We had the privilege of staying for 10 nights in a 4 bedroom villa on the awe inspiring cliff face! We comprised 2 adults & 2 children, plus a local live in nanny. Our butler was the lovely Dewa, both Putu & Dewa were incredible with the children, taking care of them when we needed time out. Both were arranged directly via the Alila. I cannot fault this luxury property at all, the decor is natural earth tones, blending harmoniously in with the cliff face offering sweeping uninterrupted views of the ocean. And Eco luxury all round. We had our own lap pool, and full kitchen facilities, driver & car. Needless to say we didn't leave our villa much ; ) The hotel facilities were terrific, with pool & several restaurant options available. Sadly being so remote, there are not too many other restaurant options outside of the hotel for kids. But we ate in villa a lot so wasn't too much of an issue. The staff were all very friendly in traditional warming Balinese style. And when we had sickness the hotel promptly organised there doctor on sight visits which was comforting with kids. The only minor concern we had was a communication block when requesting food for dietary requirements, posed a little challenging for the Balinese. But all good. This hotel is traditionally a couple property, which we loved being so exclusive, 10 days may have been a tad too long, but we loved it nonetheless having our own private compound, and will visit again in the future with a split of Ulluwatu & Seminyak. Big Thanks to our Alila family we miss you : )
Just recently had our wedding at All Villas Uluwatu and it was simply amazing! The property itself is stunning, the views are gorgeous as are the rooms (inside and out), staff was fantastic and food/drinks were delicious. Can't say enough about this beautiful venue & paradise in Uluwatu, Bali!!
My husband and I stayed here for my birthday and it was the perfect weekend getaway. Service was spot-on. The Warung restaurant especially was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised that the prices weren't astronomical given the kind of place this is. The views and ambiance are out of this world. Definitely recommend for a weekend getaway.
My friends were having their wedding in this hotel in July so they invited all their friends and family, I stayed in the same villa with my friends in villa C3 for one night then the next day my boyfriend and I moved to a one bedroom villa (114). There were 2 bulter in C3 and they were so amazing ! I have to give a big thank you to Adhi and Keda (not sure how to spell the name but I am sure the hotel will find out who I am talking about), their service was beyond expectations, the hotel should see them as an asset and should be proud to have someone like this to work for them. The villa was so spacious and clean !!! I cannot complaint about anything during my stay, every single one of the staff were so nice and always greet their guest with a friendly smile...the wedding was amazing...the hotel staff can set up the venue so fast and all the decoration just amaze me so much !!! IT WAS THE BEST WEDDING I HAVE EVER BEEN TO ! Thank you so much for giving my friend such an amazing wedding and thank you so much for giving all of us good times :) We will def stay in this villa resort again !!! NO DOUBT !!!
The staff have refined their customer service excellence to the point where they are unobtrusive, inconspicuous but always on hand to help with anything, and are proactive with their offers of direction, buggies etc. Staff showed a genuine interest, with polite discussion and answers to our questions. The property architecture was stunning and in opposition to my preference of lush & cosy but it was absolutely beautiful with every detail cared for. The villas were beautifully appointed with indoor & outdoor showers - massive bathroom, great space for living and wonderful outdoor area with daybed and gorgeous pool.
This was our second time at an Alila property. We had previously stayed at Alila Hadahaa in the Maldives (which is sadly no more). So knowing that Alila is a top-notch resort, we booked Uluwatu for our first time in Bali. Alila Uluwatu is probably one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at - and we have been lucky to stay at a lot of top 5-star resorts all over the world. The service, the staff, the food are all world class. The day we checked in happened to be my birthday and the staff was kind enough to surprise me with a box of chocolates and a birthday card - even though we had not told them about my birthday at all. So kudos for the attention to detail there. Did I mention the food? Its simply amazing! For what you pay, the rooms are amazing and huge. We didnt want to leave! Alila has a lot of properties in Bali but if you want to be closer to the beach yet far away from everything, this is the one to choose.
One of the best places I've ever stayed. The pictures on the website are a bit misleading (they were to me). The villas do not overlook the ocean/water. However, the setup is nothing short of amazing. The rooms are beautiful. You can open the floor to ceiling windows to allow the breeze to flow from your private cabana, across the private pool, over the seating space, and into the bed. They are positioned such that you have ample sunshine for private sunbathing. And if you do want to go to the resort pool, you can enjoy an infinity pool that allows you to lean against the edge and overlook a secluded part of the sea that sits 100m below! The spa is top notch. Very relaxing, warm, and friendly environment. Excellent massage. Privacy, security, etc. Whatever you want. Very friendly staff. Lots of food options. Spread out resort with simple paths that provide ample short-cuts for those times when the scenic walk isn't going to work. Also they have a people in golf carts to pick you up if you want. The resort is off the beaten path, so be prepared to setup drivers of pickups for excursions if you want off the resort. Also, the traffics is a bit unpredictable in Bali, though embrace it as part of the adventure. Go surf, eat some amazing food, and enjoy the services here. It's worth every penny! I would stay at this place over and again.
We have spent the last four days of our honeymoon at Alila Villas Uluwatu and therefore had very high expectations since it should have been the highlight of our honeymoon. We were not disappointed! Upon arrival we were greeted by the EAM, Janine. Janine was extraordinary warm-hearted and immediately made us feel welcome. She was very helpful throughout our entire stay, thanks again dear Janine! We were so fortunate to stay in a three-bedroom Villa, which exceeded all our expectations! The villa comprises more than 2'500 square meter (not feet!) with three bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen (not kitchenette), private infinity pool and sensational seaview from all rooms. We even had our own spa-room with private treadmill! The breakfast was delivered to the villa every morning free of charge. The hotel's common areas (pool area with infinity pool, three restaurants which serve balinese, western and fine dining dishes, lobby) are immaculately maintained with spectacular, luxurious design and seaview. The spa area is also at five star level and worth a visit (or two or three...). We have stayed in many five stars resorts all over the world and therefore can confirm with certainty: Alila Villas Uluwatu most probably is the best hotel in Bali and one of the best hotels in North-East-Asia! Maybe the best part of our stay was our private butler (not only a butler, but at the end more a friend) which was at our side whenever needed, Mr. Dewa. Special thanks to you, Dewa! We hope you will be awarded employee of the month, you would deserve it big times!
Alila Villas is one of the Top 100 Villas in the World. It is a little out of the way in Uluwatu, but OMG it is in a stunning location. The views from reception are mind blowing. Endless pools of water surrounded by timber viewing structures with fabulous views out to the ocean & ever rolling waves on a brilliant blue-sky day. We were awestruck! The timber canoe shaped bar in one of the viewing platforms looked fabulous. There weren't many people there the day we visited, which made it all the more serene & spectacular. We had THE most amazing lunch ever. We had the Chefs Choice for 3 people & ate the most amazingly delicious Balinese food ever. The presentation was wonderful. Then, the most spectacular dessert arrived. It was a semi sweet version of a field mushroom growing in the wild. When they poured the secret liquid onto the platter, smoke appeared from under the mushroom & wafted around for ages. Very Heston Blumenthalish!. It was absolutely stunning to watch & delicious to eat. Three more tables instantly ordered them! The cocktails were delicious, the views were endless & beautiful, the day was sublime. Thank you Chef for such an extraordinary experience.
The hotel is just extraordinary! During our stay, my wife and I were extremely well-treated, but I must mention that the services provided by the butler (Mr Kadek) proved to be a greater thing in what was already perfect. There was simply nothing impossible or complicated for him. I just needed to mention a wish or request near to Mr. Kadek, that he was already there, in charge of arranging it in the best conceivable way. He was so generous and helpful that we have him as a true friend from that trip on. Not to mention that he was responsible for making me realize a dream of experiencing the true Balinese street food. I can only congratulate the Alila Villas Uluwatu for providing its guests, a staff so well trained and prepared! During our honeymoon trip, we stayed in 4 more hotels (Four Seasons at Ubud, Marina Bay Sands, Huvafen Fushi and Four Seasons at Jumeirah beach), which although they are high standard establishments, in none of them we found someone as Mr. Kadek. After all this amazing treatment, my wife's sister, who had a reservation at another hotel in Uluwatu, for this month, had no doubts about canceling this reservation and making a new one at Alila Villas, also requesting Mr Kadek's services. Thank you all very much!
