My wife and I did an anniversary trip to the Bunn House over the 4th of July weekend. It is such a nice place. Very conveniently located, well furnished, and the staff is very friendly. Also we loved the gardens, outdoor fireplace, balcony and roof top terrace. Highly recommended. We will be back.
This little boutique hotel was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed our stay so very much. The rooms were perfectly annointed with everything needed for the weekend. All the beverages and snacks in the room were included at no charge. Even the wine and the beer! My favorite was the ice cream in the mini freezer and the granola provided for breakfast! Mmmm. Everything was very private on the property. We enjoyed the sunset from the deck on the roof and from our balcony. We celebrated our anniversary here. The sweet lady texted that she would send a bottle of champagne to our room the next day. I told her that I was pregnant and although I love champagne I could not very well have any. So she offered to send a pregnancy pillow!!!I just think that is the sweetest gesture! I would recommend staying in the quite neighborhood. We loved it here
We thoroughly enjoyed the Bunn House for several nights in May. The property is a gem with many 5 star touches! Loved our view of the formal garden, easy proximity to downtown Asheville and the lovely neighborhood with an easy stroll to cafes. The well stocked refrigerator was a plus; I especially enjoyed the house white wine made from grapes grown on the property. Would recommend the Bunn House in a heart beat.
We celebrated our anniversary here, and staying here was the highlight of our trip. We initially found a bed and breakfast to book, but as we were checking out the map to walk into Asheville, we found this beautiful place. Let me explain why this place is so awesome, but beware-you are going to have to read a long list. Asheville is a beautiful place; however, it is also busy and bustling, and the fun continues late into the night. The Bunn House is a quiet oasis, after spending a fun day and evening exploring and eating. Guests lack for nothing, as the owners have thought of EVERYTHING to make the stay special. The beautifully-appointed rooms are luxurious and include high-end linens, white noise machines, heavenly beds, mini refrigerator/freezer, large (but not intrusive) flat screens, and even cushions for the outdoor chairs (they think of everything, including keeping them inside so they can always be enjoyed dry). The little kitchenette area in each room offers a daily supply of delicious organic granola, ice cream, water and soft drinks, beer, and white and red wine. They also offer snacks for you to grab downstairs, as you head out for a hike or day trip. The bathroom is also gorgeous, and the soft towels are so nice after a long steam shower. After a long day of hiking, working out, or walking around town, a steam shower and a soft robe (provided) made me feel like I was being so pampered. The grounds are also wonderful, with outdoor seating, peaceful grape vines and trees, and even an outdoor fire is provided, ready to be lit each night. We also used the rooftop terrace nightly, and we saw amazing views. In fact, we sent our picture to friends and family, and they immediately thought they recognized the view from the popular Grove Park Inn. If you enjoy a beautiful view, twinkling lights around you, complimentary wine, and a warm blanket (provided), you'll love this place. We did meet the owner and her daughter, and we also occasionally saw a staff member who provided daily room service. All of them were extremely gracious, and it is obvious that they love what they do. They gave us great dinner recommendations, like Limones, a fabulous local favorite. Their passion to provide guests a luxurious respite certainly shows in every way. Thank you so much! When we come back to Asheville, we know exactly where we will stay-no question!
We stayed for a week in room 3 at the Bunn House in April and it was wonderful! We enjoyed the balcony and western view overlooking the beautiful grounds with some stunning sunsets! The room was super clean and comfortable! Like other reviewers, we really appreciated all the small details like the granola, granola bars, and nut mixes that we took on our day hikes and the variety of small bottles of wine and craft beer that were provided in our room, the Bunn House Wine was our favorite! We also loved the rooftop view of the sunset! It was chilly but warm blankets were available so it was comfortable! Two of the evenings, we took advantage of the beautiful fireplace, wine by the fire under the decorative lights-loved it! It was just a really nice experience that made our visit to Asheville that much nicer! And we happen to meet the owners Ridgley and her husband Mark and their very adorable Newfie Mr. Big, they were so nice to chat with and had great suggestions for places to eat in the area (Loved Limones, Elements, Homegrown)! Loved Asheville! We will definitely return someday!
We stayed at the Bunn House for a quick anniversary getaway and wished we could have stayed longer. All of the amenities are top notch, including the wine, beer and coffee that comes stocked in the room. We were able to walk downtown for dinner but didn't stay long because we were excited to get back to the property to experience the outdoor fireplace, bocce ball and gorgeous grounds. We can't wait to return!
This is the perfect place to stay in a perfect spot right downtown! The grounds are gorgeous (and include a vineyard that they use to make their own wine!), the rooms are so cool and have everything you could possibly need, and their attention to detail to make you feel welcome was just so amazing. We definitely want to return to Asheville and stay at The Bunn House for a longer weekend next time. Thank you for everything!
This is our 2nd visit to the Bunn House and we really enjoy the location and the comfortable and spacious suite. It is so easy for parking and very quiet. We love walking to some of the fun restaurants nearby like the City Bakery. The neighborhood is charming and the owners have thought of everything to make your visit to Asheville a wonderful experience. Love the granola and snacks!
The Bunn House is a real gem! From the brick accent walls to the steam shower, it was all just perfect. The beds and linens were so comfortable and cozy and our room was immaculately clean. Nice wines, beer and snacks are provided daily and a fire laid in the outdoor fireplace, there’s a great view as well. You can easily walk or Uber to the downtown area. We met Ridgley, one of the owners, and her daughter, really friendly and down to earth folks. We loved everything about our week long stay and highly recommend it to others. The attention to detail was spot on and it’s just a really special place to stay.
My daughter and I had a memorable, comfortable and charming stay at the Bunn House during our first visit to Asheville. We were swept away from the moment we laid eyes on the house and the beautiful garden. Entering the home, we were greeted by an assortment of refreshments - who wouldn't love this?? And the thoughtful hospitality continued as we entered our room. Everything you would find at an upscale hotel and so much more. The whole house was very well maintained, spotlessly clean, modern but still cozy and retaining the charm of the original home. The steam shower was AMAZING after a day of being out in the cool March air ... the hot tea and snacks before bed were delightful and delicious ... time out on our balcony reflecting on our day and sipping tea created beautiful memories with my daughter. We cannot wait to come back to Asheville and the Bunn House!
