We recently stayed at baliku for 13 nights, our fourth visit here in 2 years. This hotel has very friendly staff who are only too happy to make your visit memorable. The villas are spacious and extremely private, the housekeeping is done on a daily basis and very thorough. A very short stroll and you are on the beautiful Jimbaran beach. Security here is 24 hours a day and very secure. The pool is a good size and very relaxing, many a day spent lazing by the pool with room service of cocktails and cold Bintangs. We can't wait to return here and enjoy another paradise stay. Breakfast is a set menu but we found we could mix it up a bit to our liking. Thankyou to all at Bali Baliku and looking forward to seeing you ALL again soon. Anne and David ~ Australia.
I booked a three bedroom villa for a 5 night stay for my family of 6 (4 children). We arrived to find three completely separate villas. The master was in one section, you had to leave the building and walk about 10m over some grass to another building to find another bedroom. The third bedroom was again separate by having to walk outside and up some stairs. This was completely unacceptable to think a family in a foreign country would want to separate the children to their own quarters. Secondly, the resort advertises two things. One - beachfront. We could not see the beach anywhere. The hotel is located on two busy roads and that's it. There is no beach anywhere near the hotel - you have to walk down a few streets to get there, Two - Luxury - NO WAY. There is mould everywhere in the bathrooms, the whole shower base up at least 600mm is mouldy, dirty bath, vanity that doesn't drain water, fridge leaking water all over the floor, mould all around the toilet area where the hose for bum washing sits, timber blinds in bathroom that don't close. The third bedroom has a grass roof which they had just sprayed poison on to keep the bugs out and it was so toxic in there you couldn't be in there let alone sleep. Also the restaurant looks run down and the food is average at best. We did not stay at this resort for our stay. Please do not be fooled by the pictures and take the reviews seriously if you would like to enjoy a holiday in Bali. We were also told that we would get two nights of the five refunded. After a few hours of negotiation between us, the hotel and flight centre they agreed to a four night refund. Now we are back home they are denying that they ever said this although we have outside witnesses that heard the whole thing also. Very dishonest management.
Really nice place, great staff close to the beach. The chef is good just don't be scared to tell them what you want. Any (her name) on reception speaks good English and is very helpful. You get some noise but nothing we could not deal with. Try to get a room furthest away from the road. We are in room 7 which is overlooked by the hotel next door but is hidden by some trees etc. we were not put off and managed to do all the things we wanted too undisturbed!! They have a free bus to the shopping center (Sogo) in Kuta but you get your own way back. We went to the cellar door of Hatten wines to get some really nice locally made wines. We bought the reserve selection of wines which were a little more expensive but well worth the cost. These guys buy premium Australian grape juice and vinify it in Bali, not a bad drop at all. Tomorrow we plan to try out there spa, going to try the chocolate body scrub, hope they have enough to go around my wine barrel belly!! So far we have no issues with BaliBaliku.
This is a very nice place and you have privacy. The service is wonderful and staff are nice. I love the location because the beach is just across the street and you can watch the sunset while having dinner. Having your own swimming pool is excellent. Love to come back here again .
Every time I go to Bali I wonder why. Because every time Bali proves itself to be a massive let down. This place sadly is no different and in many ways is typical of Bali. I have read the reviews of this place on line and all of the bad things are spot on. The god reviews have me a bit puzzled as I saw none of these things. Airport pickup was there and on time. Arrival at venue is a bit disappointing it’s down a filthy half dug up lane off the main road. The lane gets really busy and large buses and trucks and it’s dangerous to walk out at night, due to traffic. The lobby area is even more disappointing like everything in this place it is old and tatty and run down. Holes in the floor, crumbling steps. Guys welding in the hotel forecourt, litter everywhere. The villa likewise is old and run down, and not the cleanest. There were muddy footprints on the edge of the pol when we arrived they didn’t get cleaned. The pool was regularly full of leaves and twigs and a half-hearted attempt was made each day to take them out. The doors into the villa were warped and rotten and a struggle to close. The air con was OK. The kitchen area was old tired and run down. There were dirty marks on flor which were there from start to end of the stay. (Like the pool stains I tried to remove- they wiped off easily). Bed was horribly soft and was two single mattresses joined together, uncomfortable and moved apart and was too small for the ridiculously high base. Getting in and out of bed was awkward I have the bruises on my shin. The bathroom was shocking. I discovered a broken glass soap bottle in the shower asked for it to be changed, they did- they put it by the bath! This had jagged shards of glass around the top it was dangerous. The towels threadbare and a delightful unwashed colour. Overall a disgraceful accommodation. Breakfast was dreadful, badly cooked garbage, no matter which you chose. No buffet just a choice. Some yogurt and milk and juice left out but not protected and covered in flies. The tables and linen in dining area was filthy and the air-con is non-existent. The staff in there are surly and miserable. The staff in general (aside from one young girl on desk), were curt and smile free and spoke almost no English. As to the genial manager mentioned in reviews not a sign of him. There is no point in complaining to staff who barely speak English. The worst part however is from 11 am until after midnight the whole place is shrouded in smoke. There are 12 or so café places across the street where they burn coconut husks in the open to barbecue, the smoke is horrific. Sometimes you cannot breathe. It permeates the rooms; you can’t sit outside after 11. In case you think yes but imagine that delicious seafood barbecue. Great! If you like cremated grease laden food. We tried two places they were overpriced and abysmal and filthy. A waste of good seafood. Eating the rest of the time was at Le Meridien next door where the staff were at least personable and the food was better, not great just better. We had a massage included, it was amateurish and the two workers (I won’t dignify them as masseurs) were miserable and inattentive. The facility was grubby and worn. We both still have the bruises from the experience. What kind of place does a body scrub after a massage?? All in all – go anywhere else or stay at home!- don’t waste your money this place is a disgrace. By that I mean the Bali Baliku and Jimbaran. I really hope I have learned my lesson and will never be tempted by Bali again!
A balinese-style villa will be what to expect. Spacious room, comfortable bed, clean and big toilet. The swimming pool is cleaner than expected (as read some reviews that the pool has algae?), and the size is decent. There's a good 2nd storey get-together area but with the mosquitoes camping around... we would rather not! Loved the location as being just steps away from the beach and yummy stretch of seafood restaurants. It would be ideal if the hotel could have their own private "umbrella" area at the beach... and to have their own beach bar to make-up the lack of a private beach-front. The current one doesn't feel really private and cramped. It doesn't serve a welcoming vibe. Breakfast is basic just to ensure you don't go out empty-stomach! There are good indonesian eat-outs "warung" nearby, so check with the concierge for recommendations! All in all, a pretty decent resort and suitable for a group of friends/family gathering at a price of below SGD200 a night.
Free honeymoon cake, free honeymoon setup, free airport transfer, we checked out around 12pm and our flight was around 8pm, they let us stay at their beach club and dropped us to the airport at 7pm. Very friendly and helpful staff, 4 hours after checking out they gave us some space to pray in one of their unoccupied guest rooms. If you let them know that you are leaving your room before sunset and coming back after sunset, they will turn on the lights in your room. Reasonable price, breakfast was delicious, very comfortable bed, clean enough room, safe and... The private pool! The pool is not huge but big enough to have fun. We stayed 2 nights for honeymoon and we want to come on every anniversary if possible.
It is the second time I go in this hotel. The villas are still very good, lots of space. The private pool is amazing. Be careful, the " beach front " claim is not 100% true since to reach the beach, you have to leave the hotel and walk 1min. So you do not see the sea from your villa. But the accommodation is so nice that this is a detail. People from the hotel are very helpful whatever the hour of the day or night and always ready to give you advise on Bali island. We rented a scooter for 2 days, went to Ubud with it. If you plan a long road trip like this, tell it to the person who rent the scooter, then he will give you a better one. Only negative point: the breakfast is really not good. Anyway it is included in the room price.. but I advise you to go somewhere else.
The villas are very neat and well equipped, the private pool is very welcome. I would question the phrase "beach front!" given the hotel next door blocks the view and you need to walk 50 meters to a gap in the shops to get to the beach. The breakfasts were quite basic but tasty, at least there are options and they deliver to the room.
We stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed the spacious layout of the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/living area and particularly the outside space. The staff were very friendly and we would like to particularly mention Andi who was on the front desk when we left on Saturday 13th August who was extremely helpful when our transfer to Padang Bai was 2 hours late. Thank you! We wish we had stayed longer and would return if we come to Jimbaran.
