Stayed here a number of times and experienced both the renovated and non-renovated rooms. The renovated one bedroom apartment is the most recent stay and I rate this as great value for money. We paid a really reasonable $130 for the room and it was spacious, new, clean and comfortable. There was also a balcony. We were within walking distance of the Powerstation, where we were attending an event. The check in process can be challenging depending who you get as sometimes English is an issue and parking a car to check in is almost impossible. Overall good value for money.

Like most Waldorfs it can be hit and miss. They are functional apartments the big trick is knowing how to get your car out of the car park without burning the rubber in your tyres. On exit go as far left as you can and you will get traction go too far right and the tyres spin

A large apartment which was clean and well equipped. The kitchen had a large fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and cooker: all appliances pretty new. Tea/coffee milk and sugar provided. The beds were very comfortable and nice bedding. There was even a washing machine in the bathroom where the shower was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

We had a one bedroom apartment on the 12th floor. The apartment was attractive and clean and quiet The design leaves something to be desired but on the whole it works well. (my husband is an architect so he had some mild criticisms, e.g the huge king sized bed fills up the bedroom so it was difficult to get around one side, but a very comfortable bed) Some electrical problems were resolved quickly. There is a laundry in the basement and you can pick up tokens and soap at the desk but the machines I used took several hours to use and needed to be fixed. Much better was a washing machine in the apartment and they gave me a rack to dry the clothes on. Plenty of big towels and a great shower. Included was a microwave, oven, small dishwasher, iron and board,and hair dryer. You have to remember to turn on the electricity for each item at the wall plugs. There was a shortage of power outlets on the walls. The hotel has very good security, a card key to your door has to be used on the lift and is recognised for the floor you are located. In other words no-one can enter without a specific card. The hotel is on top of a hill and a brief walk gets you to the center or many other areas. There are many buses and the airport Sky bus stops nearby. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I had a one bedroom apartment on the 15th floor which had everything you could want plus a small balcony. King sized bed and a great shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had some urgent business printing to do on arrival and this was no problem to the fantastic lady behind the desk. Street noise can be heard but this is the same for any Auckland CBD hotel. I have stayed in most similar priced apartments in the CBD and this was definately one of the better ones. It is located near the University so on the fringe of the CDB with a good 25 minute down to the marina. The Skybus drops you off just across the street and their is a Skybus pickup back to the airport just on the bridge which is a 3 minute walk. There are plenty of places for breakfast 5 minutes away and Number Five fine dining and an Italian restaurant just across the road. I would definately stay here again as you can do a lot worse in Auckland CBD.

O.K. I was on the 18th floor and the balcony was a little daunting, but I enjoyed my stay here. I had a 2 bedroom apartment and ended up using the smaller bedroom as it had windows that I could open up to allow in some fresh air. It was clean and hard to fault. Small niggles, the bathroom was very tight for all the things that were squeezed in there, including a washing machine but there was a functional kitchen, comfortable couch, big TV, it was fine. Parking seems to be a real issue everywhere in Auckland and this was no exception. There was limited parking in the basement, but f you have anything bigger than a compact car, don't bother. Off site parking was $30 per night and onsite was $25. Too pricey but this is Auckland. Overall, I would stay there again, perhaps use public transport.

We were two families who stayed in two apartments. The apartments were decent although they could do with a bit more space. We had kids and they didn’t had enough place to run around like some of the other apartments I have stayed in. The bathrooms also need an uplift - were quite old. There was no cream or shampoo provided in the rooms. They do have laundry facilities onsite.

We stayed for 11 nights , had booked two bedroom apt . The apt is next to hospital and cemetery . From queen street is about 10 min walk. It is actually in Grafton . The noise in the night is way too much , difficult to sleep. Apt.could be more clean ? There is a laundry facility in the hotel which is free . They give you 500mb free per day which you have to get the password every day or you can buy different internet package depending on your stay.

I stayed over the weekend with my friends and the experience was fantastic. we were complimentary upgraded to a superior 2-bedroom and the space was more than enough for the 4 of us. the wifi is a bit of a let down (500mb) but it doesn't matter comparing it to our overall experience. we had an amazing stay!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed here for the first 2 nights of our New Zealand trip. The apartment had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen (including oven), lounge, TV, and a breakfast bar with stools for eating, which is great for a family. As others have noted, parking in the hotel basement car park is VERY tight - we had an SUV and once we got it in the car park, we left it there for the duration of our stay. I do think housekeeping needs to better though, as we found a sock under one of the beds from a former guest, there was long hair throughout the apartment, and some of the crockery had been used, but not cleaned properly before it was put away For a city location we found the Waldorf reasonably quiet. We took a walk through the historical cemetery next door, and also to the shops/cafes located nearby
