Extremely nice guy at the check in told us everything that was going on in town. There is a free wine, beer, food happy hour. The room was super cute, great shampoos and soap. The lodge was only two blocks from all restaurants and bars.

It gets the job done. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The location is the best part about it and it is good to see a clean hotel that is actually affordable for a quick getaway.

If you plan on going to Aspen, The Molly Gibson Lodge is a must to experience. The motel, and the staff were first rate. The location is the best, you are right in the heart of Aspen, walking distance to everything. The breakfast was a super nice surprise with a wide variety of items. The only down side I could think of is the lack of parking but the front desk gave me a parking pass to park on the street so I didn't have to pay parking. Highly recommended, will return for sure!!!

My husband and I arrived at the hotel after a 42 mile bike ride and were so pleased, not only with our room, but with the hotel's amenities. They were hosting a BBQ, where we were able to enjoy free food and drinks. They even had someone from the Aspen Historical Society to answer people's questions about the town. The complimentary breakfast each morning was also exceptional, offering breakfast burritos, bacon, and other hot dishes in addition to the traditional continental breakfast items.

One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. I will definitely stay there again when I come back to Aspen.

We walked downtown to lunch. Nice hot tub. Shuttle took us to the airport.

A lovely little hotel in downtown Aspen with a charming staff, a simple and honey decor, and wood burning fireplaces everywhere. The après ski was basic but good, with a chatty and fun Brit behind the bar. Open bar and snacks from 4:30-6. My room was basic but very comfortable and well maintained. I think I had the smallest, but there was a delightful skylight above my bed. The shuttle was down so I had to can it from the airport, and the front desk reinhursed me for my ride! I would recommend this hotel to friends for sure.

A spontaneous trip to Aspen for the first time turned out to be a fabulous getaway. The hotel is located in the heart of Aspen with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and trails. Rooms were comfortable and clean and breakfast was an added bonus.

Very helpful staff, beautiful hotel, and a great location. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, nicely remodeled rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, for the prices in Aspen this is a great deal. We were there over July 4th and the hotel is right on Main Street where the 4th Parade went right by as well as local festivities in the park across the street. Restaurants were in walking distance as well as the main downtown shopping area. We walked to the gondola for a great ride to the top of the mountain. It is important to be able to walk to all of these places since parking is near impossible in Aspen. The Molly Gibson has parking for guests so park your car and walk! The breakfast in the morning included eggs, bacon, sausage, great pancakes from a neat pancake maker, juices, good coffee, cereal, breads, doughnuts, fresh fruit and more. Since food is very expensive in Aspen this breakfast saves you lots of money. The staff is friendly and helpful, the grounds are very nice, lovely seating on the property and a nice pool with towels provided pool side. We also had a safe in the room which was a nice feature. The bed was very comfortable, I could actually sleep and felt great in the morning. We did not have to go anywhere to see the 4th fireworks we sat outside in the "backyard" and could see 95% of the show. If I go back to Aspen I will stay at the Molly Gibson Lodge.

Cozy, very great staff, perfect if you're looking to not spend too much but still want a pretty place with a pool in Aspen.

The hotel was amazing! the staff was quite friendly and the room was perfect even for 4 of us staying in one room. The location doesn't get much better either! the bus to the ski hills is right across the street and town is only a block away! The cleaning service did an amazing job as well! they actually picked up our mess, such as clothes and boots and those sorts of things were laying all over and they put them nicely on the dresser. Also, we were using the pull out couch and they made that up and folded it back up. They have a continental breakfacst which was average. Some days they had a really good breakfast with breakfast burritos and other days it was just eggs and sausage/bacon. I think it was a little over priced but we were there for the X-games so i believe that is the main source of the price being so hig. Next time i go to Aspen i plan on staying here again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling there.

My son had recommended this hotel, when I wasn't sure which one to choose. And I have to say, he was absolutely right. From the moment we walked in for check-in to check-out the front desk was very friendly and professional. We found out, to our surprise, that there was a "Happy Hour" that was part of the price, besides the included breakfast. So, needless to say, we had to take advantage of that! There's a cozy room in the basement with a fireplace where complimentary beer and wine is served, plus snacks. The breakfast is also served in that very same room in the morning, but the breakfast could stand a lot of improvement and that's why I gave only 4 stars instead of 5. The coffee was awful - had absolutely no taste, the potatoes were hard and the fruit was old and tasted like it was fermenting. We booked 2 king-size rooms. My husband and I had a room with a wood burning fireplace - very romantic! Our son had a room with a Jacuzzi tub, which he loved. There was an outside heated pool and 2 hot tubs. Too bad I had forgotten my bathing suit. Would have loved to take a dip with a temperature of 20 degrees. This hotel is in walking distance to the village, so no need to take a car. There is a bus that stops right next to the hotel, if you want to go skiing. I certainly recommend this hotel highly. Next time, we'll skip the breakfast. There is a cute little bakery that serves breakfast just steps from the hotel.

nice place to stay. Only stayed one night with the king bed and fireplace. It was small, but cozy and definitely wish we stayed more than one night. The bed was by far the stand out point in the night...where it mattered!

staff was friendly, room was grerat and amenities were pleseant

Good location in downtown Aspen about 6 blocks from the Gondola. The hotel is located right along the bus route with free busses to Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk. This makes skiing at all 4 very convenient.

Great lodging and great location at a reasonable price.

It was a great place to stay. Staff was very courteous. We enjoyed our stay.

This hotel met our basic needs and good deal for one night. But not sure if I our visit was longer I woudl be very happy.

Our last visit to the Molly Gibson was 25 years ago. It was a pleasant place to stay then and we were very happy to find that it is still a good value. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the breakfast was superb as was the apres ski happy hour. Also, food for sandwich making and snacks was available in the a.m. so one can make a lunch to go and save the big bucks not having to buy lunch on the mountain. Very good bus service to the ski areas. Short walking distance to downtown. They were having heating system problems so we had to open our windows at night to keep from baking but this is a temporary issue. Bathrooms, at least ours, pretty snug. Our room had a great view of Aspen Mtn. Nice hot tub. We will definitely stay there again.
