My toddler got his skin itchy during our stay. My wife skin got terrible rash after the trip (lasting for 2 days). The dryer has crack on its transformer (you can even see the cooper inside). The coffee machine "shot" hot vapor toward you once it finish (very dangerous). Not recommended.

Very comfortable and convenient. I was there to celebrate Xmas with my daughter and granddaughter. So, it was a very convenient location to do Xmas shopping. Also, there were numerous nearby restaurants.

Great place to stay but not downtown. Clean, warm, quiet.

Good thing the room was nice because the wildfire smoke in Ashville was so bad we couldn't do anything we planned. Front desk lady was a sweetheart.

I last stayed in this hotel in 2010. Six years later, nothing has been updated and it shows tremendous signs of wear and tear. Our room reeked of smoke and dogs. We were able to change to another, which didn't smell quite as bad. There is a large print sign under the glass on the front desk: "DO NOT RENT TO LOCALS". This hotel has major problems with maintenance and upkeep and clientele and I would not recommend it. I will not stay here again.

If you have a car this hotel is less than ten minutes from city center. The hotel is aging but its age does not effect your stay. Breakfast buffet is big but is economy level food. Would I stay here again--I might. I enjoyed Asheville so much I might try to find a competitively priced hotel "in" the city.

Very good stay in Asheville it's a very nice hotel

Although it was a none smoking room I felt like the moment I entered the room I couldn't breath. The room smelt like smoke. We had to leave the door open so we could breath. With the AC on it didn't work. Overall the room it self was nice however. The drapes were old very old that's probably where the smoke scent came from. The bathroom was so tiny I had to turn sideways to shower. If other hotels was available I would have wasted my money canceling my stay to go to another hotel.

It'll work, but overall they would cutting corners.

Good location and great breakfast, beds are a little firm for my taste but overall a good choice!

Upon walking into the room, you were overwhelmed with the smell of smoke. There were water stains all over the roof and other people's hair in the bathroom. Had to wash all the clothes we didn't even wear to wash the cigarette smell out of them. Really not worth the money. On the upside, the staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was nice.

The facilities were dismal. I felt sorry for the front desk staff who were trying so hard. The maintenance man was responsive, too. The room was ok, beds fine. The bathrooms had numerous problems. I say bathrooms since we were upgraded to another room that was almost the same but the tub was newer. The showers did not have enough pressure for the shower heads and I had water spraying in my face. The sink did not drain. The first sink stopper was stuck closed. The owners need to spend a few nights there and experience it for themselves.

Hotel clerk seemed to be sleeping when I rang the bell. Toilet wasn't clean. Beds were uncomfortable. Odor in room.

Fine hotel for budget traveling but it was not very clean or nice. We had issues with the key card and the smell of smoke was overwhelming. Not as close to downtown as we had hoped.

Very nice Comfortable beds and quite.also had a very nice breakfast bar.

Bathroom: Dirty, leaky faucets, lousy water pressure, difficult to regulate water temperature, dingy finishes, not enough towels, etc. Room: OK, but only 1/2 the light bulbs worked

It was just fine. Within the range expected in the area. It felt safe, quiet and comfortable.

Great location, service was great, good breakfast. however on the down side the room key would not work at times , the water was cut off twice in our room. Overall it was a good stay.

The hotel did not meet our expectations. The room had spiders and bugs and the toilet struggled to work. The grounds of the hotel were nice as well as the pool but the rooms struggled to be subpar.

It has been an unfortunate several weeks as the wildfire has affected TN and NC. If you remember who you worked with at the front desk we'd like to recognize them for their tremendous customer service!
