When I read some reviews of this place (and frankly generally) I'm often astounded by the negative. Indonesia without question is wonderful. Remembering that it is a developing country. It isn't perfect. Aroma is like Indonesia generally. It's wonderful but it isn't perfection. Perfection prices they aren't charging!!! If you want to spend $700/night the W is ten mins away! Aroma represents outstanding value for money. I've been to villas for over twenty years and this is definitely one of the best value/quality packages. On the plus side. The villas are huge (much larger than many others I've stayed in). They are well looked after. I ate there most nights (as I was on my own) and the food was excellent. I only ate Asian food and it was excellent quality. Didn't try anything western. The location is often commented on. Yes it is really near the beach. Less than ten mins and that part of Seminyak is very quiet. Still you can walk along the beach and another five be at the W (pretentious over priced but fun) and Potato Head (the place to be seen). The hotel staff are all truly delightful. On the downside the location is not near any decent shops. The Main Street is poor and it is a very long walk to reach any decent shops. Metered taxis are cheap as and the hotel will get you one in a few mins. That way you'll be sure to get one with a meter- and the driver won't try it on (rip offs abound in Bali). Whilst kept clean the villas are slightly shabby in places. Rusted fridge, a microwave that looks ancient. A lick of paint here and there wouldn't go a miss. But frankly nothing of any consequence.
This villa was lovely and big. The room had great aircon. The bathroom was a dream. The kitchen was a little unfinished and the pool had a bit of green mould on the grout. But i loved every second we were here. The breakfast was good and varied and delivered right on time. The staff were super friendly, always down for a chat and hello helping whenever they could. This place felt like a holiday. Close to a lot of shops and cafes and vegan restaurants which we loved. Only a 10min bike ride to the main area and can hire a bike from them. Felt very safe here. Also if u are having a romantic get away order the "special decoration" for $25 US dollars it was a bargain and make a girl or boy very happy. Would recommend!
A great quiet place to stay, which is close to the beach and bars but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Legian. Staff were excellent from the girls in the restaurant to Koman and Agus who went out of their way to help us during our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bali Aroma Exclusive Villas.
We loved the privacy of the villas. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the serenity of the villas after busy Seminyak each day. The beach walk is no longer a short walk due to construction, so get ready for a 15min walk. Hubby loved an early morning swim in our private pool, and it was a perfect temperature for a dip every day. The breakfast was surprisingly high quality. The eggs benedict was good. We had no problem with the outdoor bathroom, kitchen and lounge and understood that with food comes wildlife, hence don't leave ANY food outside. A full sized fridge is part of the kitchen. Buy some mosquito repellent. Loved the geckos visiting each night to eat the insects! The staff never bothered us. They waited until we left each day to clean our villa, and didn't disturb us with unnecessary phone calls or checks. Highly recommend Hog Wild as a good restaurant a short walk from the Villa, and Breeze as a 30min walk along streets and the beach for a beautiful dining experience. Yes the villas are looking a little tired, and need some work, but they suited us perfectly and we were happy and content in our private hideaway.
A slightly strange welcome (and as we left, no goodbye) as we were asked to wait 30 mins until 2pm on the dot to be able to check in. We were also asked to book precisely what we wanted for breakfast the following morning and at what time! The two bedroom Violet Villa was easy to beautify in a photograph, but generally tired and needing some modernisation, or at least more regular attention to upkeep. Maybe we expect too much, but for some it would still be seen as something out if he ordinary and perhaps impressive. The villa pool was chilly, but better than some. The concept of outside bathrooms was no big issue, although appliances clearly weathered. Some may like this rustic style, although actually for us only OK for a few nights. The main pool was much better and well kept. No waiter service despite being next to the restaurant area. All told, better than the villa pool which we didn't end up using. With an outdoor kitchen came local wildlife - not just a few bugs and insects, but a wild cat who destroyed the contents of our fruit bowl two nights on the trot. Glad we didn't see him from the mess we found. Breakfast arrived on time and as ordered - delivered to the villa kitchen hot and tasty in parts. Toast was awful, but Eggs Benedict pretty good. Location-wise, this area is great if you want peace and quiet in Bali. Traveling to the more lively areas of Bali wasn't too tricky, or expensive. It just takes time and we ended up doing this daily using Uber Taxis. The driveway was a little perilous past a lively yapping dog at night and seeming a little off the beaten track 100m or so off the main road. The staff were generally friendly and helpful but nothing to write home about. Didn't see an owner or manager, which we found unusual in this region. Nothing to complain about; this is just our experience, but not as special as the marketing blurb makes it out to be.
Please have second thoughts on your visits to these villas. They are not what you see on there site as in photos. Old, tired, small, and definitely not a 200m walk to the beach, it's about a 15 min walk at least. We asked for our money back and cancelled our family booking. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. Do not recommend at all.
We stayed in Villa Camelia for 2 nights whilst we stayed in Seminyak and it was our favourite place over our two weeks in Bali. The staff were lovely and could not be more helpful and the villa was perfect. The room was big and the outdoor bathroom was great (bugs aside!). The highlight was the private pool which was amazing. We spent most of our time between here and the main resort pool which was excellent. Breakfast was lovely and was brought to the villa at whatever time you asked for it. The villa is about a 10 minute taxi from the centre of Seminyak where all the good bars and restaurants are but this only costs 50,000 IDR at the very maxiumum. Would recommend this villa to anyone who is visiting Seminyak and wants to be slightly outside the main centre.
We have just arrived back from the most perfect two weeks in Bali for our honeymoon. We stayed at Bali Aroma Exclusive Villas for the whole time and absolutely loved it. It is in a great location with beach a 5 minute walk away and plenty of restaurants and bars close by. We stayed in Villa Lantana which was actually a surprise upgrade for us due to it being our honeymoon and it was fab. We loved the bathroom which was partially open, very comfy bed and great private pool, the perfect base for us to go and explore the island and then come back to. Villas are cleaned every day and we couldn't fault the cleanliness at all. The communal pool is also just lovely, very quiet but perfect for a relaxed day if you don't fancy the beach. I have to say the best thing about this place is the people, they are so kind and welcoming and can not do enough for you. Every single person always wants to have a chat to se how you are and see if you need anything, but a special mention has to go to Komang who was just brilliant. He gave us so much advise and told us about places we should visit, our trip wouldn't have been the same without him. Thank you so much to all the staff for everything you did for us and for making our honeymoon so special.
Best place in Bali, very clean and comfortable, great food and amazing staff. Coman will help with everything you want to know, he is the best in any recommendations. Lovely villas and clean pools. The beautiful frangipani threes makes you fill like in paradise. Highly recommend!!!
Words are less to describe this wonderful place !! U got to stay here to see it From the private pool, the sitting area, the staff, the location, the food, the amenities.. Just perfect.... The staff are always with a big smile and any request is always welcomed. The area is really clean and the villa itself is mesmerizing. We stayed in the one bedroom villa and my daughter would not come out of the pool (with her favourite water unty by the pool )...the statue pouring water The sitting area is big and makes u feel ur at home The food is truly balinese and we never felt the need to eat outside since the price is very reasonable Truly value for money...
