the bug spray that the staff said they used daily. With that said our bedroom was still covered with a lot of mosquitos. The beach was dirty, there was so much plastic and garbage all over the shore. I’m surprised that the part of the beach in front of the hotel was not cleaned. The breakfast selection was average but the lunches we had were pretty good. The staff was nice, and we did get beautiful views of the sunset every evening. But overall I would not stay here again.
We book this property because of its quiet location and excellent reviews. We certainly weren't disappointed. This is a beautiful quiet resort that is more typical Balinese than the adjacent big chain hotels like the Intercontinental and Four Seasons Hotels. All the staff from the time we checked in to the day we checked out was warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a comfortable very spacious and well appointed beach bungalow. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and complimentary breakfast delicious and plentiful. The only negative during our stay was that the beach had quite a bit of plastic debris on the last day due the heavy rain and wind the night before. Unfortunately this is becoming a bit of a problem on the beaches around Bali. We would however definitely recommend this beautiful property if you want to relax in a quiet and friendly environment.
We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights. The hotel is of a high standard. It's meticulously clean throughout. There is a tranquil indonesian feel about the place. We were lucky to be upgraded into a pool villa. Wow it was amazing. The villa was hugh with all the facilities you could ask for. It is great that they provide free bottled water each day and lots of it. This means no nasty plastic and plenty of hydration. The WiFi is good with a strong signal throughout the hotel. Breakfast consisted of a great range of choices with fresh daily choice of cooked eggs. Lots of great breads , fruit and cereal etc. Even the coffee was good. The service was very professional and friendly. The pool is superb. It's also very big so you can get a good swim in fresh water or relax by its side near to the sea. The beach front is beautiful and benefits from the sun set which attracts lots of visitors up the beach at night. The hotel lunch and dinner is fabulous. It's fresh, high quality and a good price. In fact the drinks are a good price. The only exception is wine but that's because of the Indonesian tax at 300% which is a great shame for the hotel. That said you can get wine you just have to pay a little extra. If you want a totally relaxed holiday by the sea, with great food, friendly professional service then this is a great place to stay. Thank you to the hotel manager and all at the hotel for looking after us.
We arrived on my friends birthday and were upgraded to a suite of rooms for the duration of our stay. We had our own swimming pool, separate dining room and sitting room and a butler. Wow, it was amazing! Breakfast was plentiful and varied however we did have dinner there one night and it wasn’t great. It’s safe to walk along the beach at night to the many beach front restaurants, many of which serve seafood. It gets dark so you may need a torch. Service in the hotel is excellent and staff are very friendly. Great place to stay but the beach is not clean. Lots of debris washed up by the Indian Ocean every day.
We came away with mixed feelings about this place. The hotel, its facilities (rooms, pool, restaurant, ...) and its staff were all amazing - it really is a top notch hotel. However, it naturally charges a premium for its direct access to the beach when it in fact takes very little care of it. Bali has an issue with plastic, as has been well documented recently, and the beach in front of the hotel is full of it. Time on the hotel’s beach is simply unpleasant unless you’re only interested in the sunset view (which is truly amazing too). Compare this to the beach at the Intercontinental a little bit further down and it’s completely clean and a joy to spend time there thanks to the early morning clean-ups that take place.
We went during low season so there weren’t a lot of tourists which we were fine with. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with a pool. It was magical. The service was outstanding. The in suite breakfast was delicious and made to our liking. There is an afternoon tea service with quality teas and an evening tea service which was perfect. It was enough just in the villa to stay there. Our roof did leak a little bit during a rain storm but maintenance came to fix it right away. To be honest we didn’t use many of the amenities within the compound. Within the hotel they had a pool, restaurant, bar, and spa. There are also amazing restaurants within walking distance. It was truly magical and makes you forget all your troubles. Reality is nonexistent.
