What a PERFECT place to stay!!!! We've spent our 2-week holiday on this lovely resort and we couldn't have wished for anything better. Very professional and fast check in upon arrival. Johan, the friendly assistant manager, took us to our accommodation, a Deluxe Bungalow on the ground floor. The interior, and exterior, of the accommodation absolutely exceeded our expectations. The bungalow was spacious, well equipped, the bathroom was very functional and the bed was absolutely fantastic. Best bed we've ever slept in. Our bungalow was situated at the very end of the resort park, which meant it was right next to the busy road outside of the resort. We didn't experience any inconvenience of this though, the walls keep the sound out perfectly! When you walk over the park, you will notice that everything on the park is very well maintained. After asking one of the many friendly staff how old the resort was, they told us it was 27 years old, which in my opinion is quite old. You can not tell this by the looks of it! Everything is so well maintained, everything works properly, everything is clean! A very big plus!! You can tell that they're proud of their piece of traditional Balinese architecture! Unlike many many other guests on the resort, we did not stay all inclusive. We've only booked the daily breakfast. The breakfast was, also, absolutely perfect. There was a big variety of items you can choose from, from Nasi Goreng, to other typical Indonesian dishes, to freshly fried eggs/omelettes, to freshly baked pancakes and waffles and there was even a built-in see-through cooling room where they kept their cold cuts, which means the cold cuts stayed nice and fresh since the climate outside is very warm and humid. Breakfast was a party everyday! Make sure you take some cashews from the breakfast to your table, so you can feed the absolutely adorable family of friendly squirrels! Not being all inclusive meant that if we had lunch on the resort, we had to order a la carte. The variety in all 3 different restaurants was good, the quality was okay. Don't expect too much of this! We loved the beach area, even though the sea over here isn't really meant to go swimming, it's mostly used for water sports which makes for an entertaining view! If you want to participate in water sports activities, the resort offers plenty! However, if you want to go snorkeling/diving or just go swimming, take this advice: you'll find a walking path on the beach side of the resort. When you're facing the beach, take a right on this walking path. Stroll along this path for about 10/15 minutes (the routing takes you along a lot of the most beautiful and luxurious resorts you'll ever see) to find the following resort: The Laguna. The beach over there makes an absolutely perfect stay if you want to enjoy a good snorkeling/diving/beach day! Also, if you keep walking on this path for about 10 more minutes, you'll find the Bali Collection, which you will like if you like cheap, fake designer clothes and clingy restaurant workers 😉 Swimming pool area on the resort, including the lovely swimming pool bar, is perfect! We booked a day trip with a private driver (August) to Ubud via the hotel. For about $50/€40, the driver will take you anywhere you want. Make sure to visit a local coffee plantage and taste the original Luwak coffee! The tour was very well arranged and ask the reception if August can take you! Such a lovely guy, a great driver and a good tour guide! If you're into relaxing and massages, make sure to visit their spa! Amazing staff, perfect massages! The staff at the resort makes sure you won't come sure in anything you want! They're all so very friendly and look amazing everyday. They'll make your stay unforgettable! Bali Tropic Resort and Spa, thank you, terima kasih, for making our stay absolutely fantastic!
Loved it. The best holiday we have had. The resort is so relaxing, its set in beautiful traditional gardens. The staff are fantastic, the accomidation was excellent, good food. We dont usually go back to the same place twice but we will definately return.
For our first 3 days visiting Bali we chose bali tropic resort because it was a short drive from the island, its a very nice and beautifull place with a clean acommodation and had very nice and welcoming staff. Nice breakfast which mostly is included but sadly dinner is overpriced (even more than what we pay for a good dinner in the netherlands) and didnt taste good at all. Luckily we traveled up to the north where the food is cheap very (veeerry) good!
The hotel is true to Bali style. The rooms are big and comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and helpfull. The gardens are so lovely and the hotel is situated right on the beach. I have been back to this hotel 5 times and it never disappoints.
Very nice resort with nice rooms. Good walking tracks close by that take you to Bali collection and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed staying here as a family. The pool was very beautiful with swim up bar
When i choosed this hotel, actually i confused between other whereas they looking nice also. But at the end, i choosed Bali tropic and never regret at all, have beautiful room, nice food, good location... friendly staff especially mrs.Rahayu... This is perfect place for relaxing
this is one of my favorite hotel in Bali which has color, furniture, ornament of Bali... facing the beach...this hotel location has many attraction nearby I went to Pulau penyu from the boat closer to hotel
Had big expectations for a 5 star resort with beautiful photo in prospect by its just a average resort on the beach can find many in Asia. The beach have nice view but u can not swim there and way to must noise traffic from water sport boats scoters etc. The room bungalows nice but no near five stars and like village no view just next door. I will try something else next time for this prize this not a stunner
My wife and I were at the Bali Tropic for the 2nd time this year... and our 5th visit to the Resort in 5 years. The reasons we keep coming back here are: 1) the staff in all areas of the resort are fantastic, always smiling and so willing to do anything for you. Great memories with Unger, Hari, Crispy, Tommi, Nunda, Dee, Gana etc and new staff in training Punami and Juni. Thank you all for making our holiday amazing again 2) the rooms are fantastic, we normally stay in the Deluxe Bungalow. It's very nice that there's always a "Welcome Home" sign made of Rose petals on our bed before we arrive. You could not ask for better rooms, always clean and made up every day 3) the amenities are now so improved with plenty to do every day, if you just get on and do it! Table tennis, pool, chess, checkers, bicycles, all sorts of water sports 4) the swimup bar is dangerous if you get trapped there with a few Long Island Iced Teas... but boy can you have some fun with both staff and other guests! 5) the food is excellent, with so much on offer to eat at breakfast (don't forget your voucher), and delicious choices for lunch at various places within the Resort. We choose to eat dinner out at some wonderful restaurants along the street, or at Bali Collections, but there is always fancy dinners at the Resort. 6) finding good drivers is extremely easy for full day trips for around $50 for a carload. Just find one that speaks very good English. We are already planning our 6th visit next July with a friend. We wouldn't go anywhere else. We are part of the Bali Tropic Family... Thoroughly recommended to all!!!
This hotel is one of many along the Nusa Dua strip. It is more in the Balinese style than most and is very well maintained. The welcome was professional with a drink and face towel and our bags taken to our room. The standard rooms are functional. Good air con (needed) small fridge and complimentary bottled water each day which was a nice touch. One negative is that the whole place appears to have been designed so that no-one has a good balcony view. Lots would be facing another villa or room or roof as we were. This was a minor point to be honest as we were out a lot. This hotel has a good beachfront with lots of sunbeds although its still necessary to get the old towels down sharpish to claim a spot. Breakfasts were great. All you could eat and drink. In fact most mornings I was having what I would normally consider to be a takeaway. Samosas, fried rice, noodles etc. Don't worry they have all the other options such as cereals, eggs, cold meats etc. There is entertainment each night and several dining options. We mixed it up by going on to the main street some nights to visit the restaurants there. Lots of choice but it is a noisy, busy street. Also outside there are taxi drivers everywhere offering their assistance. We did use one and he was great and very reasonably priced. The hotel has a nice laid back atmosphere and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Overall, had a fabulous week at this hotel. Good quality and hospitality. Thank you.
