Great local hotel. Service was always great and the Balinese people are wonderful! Always had smiles and were very accommodating. Place is nice and quiet even though it’s right off the street. It’s a must stay!
Property is good but they have not maintained it properly, there is some kind of suffocation or you can say humidity inside the rooms as well as in property. I think its because of water. One thing is good water sports facility is available on resort beach. Resort provided free shuttle service to Bali collection and centro kuta check pic for timings.
What a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The two person bath was delightful and unexpected. Large walk in shower. Fabously clean. The staff cannot do enough for you. The food is outstanding. The rooms are in low rise balonese style house set among mature well kept gardens. The pool is the best I have enjoyed anywhere and the swim up bar a delight. We visited all the hotels along the bay and this is the best by a country mile. Spacious. Relaxed and attention to detail cannot be faulted. One hidden gem. They have a shoe shop where they measure your feet and make shoes to your exact mesurement. All in leather. We bought six pairs. We will be back soon as possible.
Were do you start everything about this place is incredible, Typical Balinese Resort Pool,Gardens,Beach,Food,Room and of course the amazing Staff who all ways greet you with the famous Balinese Smile and who just can't do enough for you. I would gladly recommend this resort to any of my friends and family,if We were to return to Bali in the future there is only one place to stay and it's right here, thanks again for making our stay such an enjoyable one xx
We stayed here 2 years ago. Should have gone back last year but due to unfortunate circumstances we had to delay. Hotel was very understanding. We were collected from airport by hotel car, driver was very professional, helpful and in Hotel uniform. On arrival we were welcomed with a very warm greeting and welcome home! Cold towels and welcome drink, very quick check the in then taken to our room. Once again we could not fault anything. To prove this is a Happy hotel, the same staff were still there from 2 years ago. Need we say more. Hubby had a health issue, in no way related to the hotel. It was dealt with very quickly and professional. All staff being very supportive and caring. As last time food amazing, catering for all palates. Romantic dinner on the beach was again amazing and very reasonably priced. The chef and waiter could not do enough, wonderful people. Thank you Rainbow!! Pool very clean, fresh beach towels when needed. Gardens very picturesque. The gardeners do a fantastic job. Security is first rate, even seeing you across the road to local shop. Where do we start the thank the staff for an amazing holiday. We can not name them all but here are a few!!! Yas, Sinta, Harry, "Crispy", Dodi, Putre, Petra, Sang tuuuuuuuuuuu! Meo, Atari, Mera, apologies for any name we have missed. Thank you to all the Spa staff. Last but not least all the chefs, office and back room staff who do a fantastic job but are behind the scenes. Oh just one more thing, clean bedding and towels every day. What more could you want? Yes the seaweed does wash up on the beach every day, this is caused by jet ski's further down the coast. BUT the great staff clean the beach daily. Thank you Bali Tropic, see you in September ❤️🙏🏻
This resort was well maintained with a traditional Balinese feel. We walked to a few other resorts in the evenings, which looked newer, but did not have the atmosphere or look of the Bali Tropic. I think if you have not been to Bali before, you are better off staying in a hotel like this one, and really be exposed to the traditional Balinese style. Our Privacy Cottage was lovely, clean, and big, with the usual amenities you would expect. The swimming pool was large and a good shape, with a great bar, with amazing staff. Make friends with the bar staff and they will look after you! The breakfast was amazing, HUGE variety of food. Lunch was also very nice, with a small variety of food, but enough to keep you happy for a midday snack. We only had dinner once in this hotel, and unfortunately it was a very bad experience. We did not bother getting the All Inclusive package and so had the a la carte menu. As a group of 6, we ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, 3 steaks, a risotto and two chicken dishes. To begin with, the wine arrived warm. As in, it arrived in an ice bucket, and the bottle was cold to the touch however the wine in the bottle was warm. Anyone who has had sparkling wine/prosecco/champagne knows that you need to serve it very cold, fresh from the fridge, after it has been chilling for at least 24 hours. We expected to receive another bottle, presumably that had been stored in a fridge, however after 20 minutes we received our original bottle back. When we protested that our bottle will still be warm, there is no physical way it could have cooled down enough, the staff took it away again. By this point we all agreed that we would simply order beer instead. Between all of this our food arrived. We ordered 2 steaks medium rare, one medium. Unfortunately one of the medium rare arrived completely blue, as in still raw and cold in the middle. The other two arrived very well done, with no pink what so ever. By this point we had already decided we would not return to the restaurant to eat again, so we all just got on with the food and decided to leave. As we went to leave, the restaurant manager came out with our original bottle of wine. He asked us what the problem was, which we explained. He then began to say that the wine was cold and that we cannot complain. He said "we have been doing this for X amount of years and this is how it has always been done. We know what we are doing" Unfortunately this really was the final nail in the coffin for us. The manager refused to budge on his opinion that the wine was drinkable. Such awful customer service. All the more odd, because the breakfast and lunch was SO good. We ended up eating dinner (almost every night) at a Japanese hotel, The Royal Santrian. The food was impeccable here. One thing about Nusa Dua which did disappoint me, was how much litter was on the beach. The beach itself is clean, and there are people sweeping and clearing seaweed, but the sea is riddled with rubbish. It was so sad. I didn't bother going in the sea a second time, even though I usually like to go in a few times a day. So, yes I recommend this hotel, but no, I do not recommend the restaurant at dinner time.
This is the right place for one who is looking for traditional Balinese style hotel. The interior, exterior, hotel room, everything is decorated with traditional Balinese style. The hotel room is big and very spacious. The hotel and its furniture look pretty old but they are still functioning very well and very clean. Most of the resort area is garden so be careful about mosquitoes. However, the hotel provides mosquitoes repellent cream if guests did not bring anyone. Breakfast is pretty good and there is a variety of food available. The breakfast is served at a beachside restaurant. The swimming pool is very clean and the bar inside the swimming pools is fantastic too. The spa is hotel offers a variety of spa treatment and they are superb and not very expensive. I stayed at Bali Tropic as our 5th-anniversary trip and there was a surprise decoration from the hotel. Thank you Bali Tropic for surprise decoration. The staffs are very friendly and they are always ready to help. Overall, I had a great time at Bali Tropic.
Bali Tropic Resort and Spa is 4 star hotel and have Balinese interior. Stay in Bali tropic resort and spa make you have personal Balinese touch. You can do sport activities direct from their beach. Even though the hotel looks old but it clean enough. Since the bali tropic mostly garden, you should be careful about mosquitoes. My advice is bring your mosquitoes spray everyday if you stay out until night at the property
I always pick my hotels very carefully. I was pleased with my choice and booking 7 months before my stay. On arrival however after a 20 hour flight with a 12 month old baby, we were told our room was not available...even though we had pre-paid...and communicated about the taxi transfer...baby cot etc. We were asked to move to Nicko's further down the road. I was firstly stunned....then upset...Finally they agreed we could have our room. This was a horrible welcome to Bali. The hotel is a good compromise between resort without a tacky sterile touristy resort feel. The room was great and the waiting staff brilliant with our baby. The beach is clean. It's just such a shame we were treated this way.
If you are looking for traditional Balinese style, this is the Hotel to choose. All the rooms are decorated with Balinese style furniture, and have balcony with view to the garden or sea. Breakfast was very good and in an open air restaurant just by the beach. Personal was very friendly and effective. If you want to have a small meal at lunch, you may just cross the street, from main hotel entrance and you'll find a supermarket with a nice mini cafe, that serves excellent light meal combinations and juices.
