It was very shocking to me to have a rat in a 5 star hotel room, but the staff did not take it seriously as if it happens all the time. I heard something moving around in the cupboard at night and found that the chocolate in the mini bar was munched on the next morning. Our butler came in for investigation and told us that it was a rat. I was so disgusted and freaked out and reported it at the check out desk. The front manager said "rats are always looking for food" as if it was nothing serious. I lost my words...

The Belmond is the contrary of all the other five star hotels at the beach. The only one which is really quiet and directly at the beach. Nice bungalows with big rooms in Balinese style. Very good restaurant. And the GM, Mr Keppler, does a good job with a very friendly and service oriented staff. At the beach they offer massage for a reasonable price. We are here for the second time and will anytime come back!!!

We stayed in a 2 bed villa. The layout of the villa is huge, on or side you have a living area, bedroom and bathroom. In a separate block is another bedroom and bathroom. Both rooms have outside showers, which everyone must try. Each afternoon we were delivered an afternoon tea which is a lovely touch, and in the evening at turndown, again a hot drink and small biscuit/chocolate were left. Each and every member of Belmontd are friendly and eager to help, it was a pleasure when even the grounds staff greet you as you wander the resort. The resort itself it amazingly kept, and the short walk to the beach is lovely. My only criticism is that the having eaten at other Bali restaurants the quality of the food could be improved.

We stayed at Belmond for 5 nights and I wish we had booked for many many more. The hotel itself is amazing. We stayed at villas 74 and 75. A little far from the beach but the villas were fabulous. With our own swimming pools and the best service you can hope for. The hotel stuff is well trained and always there to serve you with a smile. Agung, the guest relations manager is an asset to the hotel. He was really helpful and took the time to make sure we were happy while they accommodated us. If you plan to have a a luxury vacation in Bali, be sure that the hotel will meet your expectations! It sure did it for us, two adults and our three children aged 19,17 and 10.

We were at jimbaran bay and we were walking on the beach to find a nice place to sit, see the sunset and eat. We stumbled upon this gem - amazing service our lovely serving lady was super fast, the food (crab and prawn sandwiches) were scrumptious, fries and drinks were cherry on the cake. All in all we left super satisfied. But the hotel itself look fascinating and we decided we should definitely stay here when we come to bali again.

I've stayed 2 and a half days at Belmond Jimbaran and had the best time. When we arrived we got upgraded to a a pool Villa that was very spacious and had everything we needed. All the staff are super friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious. If you want a very relaxing holiday away from the hassle and bussle Belmond Jimbaran is the place to go right next to the beach! Try the Balinese massage at their lovely spa as it was the best one we had in Bali! Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so memorable and we hope to be back soon. :)

OVERVIEW Everything about the Jimbaran Puri is a superlative. The resort is beautifully laid out, the staff are outstandingly helpful and friendly, the accommodation is stunningly superb and all of it next to a lovely stretch of beach. Admittedly we were in deluxe villa with pool but regardless of your choice you can expect 5 star treatment. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and the characteristic warmth and helpfulness of the Balinese staff made every day a pleasure. Some things weren’t right first time - for example, I ordered a Caesar salad which was drowning in dressing. But it was quickly replaced with one that was exactly what I wanted. DINING The restaurant on the beach was particularly notable for its freshly caught seafood which you could see before you chose and also decide how big a portion you wanted. I’ve seen criticism of the cost of meals but, compared to hotel dining in the UK, it was excellent value for money, always beautifully presented and very tasty. Room service too was surprisingly inexpensive (great burgers). Wine is very pricey but that seems to be the case all over Bali but local beer is great value alternative as are fresh fruit juices ACCOMMODATION We’ve stayed in some of the best hotels in world but can say with complete honesty that the deluxe villa with pool beats them all. It was a haven of tranquility in a stunning garden setting. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s afternoon tea with pastries served by your own butler. (Great to finish it off with a dip in the spacious private pool) IN SHORT Amazing, not cheap but very highly recommended. We’d go back tomorrow! (And special thanks to Customer relations manager Jenifer who is a great ambassador for only for the resort but for her country)

Staying at the Belmond Jimbaran Puri was an absolute dream. It all started when we met one of the hotel's drivers, Wayan, at the airport and he had cool, damp towels for us to wash our faces and help cool us down. Once we got to the property, we met with Charles, the general manager, who informed us that we were upgraded to a cottage with a private pool. The accommodations were nothing short of spectacular [thank you Charles!]. And, then we met Jeniffer. We can't say enough nice things about Jeniffer. We knew roughly what we wanted to do, but, didn't have any specifics [ie. we knew we wanted Sunday brunch, but, not where]. Jeniffer was so unbelievably patient with us and helped us with suggestions and even making reservations. But, she didn't just call and put our name down. Somehow she was able to literally secure the best seat in the house for us. We knew we didn't want to drive while in Bali and were going to hire a driver during our trip. On the way to the hotel in Wayan mentioned that the Belmond offered driving services. Although we could have paid less by finding a private driver, we opted to go through the hotel and specifically request Wayan. Wayan made up for any extra cost. He drove us around on two separate days, sharing his personal experiences with us throughout. We could have never asked for any better. As for the physical aspects of the Belmond; it's exactly what you'd expect for a hotel on Bali wanting to feel like Bali. All of the details, down to thatched roofs and wicker beach lounges scream "Bali". The grounds are not overly ornate, but, nor are they spartan or antiseptic. They are just right. And, the grounds crew maintains them meticulously. After an afternoon rainstorm one day, we saw the crew in action. They first made sure all of the lounges were properly set up and fitted with new towels. And then, immediately afterward, they started cleaning the beach of trash washed up / brought by beach walkers. We have never stayed at a 5-star hotel before and I feel bad for any future 5-star hotel that we may have occasion to stay at. The Belmond Jimbaran Puri has set the bar so high, it will be incredibly difficult to top.

Wow it's cool.... When we passed on the beach side, we saw some tables were set up for a romantic dinner, and the staff was looks busy to prepare the ocation. what such of fabulous place, and l like it

This hotel was paradise for my wife and I as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. As seasoned travelers, my wife and I sometimes want to be left alone, but other times want the luxury and service that comes with a larger resort. The Belmond Jimbaran Puri provided us with everything we wanted. The service here is second only to the location of the hotel. The people are extremely friendly and very helpful. They are genuinely engaged in making your stay the best it can be. Upon arrival, a porter took our bags and disappeared while we toured the front area of the hotel. A reception clerk prepared our check in documents while someone else gave us a cold towel and a drink. Then the manager, Charles, came out and personally greeted us. We seriously felt like we were the only guests in the entire hotel that day! We booked a one-bedroom deluxe private pool villa, so our butler came and escorted us to the room in golf cart, which to be perfectly honest, I could have done without - after nearly 24 hours of travel from the US, I would rather have walked to stretch out the legs. But regardless, it was a nice treatment. He toured the room, gave us our key and left us alone. The room was amazing. The grounds had a gazebo, loungers in the sun, AND loungers in the shade, a private pool, and fountains. The room had separate lounging, eating, sleeping, and bathing areas. The bathroom had an indoor and an outdoor shower, as well as a large stone tub. The shower had strong water pressure with a rain-fall head, and a handheld shower. There's also a safe that's easy to program for your money and passports. The room was equipped with plenty of free bottled drinking water, a nespresso machine with complimentary coffee, daily fruit, toiletries, and even insect repellant. The towels were thick and fluffy. The bed was comfortable, but is not a traditional one with springs, so the padding would bunch up in certain areas. Personally, i liked it, but my wife felt it was a little too firm. Her favorite thing to do was to lay on the couch in the lounge area and rest there. Plenty of room to do what you want. The butler offered us afternoon tea each day which came with light snacks and tea of your choice between 3 and 5 pm. Each night the butler would "turn down" the room and would include a light snack and tea for the evening. He would also fix the bed, and close all the shades. We LOVED the service!!!! Every time we left the room, there seemed to be a butler waiting for us outside to see if we needed anything at all. Not obtrusive at all, but friendly and helpful. The beach is the gem here. My wife and I walked the entire length of the beach in Jimbaran bay and Belmond has the BEST stretch, hands down. Better than all the other higher-priced resorts. The sand is fine and clean. The waves are slight, and the people are not crowded. There are NO solicitors or Hawkers to bother you. There are plenty of shaded loungers with bar service and even beach-side massage. We walked to the other areas and other areas have rocky beaches, or lots of garbage, or lots of people, or lots of sellers. Belmond has the best part of the beach! The breakfast, which was included each day, was very good! It is described as continental, but it's a full breakfast! Each day there was a hot food spread with sausage, bacon, baked beans, sauteed vegetables, Balinese specialty like Nasi Goreng (fried rice), and soup. There's also a cold food area with sliced meat like prosciutto, bresaola, cold cuts, etc. There's also cereal, meusli, yogurt. There's juice like orange, pineapple, guava, etc. and milk, and water. There's also a big display of tropical fruit like passionfruit, dragonfruit, papaya, pineapple, etc. I would take some oranges or bananas to much on in the room. There's also plenty of breads like croissants, baguettes, danish, muffins, etc with lots of spreads and jams. They also offer you made-to-order eggs, and pancakes or french toast. They offer coffee, tea, espresso drinks like lattes and cappuchinos. All included! My wife is a very picky eater and breakfast was her favorite meal each day at the Belmond! We ate at the restaurants (nelayan and tunjung) several times. The food is really good, but compared to the beach warungs, very expensive. This is to be expected though. I will say that the salads are good, but too much dressing for my taste, so ask for it on the side and you're good. We went to the spa two times, both for traditional balinese massage. They ask you a lot of questions to make sure your experience is good. my advice is speak up and be honest! Traditional balinese massage is deep, long strokes so be honest when they ask you what level pressure you want. My wife asked for "soft to normal" and i asked for "normal" and normal is very deep! I loved it, but i think if you're a smaller person, it might be too much. The massage therapists would ask me often how the pressure is, so they are very concerned about making it a good experience. The crash of the waves is very nice as you're right on the beach. Be aware though, that the spa room has three walls and one side is open. so if you're shy, wear your clothing appropriately. I usually go naked, so they give you a pair of disposable underwear, but even then, I felt a little exposed at times and I could hear people walking and talking around the open side. I didn't really care, but again if you're shy, maybe wear more clothing. the location of the belmond is perfect when it comes to eating at the beach warungs. about a 5 minute walk on the beach north there are maybe a dozen warungs to eat at. most of them are seafood only, but some have good satay choices. if you walk south along the beach, maybe about 15 minutes, there are more warungs. When it came time to check out, they asked me if I had a car picking me up and I said yes. When my hired driver (Baliku Travel) didn't show up, the Belmond staff got worried that I would be late for the airport and started calling around to make sure we had a ride. I got a hold of my driver and belmond staff helped me talk to him to figure out what happened. They were really helpful in getting me a ride, and they came to my rescue! Bottom line - this hotel is all about quiet, luxury, and service. The entire time, I felt like i was royalty. it was very relaxing, and the room was amazing. I spent time in my private pool every morning and every night, then went to the beach in the afternoon. Best experience!
