Such an amazing view! We went to Warung for lunch. The view is fantastic.on the lunch table, there is body lotion from alila, free to use. Sevcice is nice but food was just average. Overall , it is worth visiting for the beautiful sun cabana. Love it.
My wife and I were lucky enough to stay here recently. This was our first stop after a long flight from LA via Hong Kong. We then went onto another island later. Villas Uluwatu got us off to the perfect start for our trip. All the staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much effort. Our room butler was especially attentive without being intrusive. The food was fantastic. The location atop the cliff was spectacular and our room was everything we could hope for and was hard to leave.
A massive thank you to all the staff at Alila Villas Uluwatu, from Maya who checked us in, to those who attended to us at the poolside and The Warung, to the buggy drivers and the hotel driver who drove us back and forth to OMNIA. We are especially thankful for accommodating to our special request which made our stay even more memorable. The villa is nothing short of what you would expect of the Alila brand, while the rest of the property was picturesque and tranquil, especially the infinity pool with the awesome view. Needless to say, food at The Cire and The Warung were delicious.
The symmetry is what first strikes you, then the wow factor of the views all captured and framed to emphasis the amazing horizon and the sea. The architecture frames another world that grows on you complimented by the constantly friendly, constantly fresh and welcoming staff. We had a villa on the 4th level with a wonderfully private skinny dipping pool, a vast, uncluttered and modern light filled apartment that were enhanced by textures and batiks. Food in the Warung consistently also lived up to the highest standards - as my partner is a vegetarian, the kitchen was more than able to meet the challenge. All in all a lovely, peaceful retreat - far from the maddening crowd and bustle of Bali.
A fantastic location and very, very attentive and lovely service by all the staff. Exceptionally relaxing and serene. Food is also quite good! The whole experience would be just that much better if there were more attention to the kind of details expected at these prices: weeds in the landscaping, especially on the edge facing the ocean, mildew in the outdoor shower, nicks on the woodwork that can be oiled or touched up, also outdoor wood siding in the outdoor shower and in the private pool area is very dry and weathered--oil or refinishing of some kind needed. And the big heavy sliding panels need some oil to slide more easily--I don't think the monkeys would be able to open them even if they were easier for humans! Lastly, the check-in person was very negative about the steps to the beach and also totally wrong about the timing of high and low tides. We are fit 60 somethings and walked up in 15 minutes. It's a lovely and very private beach--the lava rock in the water makes swimming impossible but great wading and sunning, Oh, one last suggestion: have some staff go down there about once a week to gather the detritus that washes up. I took a plastic bagful out each day, but it would be a great service to your guests!
I really enjoyed being at alila. Its calm, beautiful and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and the architecture is amazing. Very well designed hotel. I loved every day there and would certainly go back. The food is great, the staff is great. The rooms are perfect. There is nothing I didnt like about this hotel. It is a definite must do! I didnt enjoy site seeing in Bali as it's a bit too messy for my liking so next time I go il just stay in and relax and go to omnia next door which was also amazing. It's the perfect day bar. I'm a 5 star traveler of note and I give this place a very big thumbs up! Keep up the great service and I look forward to returning with my husband.
I rarely write reviews but had such an amazing stay at Alila Villas Uluwatu that I feel compelled to write one. The hotel is absolutely stunning from a design perspective. The whole place has a feeling of calmness and serenity. The staff were beyond amazing and genuinely smiled in every interaction I had with them. Special mention to Ari who looked after us. The hotel is also extremely romantic and perfect for couples. My girlfriend absolutely loved it. I will 100% be returning and I consider this the best hotel in Bali (I have stayed at quite a few around the island). Thank you Marco, Janine and the entire team! You are doing an amazing job
Simply one of the best destination resorts I've ever stayed at. Stunning location and facilities with impeccable design. Staff was highly trained and extremely friendly. Would highly recommend to others.
this is one of my best experience so far. If you are considering between Aman and Alila when you go to Bali, let go with Alila. Aman service is excellent but Alila Uluwatu is even better. 1. fantastic ocean view over the clip 2. unique experience with the highest and the most dedicated personalise service. We had very pleasant experience with our host, Manu. he is very nice!. Staff are very friendly and politeness. 3. a minimalist but beautiful design resort. wonderful infinitive pool! 5. located in a very quiet area, avoid from noisy and touristic Seminyak area. so if you like a fun night life, don't choose this resort. it is for relax, romantice and re treatment, style 4. Food at the resort is however just above average. however, feel free to contact staff for recommendation, there is an italian restaurant near by that definitely you should try. Expensive but very good food. 5. you should book a small boat to see the sunset. Sunset in Bali is amazing! 6. unless you definitely need 3 bedroom villa. otherwise just book for a 2 bedroom villa, there is a large chance you will be upgraded to 3-bedroom.
I've tried both four seasons hotel in Bali and this hotel. This is a fairly new hotel. Rooms are really nice and apart enough to feel secluded. We've had systematic glitches in service that shows that Alila can't train their staff properly. But still the staff is friendly and the experience is globally great. We loved climbing down the stairs and spend time alone on the beach. It was beautiful. Food and breakfast were really good, at least compared to four seasons jimbaran.
