We stayed here for one night and the hotel staff were great. The room was big but the bed was small. No outdoor space and no breakfast and the room smelled of dogs just back from a walk. The staff used Fabre W and after 3-4 applications the smell went away. I felt it was overpriced for what you got to be honest.
From the moment we walked into the lobby until checkout, the staff were excellent. The room was immaculate and comfortable. There was no funky odors typically found in rooms with kitchens, and everything was like new.
Stayed here for 5 weeks for work; coming and going at all times of the day and evening so I got to see the motel in action and got to know the employees. This is a great hotel in that the service is topnotch ... everyone is so helpful, attentive and sweet! It's very well maintained and clean. And the rooms are huge, well-equipped, and comfy. Very large desks so if you are here for work, you'll have plenty of room to set up a computer/printer, etc. There's a Lending Locker so if you want a particular kitchen appliance like a panini grill, you can check one out. Free laundry. Never had to wait for a washer or dryer. Outdoor patio and grill. And the location is super convenient, midway between Opelika and Auburn. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I came back to the plains to celebrate my birthday and 10 year graduation anniversary for a weekend trip and brought my family, including my health nut wife, our 15-month old daughter, and pup- this hotel was perfect as they allow pets and accommodated the space my family needed, and they had a cool workout facility so my wife could get a workout in. The Staff at the hotel was great, from the frontline Staff to the General Manager- everyone was very hospitable, friendly, and made us feel welcome. The location is great, and the facility as a whole was clean- including our room. The bed was comfortable- which is a must. This would be a great place to stay whether you’re just doing an overnight or extended stay. They have items you can borrow downstairs- from blenders to board games, and they have a pantry with just about whatever items you need like last minute grub to feed your hangry kid (like we did). All in all very pleased with our stay- I encourage anyone looking to stay in Auburn to give these guys a shot- you won’t be disappointed!
Everyone at this hotel is friendly and helpful!! Bailey at the front desk checked me in and I was good to go. She also had some great info on local restaurants! Thanks Bailey. The hotel is CLEAN and well maintained. Its quiet a plus after a long work day. Its convient to Opelika and Auburn, easy off from the interstate. Grocerys are right down the street. Good mini kitchen. Thanks all for a sucessful visit to Auburn and Opelika.
We'd like to thank the General Manager for her hospitality. Our stay was very comfortable and feeling very safe from the weather. The staff was welcoming and the room very clean and comfortable. The card and board games were very helpful to take our mind off the weather. Thank God it wasn't severe like the possibility it could have been. Thank you again That was very kind of you We really appreciate it.
The best front desk service I’ve ever experienced while working on the road. The rooms are very nice and the hotel atmosphere makes you feel homey. Highly recommend staying at this great establishment.
The rooms in this hotel are nice and the bed is good. But when I checked in at the lobby there was a gathering of men drinking beer at the front desk. Was it a bar, i thought? After two guys stepped away to then comment on skinny jeans in "those gay bars", I felt I was in very unfriendly place. The front desk lady apologized but then excused it. Not going to return to this hotel.
The room we had was nice. The cleaning staff had just finished the room. Apparently, the list occupants did a number on that room. Our family of 4 was comfortable. Unfortunately, the t.v. in the bedroom did not work. The front desk brought us another remote, but that did not resolve the issue. That was not a major issue for me. The t.v. in the living room worked for the kids. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio space. It was a great place to gather with the rest of our group. We only wished the fire pit had been working. That would have been the icing on the cake. Overall, it was a good, comfortable stay.
I stayed at the Candlewood Suites Auburn for 2 nights in October 2018 for a football weekend. I was not impressed by the hotel at all. Here are a few observations of my stay: 1) The hotel location is a bit away from Auburn and is close to the airport area, 2) The hotel staff is friendly and helpful when asked, 3) Room is spacious and provides all one needs for an extended stay; however, the price charged for the football weekend was steep and felt like a rip-off, 4) The bathroom has all the amenities one needs but was surprised that the hot water in the shower is not readily available and needs a long time to run at some times, 5) Good choice of in-room TV channels, 6) Free Wi-Fi is available across the hotel; however, I had difficulty connecting to it and when I did, the speed was horrible.
