I stayed here during the dog show, Definitely had a great time in atlanta, tired in the evening had a good night sleep for 3 nights. Beds were comfy and very clean. The most thing I loved was the vinyl floor. Will meet again next dog show.
This is probably the worst hotel I have stayed at all around. It had potential upon the first few minutes in the room but then saw how poorly it had been maintained. The shower had be sprayed with paint and then it was all chipping in the shower and was not pleasant while showering. In addition, the room has been attempted to be remodel but the bedding was very soiled. The blanket in particular had stains and had not been washed. My room looked like the doors on the inside had been broken down by very violent people. The main door had been busted and pasted back by wood putty or glue. Do not feel safe. Cleanliness of room a joke and soap, toilet paper, towels were less than adequate especially trying to take a shower in such a unhygienic and poorly maintained bathroom. Also, the last night we went to get ice out of the outside ice maker and it was not working. I went I the front desk and they told me that the only ice on the entire property. I was out of luck. I also asked if it would be possible to check out at 12pm instead of 11am. Absolutely no per management policy. No exceptions. I have never heard of such a thing. Bottom line. I would never ever stay here under no circumstances. They do not know the meaning of hospitality and I am sure super 8 corporate will not be happy with the way these franchisees are managing this location with their reputation on the line. Be sure they will hear every detail about the squalor condition of this location and the management.
Aside from the rude staff that met us at the front desk, the pimp upstairs using the facilities as a faux-brothel, or the cops getting called as a result from guests using the lady's services for free, this was definitely an interesting experience. They did provide us with clean towels though and the light-fixtures were visually appealing
I was very unimpressed. The room was disgusting, and I almost didn't even want to sleep in the bed. I don't understand how you can charge me for an uninhabitable room. I turned on the a/c and it smelled like someone peed in it. I would like a refund. I know as a fact of I reported this to the proper people then this place would no longer be in business.
I drive a 18 wheeler, not sure if you can turnaround in parking lot so I parked on the on ramp and walked to the hotel. There is a nice food selection west of the hotel and interstate. Hotel sits off the road enough that you don't hear the traffic going by.
I reserved my room online with my husband's credit card of which I am an authorized user. My husband was not traveling with me and the clerk refused to accept the card as payment at check in, nor did he offer to call the credit card company to verify my authorization to use the card. There was a $40 deposit in addition to the room fee that they actually take from your account and then return at check out after they inspect your room. I didn't even bother with breakfast. There were large centipedes (or millipedes, I always confuse the two) crawling around on the floor both mornings when I awoke, and there were ants in the bathroom area . The location and price suited my needs, but I would not stay here again unless I absolutely had to.
I was charged an extra $40 deposit if I smoked in a room. This was not included in the website charges and I still haven't received a refund for the discovery that we did not smoke in the room. We had to wait until someone came in and inspected the room before I could get a final receipt showing the charges and refund. Additionally, the card that was charged to the room was overdraft because of the charge! I will make sure to do better research of who owns these hotels before booking next time, perhaps stop using Wyndham Rewards afterall.... My room smelled like someone pissed all over and just sprayed bleach to mask the smell. Needless to say, we hardly stayed in our rooms during our stay.
The property was nice there was no pool and the staff member was rude enough to play on his computer in the common area with the volume as high as it could go during breakfast. My need to check out seemed to interrupt the importance of what he was watching on the computer.
Check in was fast, the room was clean and comfortable and no heavy activity of strange people, quiet. It's close to the highway which made it easy to access. No issues at all. I will make this a regular stop because it is much better than the Super 8 in Forest Park, GA. Bed was more comfortable as well.
This hotel is definitely a pleasant experience. The staff is very professional and their service is remarkable. I would recommend this Super 8 any day. It is conveniently positioned right next to the 285. Money well spent indeed.
