Super 8 Augusta

We were looking for somewhere to sleep that wasn't over $200 a night. We paid $130 and it was probably worth about half that BUT it was close to The Masters and several local areas to eat. Staff was friendly and attentive. It could use a fresh coat of paint, new linens and curtains. Bathroom and floor tiles really need to be upgraded as well.

The room was fine until I noticed someone else's hair on the bedding. The refrigerator wasn't working and the heating and air would not adjust. We got new bedding and when I called desk a guy came to defrost the refrigerator so it would work. When we got back later that day, a steady stream of water seeped out on the floor. I slipped and hit my knee on the floor. We had to go get extra towels to keep the water mopped up all night.

Maybe I'm not being fair to the Super 8. Maybe I expected something less corroded, worn, cigarette smoke smelling and generally nasty than what I should have expected. But, I'd rather have slept in my car or under a table at the adjacent Denny's, or in the men's room of a no-name roadside gas station. it was truly awful.

I walked into my room that had not been totally cleaned. Found a millipede about three inches long in the bath room. Abundants of ants. People calling the room at all hours of the night. Found a boui knife under the mattress. Would not recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay at another super 8 for the rest of my life.

Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean.

I'm surprised Super 8 permits this hotel to continue with their chain. It is shabby and badly needs improvement. The clerk who checked us in seemed confused. There were bed bugs or fleas in our room, and I was bitten several times. The carpet was worn, and the floor in the bathroom was sticky. The only good thing about our experience was the Denny's Restaurant that was attached. The food was good and the service was excellent. Warn folks to choose another hotel in Augusta.

I didn't have high hopes for this property, but most of the places around were booked. It surprised me. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets fresh. And housekeeping freshened my room after my first night. That was a plus. Cons? The place needs more staff. When my key didn't work the second night when I returned from the hospital I had to wait outside a locked lobby for nearly 15 minutes. Not fun. Overall, I'll stay here again.

Trash still in room. Makes you wonder was it even cleaned

We were there for one night prior to attending a practice round at the Masters. The staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. They bent over backwards for us. The room was immaculate! We booked the most inexpensive hotel for the one night in Augusta . . . and we would have been happy spending a week!

Very comfortable, will stay there again. Close to dining. Very convenient location on the main drag.

I stayed in Augusta to participate in the half-Ironman that was going on in town. I pretty much just needed a roof over my head for a couple nights. Good things: * Nice decor * Fairly clean * Attentive staff Bad things: * HVAC unit was inefficient - seemed like it was either cold or hot, no in-between, and it was muggy the whole time * Saw the biggest roach I've ever seen in my life in the bathroom, sucker must have been 2 inches long * My pillow was hard as a rock. It was like trying to sleep with my head on a mountain

This was the worst trip ever! The best thing is that almost everything is in walking distance. We had loud guest that we had to call the police on.

Locale wise, a great spot. Very nice people working there. Overall condition of room was below average. While there were cosmetic upgrades made in the past, the whole place needs several coats of paint and extensive cleaning. Just don't look down.

I was in town for the Masters, the one week a year when all the hotels know they need to be on their game. First room-no A/C. Second room-no heat. We did have what we think was a cockroach in the room that was quite interesting at times. Oh, and another thing, not one day could we get our Key Cards to work. Every day was another trip to the front desk to re-key the cards. There is one plus-it is connected to a Denny's with a friendly staff and typically awesome breakfast food.

Booked this hotel for a trip to a Practice Round the Masters in Augusta. The facility was rated 4 out of 5 by [...]. The room needed paint. Only a bathtowel was provided. A security lock on the front door had been removed. The shower leaked at a good clip. The pool was filthy. Check in was slow and staff did not stay attentive to the process from start to finish. Only provided one key as they said they were low on keys (I guess they did not anticipate getting a good crowd the week of the Masters Golf Tournament. This place was really overrated. TV screen was very good.

It was great, it's in a very convient area for anything u really want. It is also very well kept up for a low price..

We really enjoyed the Hotel stay. The hotel was really nice and clean! I did not expect that for the price that we paid. I will be staying there on my next trip!
