Had a royal room which was very nice, great space, comfy bed, hot shower and very clean. The food at the restaurants was amazing, generous serves and always tasted great, came out quick as well. The highlights here for me are the staff, so welcoming and friendly. The grounds so lush and beautiful. The food, seriously the best steak I have eaten anywhere! The food and drink prices are very good as well, $14au for a sirloin!
Stayed for one night (travelling round the island) very nice hotel. Food was average (had room service) nice big bed, shower and plenty of movies to watch and chill. Lovely pool and breakfast. Some chicks and couple of rabbits which seem to be lookef after (i hope)
Was greeted with a lovely cooling down towel and a glass of fruit punch. Staff were always very helpful and the accommodation was nice. Small supermarket across the road if you wanted any snacks for the room. A free shuttle bus to and from shops and from the airport. Will definitely go again.
In comparison to the first place we stayed at this one was a commercialised let down. The Balinese traditions forgotten about, it’s all about the western ways. The beach however was lovely, not sure what burying the seaweed was supposed to achieve but that’s ok I guess. Good beach activities, however haggle, be cheeky, never accept the first price given to you. It’s a past time in the area. The food was passable, again generic and safe for westerners, however we spent hours on the plane to soak up the traditional ways and foods. Only go all inclusive if you drink like a fish and enjoy making a spectacle of yourself, cool pool bar. Very much a butlins on the other side of the globe.
A Beautiful resort , especially considering the price, it's more serene and calm with its private beach. While the pool and rooms are great, food might be an issue for those who are vegan or vegetarian and don't have eggs/fish/meat. Service: 5/5 Great helpful staff, always smiling Amenities: 3.5/5 Pool, small library with more German books, shooting range, spa and pool Value for money: 4.5/5 Based on 3 hotels I stayed in Bali and basis prices in Nusa Dua, this probably gave best value for money Food: 2.5/5 Not great options for vegan. Breakfast spread was huge, but again same issue. Probably for others, this might be much better.
If you are looking for a good, clean, comfortable hotel to stay in, this is the one. The architecture is quite traditional and it makes the whole stay nicer, like you are actually in a different country! The hotel smells sooo good! The food gets boring after a while, so I suggest go out and try the local food because the food they offer is quite occidental-oriented. The beach was not bad, but it had quite a lot of algae, so I didn't swim too much. There are no waves and you can't swim outside the limited area. You won't see colourful fishes, there is an outing to go see them near the reef, go, its very cute. There is always a blue bird taxi near-by so you can get out quite quickly. The pool is super cool and relaxed, be aware of how much you drink though! The water sports gear is a bit too old and not that taken care for... hopefully they will work on it! If you get bad weather, there isn't much to do at the hotel, you might want to go out and explore. I would stay again but not as an all-inclusive, I would only get it for the days I'm staying in.
I have stay here twice. I would like to stay here each time i visit bali, however i am not always lucky as their room is highly demanded on high. This hotel has a helpful staffs and provide all amenities you need. With this beach front location, on the first day of my vacation i don’t need to go anywhere. I just sit back and relax. Swimming, cycling, on the beach in the morning, or swimming on the pool and look at the sea.
Staying there during one of business trip to Bali. It was a pleasant stay, the hotel offers you with traditional setting on the premises. Starting from theri enterence up to the coszy room with traditional looks. The food is good and nice for this hotel, although I don't have time to enjoy all the facilities, however the hotel had a nice pool near to their beach. So it is a good place for a family trip, you can enjoy the beach with all your family. Location wise, it's achievable for you to go sight seeing in Bali. Not very much to see in Benoa beside the water sport but you can still go to Kuta area by car or motorcycle. Recommended for familiy trip hotel...
I revisited the Bali tropic hotel and spa last week, travelling solo for some time out. Was met by the smiling bell captain at the airport, despite a three hour delay in the flight arrival. For the seven days of my stay I was made to feel completely at home, in a friendly and helpful environment. The hotel manager Ketut should be proud of his establishment and staff who represent everything that is good about Bali. A feature for the culture lovers out there is the Friday night culture show which features a great young gamelan orchestra and dancers who are a joy to behold. An authentic experience. The hotel features a well priced spa which offers a range of massage and beauty options which I took full advantage of. I really recommend this establishment and look forward to returning.
We recently spent 11 days at Bali Tropic. It was our 3rd visit to Bali. We had previously stayed at neighbouring resorts Club Med and The Nusa Dua Beach Resort & Spa. We had taken advantage of a Scoopon deal which enabled us to stay in two adjoining Deluxe Bungalow suites. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The bed in our room however was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. The kids’ king singles were slightly more comfortable. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, however this resort could be so much better if they focused on improving a couple of areas. The resort is promoted as ‘all inclusive’, however our deal was buffet breakfast and dinner - no beverages/drinks. This is the first area that needs improvement. Breakfast was generally good; there were options for breads, cereals, egg station, and fresh fruits. The buffet dinner was a different affair. There were very limited options available for dinner. After a couple of nights of the same thing over and over - probably about 5 or 6 different options, we looked elsewhere. There’s an a-la-carte restaurant which was better, but still - not any real variety. We ended up eating regularly at The Bali Collection which is roughly 25 minutes walk from Bali Tropic. There is a multitude of restaurants all competing for your business with all cuisines represented at very reasonable prices. The other area which they need to look at is the grounds and the beach area. There is a track that runs along the beachfront from Tanjung Benoa to Nusa Dua. Along the way you pass Bali Sol, Club Med, The Sofitel, The Westin, The Melia, Bali Beach Resort & Spa, and the Grand Hyatt. All of these resorts have manicured lawns and lovely beaches. Bali Tropic appears to have no idea what a lawnmower is. The attached pictures will give you and idea. The there’s the library/pool table area. When you pick up a newspaper you expect to read something a little current, not 3 months old. Last but not least is the gym. It’s reasonably equipped for a resort, but it would help if the cardio equipment was maintained. The cross trainer was barely operational with the readout not working; the same with the stationery bike. Whilst on bikes, the bikes that were available for rent at 50,000 IRP for 2 hours, could also use some maintenance or some oil on the chains once in a while. On a positive note the gym had a Smiths Machine which thankfully was working. Having said all this, we paid $2500 for 11 days, with breakfast and lunch and two deluxe adjoining suites, so in this regard, it was a very reasonable cost all things considered. You get what you pay for. As I said, it wouldn’t take too much to really improve this Resort, but at the moment, its neighbours have the wood on it.
