nice room, exactly what i requested. due to travel i checked in late and checked in fast

The room had a horrible funky smell and we were eaten alive by bedbugs.

New ownership has taking over and was doing some outside repairs, However my room was not super clean like a hotel room should be. Staff was friendly and pleasant to chat with.

This hotel looks NOTHING like their advertised pictures. I am shocked by this blatant false advertisement. It is poorly maintained, dark, and dingy. They half heartedly did some renovations, but didn't bother to fill in holes from old hardware removal or sand and paint over the spackle. The bathroom grout is filthy, with grimy looking and cracked tiles. One of the drawers is missing from the dresser, leaving only the sliders and a gaping hole, with the other drawers also inoperable. The carpets were filthy and had burn holes in a few places. The refrigerater is old and has black spots, which I can only assume is mold, inside and around the seal. And let me not forget the rusty lamp with electrical tape around the plug. Everything is mostly rusted, worn down, and falling apart. I spoke with the manger, who was very nonchalant, telling me that the room is clean. I do not see how a moldy refrigerator and disgusting looking floor can be anywhere close to clean. I am appalled.

Just very run down. Non smoking room stunk like smoke.

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen..I really think it is a brothel..When I saw the room, I decided not to stay, I thought for sure I would get bed bugs, or maybe even robbed late at night.. I checked in and then checked out all within about 10 minutes. Sleep in your car if you have too!

Stains on the sheets. Base boards missing on part of the walls.

Would have been nice in the 70's. Everything was outdated and old. Has not been updated. Door would not even close all the way.

This hotel is old and tired. Our room had large water stains on the ceiling, old and worn furniture. The room smelled of mold and mildew. There was a gap under the door that allowed the air and light to come in. I would not stay at this place again at any price. The only positive was the staff who was very friendly and responsive.

I was worried when I read other people's reviews of this hotel. I was in Auburn for a football game. All the other hotels were either booked or WAY too expensive. This hotel was in a great location and for a decent price. We felt safe and it was very quiet. The rooms are outdated, but we did not care. We were very pleased!

The bathroom door had a notch cut into it so that it could open and not hit the toilet when it was opened. The shower had a bar of soap that was in there for who knows how long. When we asked for two extra towels the clerk treated us like they were gold and we were going to pawn them. The breakfast was okay at best. Overall the only thing nice about this hotel was the location. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Bad smell when we got into the room. Floors were dirty with several dead spiders. Beds were not comfortable. Room key never worked, had to have the door opened by one of the staff with their reprogramer tool. One of the worst stays ever.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel itself looks neglected and needs serious maintenance, plaster off ceiling in room, furniture needs repair. Stayed here for graduation so room price was twice regular price, really over-priced for condition of hotel itself and rooms.

This poor rundown motel was in sorry shape. We made the mistake of pulling the sheets off the bed to find a BROWN, STAINED MATTRESS... fortunately we weren't planning on staying a second night because I was thoroughly grossed out.

NOT ALL THAT CLEAN AND OLD LOOKING NOT AS NICE AS WAS LED TO BELIEVE

I left the hotel with a full refund. Would not recommend it at all. I called Days Inn Corp. [...] to express my dis-satisfaction. Did not stay there. Would not stay there at any time in the future.

We were there for a Auburn football game. The first nite all was pretty quiet. The second nite was very noisy up until 2:00AM. The door had alot of light between frame & door which also added to noise outside. Our room was near the stairs so we got noise from that also. The room was clean and we loved having a microwave and a small refrigerator in it. The people working there were great!!!

the only positive thing was the clerk that checked us in. she was very friendly and helpful. the room was way overpriced for what we got. the room was dirty and in need of repairs. half of the lightbulbs were burned out. the 2 night minimum was ridiculous! we would have left after the first night and gone someplace else that was reasonably priced and clean!

The Days Inn Opelika was very comfortable and a good value. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area which was very nice. The room was very clean.

The front dest staff was great. The cleaning people were not in uniform and you could not tell who was staff and who was not. There was a family in our room when we got the there and I thought they were staying there but it was the cleaning person, her husband, and her children. If I had to do it again, I would pay more and stay at a different location.
