As always with the Amadea, the staff are the asset, they are excellent, from the airport pick up through, they are what makes this hotel. The hotel is starting to show it's age, it does need an some updating in areas and in some respects the bathrooms need a very deep clean. Pool terrace room was a good size, all the normal amenities, the guys cleaning the room was excellent - thank you for the huge towel dragon. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart and close to some really good resturants. The hotels restaurant Bistro Batu Kali, the whole ambiance and service has really dropped, the whole space of the bistro needs a good clean, broken fans replaced and at the buffet, cupboard doors and cutlery draws need repairs as they were falling off, not a great look, the morning staff were very miserable, we only ate in for breakfast and it was borderline average, in saying that we did get room service by the pool a few times and could not complain, the staff later in the day delivering the food were very friendly and happy.

Stayed 28th to 31st March 2018 At check-in, receptionist saw how hot and bothered we were and without hesitation offered cold drinks. Although not top-of-the end modern, room was very comfortable, and kept pleasantly clean. The warm hospitality by the staff was felt right from the security post, until we got to our room. Everyone greets you! The only other resort we experienced this was when we stay a few times at a high end resort in Uluwatu. And to top it all, the staff took notice of my birth date and sprang a lovely surprise! The major drawback is the breakfast spread. It was quite basic and the coffee watered down, unlike the coffee Bali is famous for. This place has the STELLAR location. Once we got out of the hotel, it's a paradise of cafes, drinking holes, restaurants and boutiques. On the whole, Amadea made our stay so wonderfully pleasant!

I was so glad to be staying at Amadea on my first visit to Bali. I am sure to be staying here every single time I visit Bali. The location is probably the best location you can live in, in all of Seminyak. The hotel is located on the same street as the must go to bars, restaurants and Seminyak Square it self. Ku De Ta is a 5-7 minute walk away and Potato Head is about 15 minutes on foot. There is a plethora of taxis available at the doorstep. The rooms are standard and the sleep quality was very good. The staff is always smiling and always ready to help. Tita at the reception must be specially mentioned for the quick check-in process (even when I had reached earlier than the designated time). She was indeed very helpful. Jenny, Angky & Dana were warm and hospitable as well. The breakfast is average, and the spread decent. There was water leaking from the air conditioner in my room and the issue was addressed within minutes of my complaining and it remained fine. They even offered to wash my clothes (that had gotten wet) free of charge. Kudos to the whole staff and management.

I decided to return to the Amadea after a couple of trips here with my family over the past five years. I had never had any issues with the resort and thought it was an ideal spot to holiday with my boyfriend. Let’s start with the positives: the location is excellent, right on Eat Street and walking distance from some of the best restaurants in Seminyak including Chandi, Ginger Moon, Batik, Bistrot, MamaSan, Sea Circus, Kim Soo, Motel Mexicola, La Lucciola, Rumors, The Junction and Seminyak Square. We booked the Deluxe Pool Terrace Room and they were spacious with large bathrooms. The staff were generally friendly and polite at welcoming you and making small talk around the pool with you. The cleaners constructed nice origami animals with the towels on your bed. The ambience of the hotel is nice. It’s quiet as it’s set far back from the main road. Upon arrival when we checked in we requested a late check-out as our flight home didn’t leave until the late evening and we wanted to keep our room until 4.30pm. The girl processing our check in informed us that since we were staying for a long time (9 nights), we could opt for late checkout at no extra cost except possibly changing rooms. We were very pleased with this option and she said she would contact us the day before we left to confirm whether we would need to switch rooms. During our stay there were a few things amiss. At one point a cleaner walked into our room at 9am completely unannounced while my partner and I were in bed. We did not have the “clean room” sign on our door and our curtains were closed. There is absolutely NO reason why cleaners should be walking into patrons bedrooms without reason and without a “clean room” sign on the door. What an invasion of privacy. We also received a random call at 7am whilst asleep. When we picked up there was no one there, as if it was a scheduled wake up call. We never requested this. The WiFi left much to be desired. I only got decent reception and internet speed in a few specific locations around the pool and in our room. On previous stays with my family the staff would always offer golf cart buggy rides from the deluxe rooms to front reception. This rarely happened during this stay despite the carts being parked and unused in front reception. Even on boiling hot days when carrying heaps of shopping or in heavy rain it was a rarity that somebody offered us a lift which was disappointing. That had always been a perk of staying at the Amadea and a sign of good customer service. The breakfast was uninspired and my boyfriend and I opted to eat at restaurants along the street many mornings. The breakfast didn’t start until 7am which is inconvenient for people with early flights or who have booked day trips with early pick up times. The pathways around the pool are horribly slippery and inappropriate. Every day I witnessed somebody face planting by the pool as when the smooth concrete was splashed it became unusually dangerous. My partner and I slipped over a few times as well despite wearing sensible footwear and being young/fit. It’s a matter of time before an older person falls and injures themselves. The grouting around the shower was dirty and mouldy. The day before we checked out the hotel failed to contact us, so on our way back from dinner I stopped past reception to inquire. The lady on reception tried to tell us we needed to pay RP 600,000 ($60) for a late checkout of 4 hours, and would need to move to another room. I politely explained the promise made to us upon check in and she talked in Indonesian to the man on check in and said the rule had changed and we needed to pay $60 or would be effectively homeless until we headed to the airport. As I travel with medication that needs to be kept refrigerated we didn’t have an option and had to sign a bill for 600,000 at which point the lady informed us rather rudely that if we weren’t packed up by 12pm we would be charged double. Thankfully when we returned to our room, another man called the room and admitted the hotel had made a mistake and our late check-out for free would be honored however we would need to change rooms. Interesting that this wasn’t the case when we were speaking face to face with the receptionist. So the next day we packed up and at 11am we moved to another ground floor room on the other side of the resort. The second we walked in I started choking. The entire room completely REEKED of cigarette smoke. The room was still hazy and everything was soaked in cigarette scent. I have Cystic Fibrosis (a serious life threatening genetic condition affecting my lungs) and immediately felt tight and wheezy similar to having an asthma attack. It is my understanding based on your website that all rooms are non-smoking. The fact that your hotel wished to charge us $60 for a 4hr stay when I am sure they didn’t charge the family in the room before us for smoking in the room is disgusting and simply unacceptable. I couldn’t go into the room without having a coughing attack. We enquired at reception and they had a young guy spray the room with air freshener which then made the room smell like lemon scented cigarette smoke. We didn’t even end up spending time in the room as neither of us could breathe. This is disgusting that you allow customers into rooms that are of such unlivable condition. We ended up booking our own private driver to transport us to the airport in the evening as we had completely given up on using the hotel services. My family had planned on booking a few rooms at the Amadea over Christmas however we will now be looking for alternative accommodation over Christmas in Seminyak.

We stayed four nights at Amadea, it's clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. We upgraded to a pool view room. Which was located in the second pool area. The room was good a nice big bed, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities but no milk or teaspoons to stir the tea and coffee with. However the staff were on hand to provide us with these. The only downside was that the staff didn't tell us that there was construction going on next door. Which meant that we were woken very early everyday. We would not have taken the room had we known this was the case. The bathroom was a good size. Don't bother with the breakfast as we found it very poor quality and not a lot of variety. We ended up going to local cafes. The Amadea is reasonably priced, so great if you are on a budget. Just check where your room is situated whilst the construction next door is happening.

We wanted to explore the different areas of Bali during our honeymoon and came to stay in Amadea to explore Seminyak after our stay in Nusa Dua. First, the location. The Amadea Resort is centrally located where there are countless shops and a variety of resturants of your choosing in quick walking distance. It's a 5 minute walk to Seminyak Square and a 15 minute walk to the beach. We arrived at the hotel by taxi on Friday at around 12:30 pm. The streets were busy and bustling with people exploring shops and eateries. The taxi pulled in behind Bistro Bali Kali, the hotel resturant, and dropped us off in front of the welcome desk. We were then shuttled by golf cart into the resort to the main lobby. The resturant is on the main street and the villas and rooms a quick walk or golf cart ride away so you don't have to worry about the noise on the street. Check in was at 2pm so we left our luggage with the hotel to grab lunch and explore the area. The checkin service was quick and we were provided with cold water, breakfast vouchers for the morning, and a discount voucher for their spa. After lunch we came back to the lobby by golf cart for checkin and were taken to our roof top suite which over looks the pool. Unfortunately, there are no elevators or lift so you have to take some stairs to get to the 3rd level. It wasn't an issue for us but may be a concern for others. We loved the private area on the roof with a day bed and lounge chairs as well as the private villa feel. Initially we were concerned about the temperature and about bugs bc there was a bug net above our bed, but the two AC units inside our villa kept it nice and cool and we didn't see or have any issues with bugs. The villa has a large bathroom with tub and rain shower that I was excited about but it's not sealed and has small uncovered openings which allows bugs and the heat to come through (as you'll see in the photo). However, this didn't affect the living and bedroom quarters as we kept the bathroom door closed but it was a bit humid and hot when we went into use the toilet. There was free wifi which was a little slow as well as all other ammedities such as toiletries and waters in the room free of charge. I did have to pay a dollar a minute to make a local call with the hotel phone which I was a little surprised by but no big concern. The breakfast spread was good at the Bistro Bali Kali with both Balinese and American cuisine which included an egg station. Overall the accomdations, service, food, and best off all the central location will have us coming back next time we're in Seminyak.

We visited after a recommendation from a friend. A great hotel in a perfect location on eat street but set back to remain nice and quiet. The staff are excellent, polite, always helpful and smiling. They obviously like working at Amadea and it shows. Could not fault service and overall cleanliness. We will certainly return for another visit and it will be the only choice for us in Seminyak. The food is not outstanding but being on eat street it doesn't matter. You eat out every night anyway. The buggies to and from eat street to the hotel are convenient and you never wait more than a couple of minutes. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it. Pool area is peaceful and beautiful with frangipani trees giving shade over some areas. loved it.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff made the stay special, they were always friendly and helpful. Location is on a busy road with lots of great restaurants but is down a long driveway so you don't get all the noise. Breakfast was good, has everything you need and coffee was deliciously strong! Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Seminyak.

We stayed at the Amadea for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip and it was just lovely. The rooms and surroundings were great and all the team were so happy and friendly all the time. My daughter was gifted a beautiful cake for her birthday from the Amadea team which was a lovely touch. The spa ladies were also a delight! Overall, I really enjoyed staying here, the surroundings and the staff really make you feel happy.

Very clean and super friendly staff. Nice place to get back after busy and slightly dirty Semyniak. Very good price for service and hotel I would definitely recommend. The only down side were the restaurant, not so great breakfast. But there is plenty other restaurants around it in few min walk so no need to eat there.
