This hotel really needs maintenance. The pool, which was looking forward to, had been drained. The room really needs work all the way around. The staff was good though, and suggested a wonderful restaurant next door

very convenient location -- just a few blocks from town and right on the main road

Older motel. Saving $ where they can. Small creek nearby and across is great Mex Restaurant. Good location. Less value than other motels at this price point, but maybe not for this area?

Not sure if we'd stay here again or not. The property is old. We had some problem with cell phone coverage.

Being from the area and knowing the history of this hotel 50+ years old for the main portion and 30+ for the newest portion, the hotel is extremely dated. I have not stayed in the newest portion, but if anything like the oldest and our family being non-smokers, I really don't believe this hotel should be advertising "Smoke Free" rooms. Additionally, there are water stains on the ceilings, broken soap dishes and towel bars in the shower exposing sharp ceramic edges that could easily cut someone, the plumbing is sub-standard (standing water in the bathtub and sink and toilets that do not flush completely. I do not stay at this hotel due to the amenities nor the cleanliness nor do I stay there often but merely as not to impose on family and the convenience to my family. I do not believe you get what you pay for and think this hotel uses the draw of the arts and crafts and the tourism industry due to the relative proximity to local attractions i.e. Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway etc. and if you are looking for just a place to lay your head to take all of this in, then it is what it is, but for a family of 4 to call a home away from home it certainly is not and I would think somewhat of a disappointment for the Hilton affiliation.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4:30 pm. Carpet was dirty, and plaster coming off the wall!

Has had upgrade but work was very sloppy work and I felt like I was stay in a nasty hotel. The worse parts was the 2 or 3 roaches I seen, the smell and the stains on the pillows/sheet.

Cheap hotel but noisy. Slept terribly. Old place needs upgrade. Not many hotels in Black Mountain and the others looked even worse. Crack in the shower wall and the toilet needed to be cleaned. Staff is polite but the place is a bit run down to be honest. $75 a night should at least be clean.

Hotel is reasonably priced and close to everything . Upon arrival we were in a smoking room but were quickly given a non- smoking upon request. Great value and pet friendly.

Our stay at Super 8 Black Mountain was much less than expected. The room was not kept up as far as repairs, decorating, or general cleanliness. The drawers were dirty and had old food crumbs in every corner, the wallpaper was peeling and the ceiling was separating from the walls in the room. There were stains and rust spots around the room and the faucet leaked. It also smelled like stale cigarette smoke and mildew, though we had a supposed non-smoking room.

Not a great place for a longer-term stay, but fine for overnight. Adequate, and the staff is great.

Very nice, safe place to stay. Pedestrian friendly area. Mattress was new and very comfortable. Nice breakfast included.

this is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. basic amenities and basic breakfast. but it's clean enough, comfortable enough, and the staff was very friendly. great mexican restaurant on the other side of the parking lot too. convenient location to hiking in mt. mitchell state park. would stay again.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The room, breakfast space and reception were very clean. The breakfast was simple but perfectly ok for the money. You can walk from the hotel to a very good Mexican restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Very convenient. The only disadvantage on Friday night was the noise of other guests talking on the front porch.

We arrived at Motel and were very upset when we opened the door to our room. Room was not what the website showed. It was gross and in need of repair. Our shower did not work so they put us in another room. The 2nd room was worse than the 1st. The bathroom was not clean at all. It was late, very late and I cleaned the bathroom myself. I would not recommend the Motel to my worst enemy. That would be to cruel. But beside all this we took our lemons and made lemonade.

Basic lodging. Better than expected, worth the money compared to other hotels in the area.

Chose this hotel because of the price. Got what I paid for. No more. No less.

the place was clean, it was organized, and I recommend it.

This hotel provided the closest accomodations to Chimney Rock, NC at a reasonable price. I was only there for one night and all the places to stay in Chimney Rock are a bit expensive or require a 2 night minimum stay. The hotel staff were very nice. Check-in and Check-out were quick and easy. They provide a nice amount of food for breakfast. The cleanliness of the room is what I expected for a motel off the beaten path. Best part was location. Location provided a nice walk to the shops in Black Mountain and the town itself is worth the stay.

The fridge door was broken, the fridge door shelving was cracked and unusable, and the toilets didn't flush properly. I had to tell the management and he went to get me the plunger! Not my job! He did fix it.
