ibis Sydney Darling Harbour

Probably 3.5 stars.

Great location close to Darling Harbour, walk through shopping centre to get to conversion centre. Small rooms, tiny beds but big TV. Breakfast good. Staff friendly. Room smelt a bit iffy.

The Westin Sydney

Simply the best

This was by far the best place we stayed in Sydney. Everything was perfect about the hotel. Location, service and food was simply fabulous. The decor is just bread taking.

Ashfield Manor

“Treated More Like a Friend than a Customer”

I stayed at Ashfield Manor for 9 days in March 2015 while I was in Sydney for a Women’s Conference at Hillsong Church. I would highly recommend this facility in the budget / economy lodging category. Ashfield is a suburb about 10 km from downtown, which can quickly be reached by train. The building is older, but was clean and comfortable. My small single room was good value for the amount of money spent. It had lots of shelves and drawers for personal belongings. I am especially thankful for the help of staff members Margherita and Robbie. Both went out of their way to help me with questions and concerns and made my stay more enjoyable. Before the end of my trip, they knew me by name and treated me more like a friend than a customer. I would definitely stay here again. Here is a summary of amenities: - Internet Kiosk: $2 for 20 minutes - Breakfast: variety of breads and cereals - Coffee and Tea: always available - Night “Key Safe” to retrieve room key if checking in after reception has closed - 10 minute walk to train then 20 minute train ride to CBD - Parking: 3 spaces in front or around the block in safe residential neighborhood - Air conditioning and fan in room - Small refrigerator in room - Washer and Dryer - Mall, grocery, and numerous restaurants within 10 minute walk - Friendly and helpful staff
