WE were stressed, tired, fed up and desperately needed to get away. We booked the bali Rani as it was a name i recognized from travelling to Kuta in the 80's. We paid the extra money for a poolview room which i would definitely recommend and were very, very happy. The staff went above and beyond. The room was clean and spacious but was not 5 star deluxe. If you want that go to a resort like Kartika across the road. This was a perfect little paradise, whisper quiet, well located and with restaurants and the awesome Febri spa just down the road.

We stayed here the last couple of night for our 2 week trip. The Bali Rani is such a great little hotel. We had a great time here. Highlights: The best thing about this hotel is Seruni Spa. These are the best massages in all of Bali; and I have been to some really ritzy and expensive spas all over Bali. We had the Seruni special and Thai massage.. make sure to ask for Rabia or Krisna - these ladies have magic hands. Absolutely amazing. It costs around $20-$25 (AU) for 1.5 hours - worth every penny. Trust me. The staff here were so friendly! Special shout out to Dana who was a highlight of our small stay here. The pool area is nice, small but really nice. Good atmosphere, lovely and clean, comfy day beds with trees and umbrellas for shade. The staff will provide drinks while you are in the pool. There is a main pool and a small children’s pool next to it. They have plenty of communal pool noodles too which was nice. We got a small standard room ($59 AU per night) Rooms are pretty standard, but for the cost they are great! Lovely air cons. They do have upgraded rooms which are a little more expensive. We viewed these rooms for next time we travel to Bali and they were really nice. We would definitely stay the the deluxe rooms next time. The food here is nice too; they do lunch specials at the pool between 12pm-3pm. Quite cheap prices. Overall, this is a great small hotel. It’s got a really nice, friendly feel to the hotel. It wasn’t too busy here, which I liked and you didn’t get lost like you do sometimes in really massive hotels. We would definitely stay here again. Big thanks to all staff. We will see you in July/August 2018

Drainage was usually blocked. We had paid huge amount to Thomas Cook but our room wasnt spacious and bathroom was too small. Room wasnt clean and it was a little dark with not enuf lights.Spacious rooms facing swimming pools was given only to people from Europe, USA and UK. Is it fair to show racial discrimination even in such places...? Not sure if it was because we booked room from Thomas Cook and did not book it directly that we did not get clean and spacious rooms. The food that we received from Brasserie the restaurant was too good and the staffs in the restaurant was also very friendly. However the overall experience wasn't pleasant at all except for the food. We have decided never again to go back to Bali or to Bali Rani Hotel. We are from India that doesnt mean we should not receive a better room. We also pay the same amount of money as others do. We are very dissatisfied with Thomas Cook and also Bali Rani. Did not expect this kind of experience even after we booked through Thomas Cook.

We have just returned from a 15 night stay at the bali rani, we stayed in room 119 which is a superior room, room was basic but cleaned every day with fresh towels daily, only down side no balcony or terrace you are just sat in a doorway which can be very noisy as it is the main walkway to breakfast.staff were very friendly and polite, breakfast was lovely and there is an egg station which is great, must say a big thankyou to the security staff who were very friendly and made sure we got over the roads safely so a big thank you to all of them, if we return to kuta we will definitely stay at the bali rani again.

We stayed here, in rani, for 4 days. Writing this review after my horrible experience when checking out the last day. We were checking out at around 2 and sitting out in the lounge. Then comes the hotel staff accusing us of stealing bed runners from our hotel room. Feels so disgusting even to recall it. Here's the funny part....When I told them to check our luggage, they were hesitant but I was adamant. I started opening my luggage and when I was done with 1 bag, one staff member just walks away and comes with a sheet of paper asking me to fill my particulars and write a SORRY Note with reasons as to why I stole what they thought I stole. The main thing...I don't know why they were hesitant to check my luggage after making these accusations. I searched all my luggage by myself and later called that guy and asked him to recheck it once more or as many times as they wanted to be sure. That's when he gave his apology saying that the mistake was from their side wherein the staff hadn't put the bed runner the very same day!! Really!!the accusation and all of this drama without even confirming. With the prenotion that Indians, like us, stay in their hotels just to steal their hotel stuff. Ridiculous!!! We aren't robbers and we really don't need to rob such trivial silly items like bed runners. Simple fact: you guys don't run a charity...we know that...we have paid the money, hence stayed there...don't accuse ppl of stealing falsely without confirmation. Although our stay was fine, the entire experience was nullified and ruined by this bitter encounter at the end. would surely not recommend it to my folks! Not to get insulted again and face this nuisance.

We are un bali rani hotel now! It's a good hotel for holiday, but you remember its 4*, and i think it is good and can be better. They have very polite and good staff and nice breakfast snd restaurant. But i should say the lobby didn't have air-conditioning so its almost hot!! By the vay there is lizards live in the hotel and some of them some times come to say hello as on the walls!!! But finally i should say i love bali, and bali rani4* they could be improve their hotel to 5* or 4* top. My dear friends don't forget go to underwater dive if you come to bali. If have any questions, im here in bali until October 12.

I have stayed at The Bali Rani about 10 times now and have always enjoyed it. All of my trips have either been with my husband or Mum, however this was our first trip with our 1 year old. Although we had a great time, I wouldn't say it was an ideal family hotel, and next time I will stay else where. Pool is great and the gardens looks lovely, but personally I needed more space for my Son to explore and a kids playground/area. The high chairs/cot are also not great, with no straps/harnesses on the high chairs and not enough mattresses to cot bases. The staff however, were absolutely amazing with him and gave him so much attention. Negatives for me this time- • The mould in the bathroom (deluxe room, 245) was terrible. The whole shower floor was lined with it. • There needs to be an exhaust in the bathroom. • Meals around the pool are no where near as good as previous, and service is VERY slow. These are only minor things and I wouldn't definitely stay here again (as a couple) but I do think these are areas that need looking at.

Went to their Friday night BBQ last night 29th September 2017 the guy at the front showing you to the tables was great the food and service was very disappointing to say the least The food in the warmers was ok but cold with quite a few people waiting for meat to be cooked when we arrived we got a drink when we want to order another and made several gestures for attendance from the waiter that was walking around not doing much he would look right at us and keep walking after about 20 minutes of doing this I yelled at him for the bill was fed up from waiting then the tried to over charge us tried to charge for two bintangs when my husband only had 1 so the took about another 20 mins to fix that up but we should have also got 25%of my cocktail as stated on your black board at the front this never happened by this time I was really fed up we just paid the bill and left I think your staff need to know what discounts you offer and customer service maybe needs to be looked at because at the moment you don't have any

This hotel is in a great location, next to Speedy Mart, Discovery Mall close and Waterbom. Our room was clean and we had great service from Adhirta in the café for breakfast, which was average, they had an egg station, however 3 times when we went to breakfast the cook was no where to be seen and after standing waiting to place an order for about 5 minutes my husband just gave up. On our floor we were placed in the middle of 2 families that left their doors open so their children were running in and out of each others rooms constantly and screaming, I did ask them to keep it down and myself and another guest on our floor both rang reception who immediately knew the room numbers in question and they did speak to them but it didn't really stop them for long. Needless to say I am quite annoyed that they would put us in the middle of people who were obviously holidaying together. There was a rooster that crowed at 4.10am every morning, any other time that would have been fine but with the noisy guests on either side of us it just made it worse. Although we never had a problem getting a sun lounge, I can understand some previous comments re lack of sun lounges, as I found out mid stay that some guests tip the pool attendants who then put towels on lounges for those guests before they come to the pool so they will have a lounge waiting for them. Wifi was not great either, although that could be because we were placed at the back of the hotel. We have stayed at other hotels in Bali ranging 3 star to 4 star, and this one is our least favourite.

The stay at this hotel was very pleasurable. The rooms were luxurious and cosy. People always prefer this hotel for a budget stay and the restaurant of this hotel serves very nice food so overall its a nice package.
