the staff was really helpful and nice all the time. the venue is beautiful, clean and safe. all the activities have been perfectly organized, the transport always worked on time and the staff and guides were perfect. we were the 19 peolpe group formed by 4 families with kids aged between 9 and 17 y/o (Villas del Mundo group).
The hotel is located in a very beautiful area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. I loved the smoothies! Also we had dinner one night and it was also very very delicious. The pool was so big. The staff was so good and friendly. I highly recommend.
Had a great time at this villa. Very warm hospitality. Hemal and Yuni makes my stay unforgettable by getting me babi guling at the night market. Service with a heart. Everyone is very warm and nice which makes the stay so at home. Hospitality at its best!
Definitely recommend Alila Ubud as a go to resort. Beautiful location with amazing facilities and the staff are incredible. Great customer service and we recieved a very friendly reception. Food here is incredible and the breakfast was great. Beautiful views as well. Cannot fault the hotel
Just want to thank all the staff at Alila Ubud, particularly Mr Adel & Mr Artika for being so kind and accommodating. We will be back. Many thanks again. Also, their swimming pool with the view was amazing.
This was my third stay at this hotel. Yes the rooms and bathrooms could do with a bit of a facelift however the unique setting and fabulous staff more than make up for this. Sitting by the pool admiring the scenery is blissful. Breakfast is a treat, the menu is changed daily and each dish delicious and well presented. The Spa is wonderful too a haven of calm. We look forward to our next stay
I loved the staff, well trained and super helpfull. The superior room is a nice clean room. All you need is provided. It is nog a new room but it is cozy for a couple of nights. The swimming pool is lovely, i had a great rest at the pool.
My first time in Ubud and it was just awesome. Loved every bit of my stay right from the pick up at the airport, the checkin service, the spa amenities and the food which was simply delicious. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The property is a little outside the town and is extremely green and luscious. Perfect for a calm and quite experience. My massage at the spa was unforgettable. Special thanks to Dorimi (the masseuse, hope I got her name right). The breakfast options were also excellent. The room was comfortable. Missed a bath tub though. Highly recommend it and would love to come back any day.
The hotel is in a quiet outstandingly beautiful area in Bali. We stayed in room 201 which has a lovely view of the splendid infinity pool and over the forest valley and hills. However, our room, though classed superior, was rather cramped with very limited shelving for clothes and the bathroom was dated with no towel rails, only one small hook for all the towels! The toilet seat was cheap plastic. If you have mobility issues then this hotel is best avoided, over 70 steep steps from reception past restaurant and bar to the pool. Beware, there are no hand rails on steps nor into the pool and there is no lift. Twice we witnessed guests slipping over on the marble bar floor. Meals were tasty but overly expensive, no alternative restaurants nearby unless one took a taxi into Ubud about 20 minutes away. The hotel runs a shuttle bus into Ubud 3 times during daylight hours which is popular. The hotel had both positive and negative features so we rated the accommodation no more than 3* and the view 5*. Staff were all excellent, kind and helpful.
We stayed here for two nights in the week prior to Christmas and wished we'd stayed longer. Let's get one thing straight - if your idea of 5 star luxury is polished marble, crystal chandeliers and a piano bar, this is definitely NOT for you. If, however, you want to be close to nature - the rain forest views are incredible and there are frequent visits from monkeys, frogs, lizards etc - and appreciate great food, friendly, attentive service and a stunning swimming pool, this is about as near to near to perfection as you can get. The 'a la carte' Balinese breakfasts included were simply the best hotel breakfasts I have had anywhere - plentiful, imaginative and delicious, and a direct contrast to the mediocre 100+ item buffets you get in most fancy hotels. The Barong dance meal was absolutely superb too, albeit relatively pricey by Bali standards. We booked the "adrenaline for breakfast" cycling tour for the whole family. Once you get over the 6am start, you are rewarded with a light breakfast and a guided gentle downhill meander through the centre of the island, taking in stunning views of volcanoes (including Agung), fruit and coffee plantations, temples and rice terraces. On arriving back at the hotel, a full breakfast is served. We highly recommended the tour. We would also like to thank the hotel staff for treating us so well, and specifically for remembering at every mealtime that one of our party has a peanut allergy and ensuring that there were no nuts in anything he ate! A wonderful and memorable stay!
