I've stayed at this property a few times in the past and the last time I was here (2019), the facility and decor was showing its age -to the point that I decided I wouldn't come back until they updated the place. The issues I had back then were the typical "old age" issues of hotels: worn carpet, scuffs and scrapes on the walls, the bathroom moldings and caulking were aged/peeling. I decided to return (September 2023) to the hotel after seeing posts about the updated decor and renovations they've completed. I was pleasantly surprised as to how well it was done. Nothing looked aged, worn out, or dirty. The only downside is that management must've changed their hot-tub policy as the the pool and hot-tub are not available after 10pm and it's a hard cut off time now. Previously the managers would allow me to use the hot-tub as long as needed. Being a motorcyclist, I do enjoy being able to get a good soak in and help loosen up the back. This time it's a no-go. *As a side note, the Wingate by Wyndham that I had stayed at the night before has 24-hour access to their pool and hot-tub. So next time I go to Asheville (or anywhere else for that matter), I'll likely choose the Wyndham over Country Inn & Suites if there's a hot-tub available. The mattress here was superb, I'm considering one for the home. It was more comfortable than the Wyndham bed and that helped make up for not being able to use the hot tub.
Honestly, my very favorite part was that the pillows were perfect in room 510. Not too fluffy. They were the perfect flat:fluffy ratio. The hot tub, staff, cleanliness was all excellent too! No complaints at all. Great place!

This was advertised as being downtown. It's not, we had to Uber to go downtown we thought we would be able to walk from this hotel.

The property and room were clean. The comfort of the bed was decent. They haven't upgraded their coffee pots to Kuerig's yet, so I have to give them a thumbs down on that one.
