Hotel was being remodeled so the breakfast area was small and the only hot item available was making a waffle. Room had an unpleasant odor. Room had recently been remodeled. Was no place to drive up and unload your luggage because of the remodeling so had to take the cart out to our parked vehicle. Door to enter the temporary lobby was small so took one holding the door while the other pushed in the vart. Understand this was due to the remodeling and is temporary but would not have stayed there if had known they were undergoing this project.

The hotel was too full to supply any additional towels, pillows, and blankets regardless of the fact we were 3 people staying in a room with only 2 double beds. No trundle bed available either.

Great staff. Had very minor problem with 1st room but the front desk solved it quickly by changing my room. The 2nd room was much nicer. Also the 1st room needed an update with the bath/shower controls...very confusing - at least to me. Pool was clean and enjoyed it. Could have had more choices at the breakfast but everything was kept clean and filled. The waffle station was in a great place because it was away from the rest of the buffet so there wasn't a pile up of people.

had to figure out to to make the potty flush... was not working correctly but of course when the guy came up to check -- it flused ok... sink stopped broken and water stood in the sink,... Heat/air would not even come on.. did not bother to call this one in because was able to tolerate temp even though it was a bit stuffy. I would think they could purchase a decent quality face tissue in bulk.. What was provided is like fine grade sand paper to the face and nose. Will not be my choice of a place to stay next trip to Austin.

During my stay, the fire alarms would go off at random. That was pretty disturbing.

Our smoke alarm battery started beeping about 7:30pm. We called the desk & were told " you can fix that". We said no, you need to come fix it for us. Over a hour passed & no help. We called again & were told someone would come up in a 10-15 minutes. No one showed up & I went to the desk, & brought back the only employee in the building. He could not fix it, did not bring a new battery w/him. We were w/o a smoke detector.

Overall, a good stay. It was more expensive than most other La Quinta's I've stayed at, but still not bad. I didn't have my dog on this trip, but really appreciate their pet friendly policy in every La Quinta I've stayed at.

This hotel cost us above average (we know because we extended our stay in austin at another newer hotel nearby for nearly 20 less) for less than average hotel experience.

The hotel was conveniently located for our purpose. The room was clean and appeared well maintained. The staff was pleasant, polite and very helpful with an issue with the television. We plan on using this location on our next over-night visit to Austin.

Stayed in North Austin due to booking limitations during ACL Fest. Hotel was nice and staff were helpful. Would recommend staying to anyone wanting to be near the shopping areas of N. Austin, but not downtown.

Very close to shopping and restaurants. The suite makes you feel at home. Will stay there again.

In comparison with north I-35 Austin hotels, this little gem on the Mopac had better value! The rooms are older, less attractive but the beds were comfy. I recommend when in a pinch.

Very nice side of town and the rooms were clean. The Domain and Whole Foods nearby. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of construction on Mopac making the commute a bit longer.

The entire hotel was hot from the very beginning of checking in until the day we checked out. We arrived and were given a difficult time because we booked with Orb. We went up to our room (elevator was also burning up) and found our room at a very hot 78 degrees. I went to close the curtains and found that the window was open (on a 100 degree day) and the A/C was set at 72. I went downstairs to request a different room but the front desk asked if I wanted to wait for the room to cool (also claiming it wouldn't cool instantaneously and I needed to wait) and If I closed the window. I really needed to get ready to go out so I insisted on a cool room so that I wouldn't have to get ready in the heat. They provided a different room on the opposite side of the hotel and said this one should be cool. We entered only to find it at an uncomfortable 76 degrees again with the thermostat set at 72. I decided this may be the best we could get so I dealt with it but lowered the thermostat to 65 degrees. I left for a few hours to return to a room at 74 degrees at 10 pm. The room stayed at 74 the entire night even though it was set at 65. The staff was rude with our complaints and wouldn't budge to offer anything due to us booking with Orb. Overall -- DO NOT STAY HERE!! We will think twice about stay at a La Quinta ever again!!

We stayed in a suite on the 2nd floor. VERY clean, new everything, great layout, roomy, and pet-friendly. The morning breakfast ended early at 930 am, thats pretty much my only complaint. The pool area was nice too. Definitely stay there again.

It was great. The only discrepancy was a light bulb being out in the entry area to the room.

The location is great, next to the interstate, close to shopping and next door to Whole Foods The staff was friendly and helpful Downside - some of our windows were dirty on the outside - probably just bad local water but it made the coffee and juices undrinkable. Thankfully I could walk next door to Whole Foods Would definitely stay here again

worst hotel i have ever stayed at

some issues with fire alarms

Overall, a good stay. It was more expensive than most other La Quinta's I've stayed at, but still not bad. I didn't have my dog on this trip, but really appreciate their pet friendly policy in every La Quinta I've stayed at.
