Had booked the hotel for 2 nights. Had great fun. Hotel offers you a spectacular view on a hill top facing sea. Though its more of a wedding / party place for the locals here. Food is also great at the hotel. Staff is also quite nice & polite to talk to. Please make sure hotel to arrange the taxi/ cab through them as it will be a cheaper option rather to get it on your own. Ciao!
We stayed 2 days and there were 4 confirmations and 2 weddings. I asked and was told this is typical. We were limited to what areas of the hotel we could even enjoy, including being banned from the restaurant and offered a limited cold food menu. Any other restaurants are a good distance away (and a very steep climb to return to the hotel afterwards). Yet we did it and found the other areas of town to be much better than this hotel. You sit down to enjoy the view, as a hotel guest should be able to do, and you will be shooed away because one of the many events nearby takes precedence. It is a very awkward and uncomfortable situation. Don't be fooled by the online marketing. This hotel is beautiful but exists primarily to host events. Guests are an afterthought...service is non existent and guests are treated as nuances. There is no private beach nor pool amenities (although there IS a pool, you will be required that wear a bathing cap). There are only 25 guest rooms. I am a seasoned traveler and have been in 8 hotels in the last 17 days and while this one was beautiful, it was the worst experience. Simply uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Very Odd. Strongly suggest you stay elsewhere.
Stayed here for four nights because we were attending a formal dinner/dance at the hotel: we had booked initially in Naples proper but changed our minds after looking at the map and deciding that it would be better to base ourselves at the hotel where the event would take place. We were very pleased with this decision. The location is very good, with sweeping views in most directions, and a welcoming ambiance. The restaurant was nearly empty at lunchtime but the food and service were good. The formal dinner was excellent in both quality and quantity of food, and service; and the venue, particularly on a mild spring evening, quite grand. The waiter who served our table at dinner remembered the next day at lunch that one of our party is gluten-free, which was quite impressive. Staff at reception, bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Because the hotel was fully booked by the time we decided to stay there, we had a room in the separate residence building, about a 2-min walk away. This turned out well, because it was quiet and we had a small kitchen that came in handy during our stay. We did have to go to the main building for wifi access, but that was not necessarily a bad thing. The pool was not yet open but looks good for use in the season. The hotel is a the top of a hill and reached by a narrow and winding road that may be a bit intimidating for drivers who are used to wider less inclined roads. It is quite a hike down to the town of Bacoli, whether along the road or along a pedestrian trail (we didn't follow it all the way down, but it appears to lead all the way down to the town), so the car came in handy for local trips and shopping. All in all we were very satisfied with this hotel and we hope to return one day.
We have just returned from a 4 night stay at cala moresca with our 9 month old baby. This is not the place to stay if you want a good night's sleep. The music from the daily weddings vibrated the floor of our room until around midnight every night. The hotels reception and restaurants are to a very high standard - shame the hotel rooms are not. The road to the hotel is extremely dangerous and I would not advise walking down the very steep hill to town especially with a pushchair! The staff are friendly and the views are fantastic but other than that I would avoid.
A beautiful, clean restaurant famous for the spectacular view. The food is good, just as any other restaurant of the area, however Cala Moresca is is must go to have lunch or dinner to see this unbelievable scenery across from restaurant that probably took nature hundreds of years to create. We were at Cala Moresca for our Easter 2017 family meal. Friendly staff and good service. We did not stay at hotel, but I would consider for next trip.
A lovely place, quiet and up to date hotel. By car you need approx 45 minutes from the airport, pending traffic...even more. By the way you need navigation. The hotel is situated on a nice peak in a peninsula, with a wonderful view. The rooms vary from very small to larger and the superior rooms has a nice veranda. The smaller rooms are a bit claustrophobic but all in all no worries. All rooms comes with ac, fridge and a safe. You will survive. Maintenance appears to be good and the rooms are well kept and clean. The area is regarded as safe and secure. The restaurant is up to speed, if it is not in the menu the chef will arrange it. Continental breakfast well not really, a bit more suitable for an Italian "sweet tooth I dare state". The staff is very helpful and eager to assist. Down hill within a 10 min walk you will find small shops and beach clubs and nice restaurants. So if you are not keen on staying downtown, get out there and enjoy a true hospitality and chilled out location. Sendt fra min iPad
Amazing place , amazing people , 4th visit and each time it gets better , looking forward to 2017 to go back again to our Italian paradise , thank you Vivian ,Salvatore and all the staff for your special welcome as always and the new restaurant is amazing . Mark and Sam Danniells
The hotel was OK but certainly not what we were expecting. I have stayed in better 3 star hotels ! The restaurant was lovely and the staff very helpful, however mixed feelings about reception it just seemed as though they were too busy to help or give any advice on the area. We got stopped walking back into the hotel after a walk out and at times we felt uncomfortable not knowing where we could sit and drink. We booked a sea view room and this was the view .......
Exceptional location an exceptional village. Wonderful view on the Mediterranean Sea, the islands and the two lakes surrounding Cape Miseno. The ancient Roman influence still present and rich. Cuma ruins, the Solfatara (sulfur wells) and Pozzuoli Acropolis are the most fascinating to visit. Top food, traditional and delicious: spaghetti, pizza and fish. Beautiful comfortable hotel with a great view. Great breakfast. Very good restaurant. Nice clean room. Very reliable kind service. To be repeated.
This hotel has the most glorious location perched high up overlooking the Bay of Naples. However, what is not mentioned is that from May to October there is a wedding reception almost every day. Admittedly we didn't experience too many problems with late night noise but we did experience being asked to leave the main bar because there was a private party booked in. Really this hotel should stick to doing weddings only and not advertise itself as a regular hotel except outside of the wedding season. Rooms are small but comfortable and the restaurant is average. The breakfast buffet was quite good. There is plenty of parking but this quickly fills up when there is a wedding. The approach road is extremely steep and narrow.
