General manager was flat out rude and disrespectful. A shame as the hotel is decent but good luck with customer service.

The place is old. My room had a smell and felt cramped. Other than that, service was friendly, the room was clean, and breakfast met expectations. I liked making Texas-shaped waffles and eating them fresh off the griddle. The place is across I-35 from downtown. Good value overall.

Hotel was clean and no frills. Staff friendly and helpful city guides. I loved being able to walk to downtown for museums and social area and the University.

While the motel itself was nice in quality (for a motel), my stay was one of the worst in my life due to how unbelievably rude the manager/supervisor on duty was to me. Smita brought customer service in the hotel industry to a new low when she screamed at me over the phone. At checkout time at noon when housekeeping knocked on my door, I followed their advice and called the front desk to ask for a late checkout. Smita explained they would automatically charge my card $30, which I politely thanked her for and confirmed she could use the card on file. Housekeeping then came knocking on my door again shortly afterwards confused that I was still in the room even though I already agreed to pay the $30. Just after 2:00pm the room phone rang and I pick up to Smita almost yelling "Why have you not come to the front desk to check out? It's after 2:00pm!" To which I replied "You explained you would charge my card automatically. I'll be out of the room within the hour." She then started to full on scream at me that late checkout was 2:00pm and that I had to leave immediately. I calmly and politely explained she never told me the new deadline was 2:00pm and that I'd pack and get dressed as quickly as I could, apologizing for the delay and that it'd take me about 15 minutes. She then shrieked "That's not good enough!!! You must leave NOW!" I travel frequently for work and personal vacations, and never in my life have I been yelled at by a hotel or motel employee let alone a manage

Good for a night. The room is pretty bare and feels like a dormitory, but quiet and felt pretty safe.

It was alright. The room needed to be cleaned; because, there were shoe prints on the floor. The bed comforter had stains on them. The comfort was excellent - liked the pillows.

I liked that the floors weren't carpet. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only negative was the outer wall was thin so you could hear people outside.

It was fairly quiet being so close to the highway and the stairs. The room smelled kind of musty and the door to the room had quite a noticeable gap under it. The bathroom door was difficult to shut/open (it stuck), and the bathroom itself was dingy. But we didn't die, so that's a plus.

Good place to stay when you need an affordable spot in downtown Austin. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go downtown as well as the hot spots on the east side of town. I took the bus from the airport and walked the rest of the way to the hotel. Very helpful front desk staff.

I was there for SXSW and price good for that time where all hotel super expensive and it was clean and quiet!

This simple, budget motel was perfect for what I needed while making a business trip. I often stay in this chain, and am invariably satisfied.

Room was clean but a little outdated. The area around the hotel was a little rough. Staff was friendly.

If you're looking for a great location within walking distance to downtown and don't mind the "cheap motel" feel, this will do just fine.

Great location that's right near downtown Austin. The beds were uncomfortable but the location made up for it.

While the room was clean, there were noticable spiders crawling on the ceiling, the bathroom wall, and the wall behind one of the beds. I was concerned because I had my daugher, grandson and 3 month old granddaughter with me. I bought bug spray from the nearby CVS and sprayed the areas where the spiders were. The Wi-Fi did not work, so a project I wanted to complete prior to my business meeting could not be finalized because of this. I will never stay in a Super 8 again.

This motel was quite decent. The location was great as a home base for exploring downtown and vicinity. It was prefect for me being on foot. The room was very clean and modern. Wood and tile floors. No carpet. Liked that very much. Nice flat screen with HBO. The staff I interacted with were all very nice. One issue. Noise at night. There was a multi room party going on directly upstairs from me. It was still early so I put with it for a while. I finally picked up the room phone to call the desk to request a room change but the phone didn't work. By the time I got my boots on to walk over to the office the party dispersed. I guess they went downtown. I slept with ear plugs and never heard them come back. I stayed on a Sunday and Monday. Off nights for partying in general but had a bit of it going on both nights at the motel. That said I would stay here again for sure. I always travel with ear plugs.

Check in was delayed by 50 minutes!!! The grounds and exterior need tons of work. Location was great to the UT campus and downtown Austin.

Stayed here for a night , for a convention. Rooms were newly remodeled and very clean and comfortable . We were not able to check on early , that was my only complaint really. Good location close to everything you want to do in Austin .

great experience and what you should expect for a less expensive super 8 motel. nothing amazing and flashy, but came with free wifi, continental breakfast, microwave, and a fridge which is more than most expensive hotels can say

I was looking for a cheap room for a one-night stay on a business trip and this hotel worked well for me. I have no complain. The room had everything that I needed. Also it was very close to the Austin convention center so it was perfect for me.
