Great experience. Will be returning to this hotel.

It truly was clean. I was quite happy about that. It is dated with old paneling, but like I say, it was clean. Not much for breakfast. Just a bagel or cheerios essentially. Staff was good to us. The head of the bed is kind of blown by the a/c. not bad. The pillows were almost non existant. FLAT! $60.. Whachagoina do??

Room was very clean. Proximity to Ohio University is excellent. Quiet area and on Saturday mornings there is an excellent Farmer's Market right across the street. Decent sized refrigerator, nice tv and a microwave. The place is fine for what I need when I visit Ohio U. for sporting events.

The room was clean albeit a little dated from1950s era wood paneling and old tile in the bathroom. There is a newer addition but it evidently is only used when there are more patrons so I was able to sleep in the Bates motel side. The internet worked only half the time I was there and asking for help yielded none. The breakfast could keep you alive if you love carbs but if you want ANY protein in your diet you need to go somewhere else, so I went to Bob Evans down the road The ac unit buttons were broken so it took ingenuity to get the temp right. The refrigerator managed to cool things off but never was cold at all. some of the lamp bulbs were burnt out as well in the room and the lightning was not good in the first place. The price was much lower than at other hotels in the area and with good reason. Wont be going back.

Photos are misleading. , the have new rooms but because they don't sell them the guests get stuck with the 1950 style wood paneled room with tiled bathroom all of which shows it's age. The wi Fi didn't reach our room and when asked the staff just said that's all they could do Not the friendliest staff. The breakfast had not juice and no protein of any type. The refrigerator only cooled off items and the through the wall ac control buttons were broke. And finally. The no smoking room was beside a smoker and the smoke managed to filter into the room so when I get home I need to wash all my clothes to get out the smell.

Ok - but the bathroom was not the cleanest. Check in was easy and there was easy access to a cab ride.

First of all I should say that we are continually amazed at how much you pay to stay in a hotel. The staff was friendly enough and even offered to leave breakfast open for us Sunday morning after they were closed. Check in was easy. The room was clean enough but was missing that special something. The bed was hard, pillows flat and there was simply a sheet and the bed covering on the bed. The water was hot and had enough pressure but the shower head was for someone well under five foot tall. We stayed in the back row of rooms and did not experience the paneling in some of the reviews. For the cost it seemed high but apparently that is the going rate now days for hotels...

My husband and I had a very clean room, fresh bed (Very comfortable and roomy :), and was just minutes away from OU. Price was right and staff was great!

We were looking for a bargain and got it. Saw a picture of one of the rooms. Should not have been surprised by all the panelling, but to see it live took me back to the early 50's. Problem was, I was never in the early 50's. Bed was OK. Breakfeast was spartan. Probably look for other options next time.

I'm glad I read previous reviews, they prepared me for the wood paneled rooms (It was ok, just made the room seem darker). The room was small but clean. The breakfast was very spare. I would stay here again if it was an overnight visit (but plan on breakfast somewhere else).
