Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa

I was informed upon arrival that the room I booked was not available. This seems to be the normal routine at this resort. I must say, I was very unhappy and upset. When I book a vacation three months on advance, I expect the room I was promised, and paid for. I think that is a totally unprofessional, and ridiculous way to have your guests learn after a long plane ride. That, was the first problem. The staff at the hotel are all wonderful! No question about it. The beach and grounds are superb. Breakfast is fantastic. Lunch at the beach bar is unbelievably good. Ike's for dinner is pretty darn good too. The service at Ike's was impeccable. The sushi was great at Omakase, and the girl that makes the sushi is just a wonderful, wonderful person. Now the Chophouse. We thought it would be the premier restaurant at the resort. Well, it was NOT! The service on our first night was worse than terrible. The food was just ok. The second visit the service was much better, but my fish of the day, was so overcooked I was speechless. You go to an island and you expect great fish. This awesome of the worst fish dinners I ever experienced. The manager was professional and very nice, but I would still recommend no one to eat there until they fix obvious issues. A very beautiful, small, nice and quiet resort. The Chophouse needs lots and lots of work!

Beautiful quiet resort tucked away on the low rise with the biggest stretch of beach best service an all around perfect place to stay and unwind on the beach with a drink

All you need is right there. The beach is beautiful and more private than most. Smaller size resort but all the high end amenities.

My husband and I stayed in Aruba at the Manchebo for 10 days. this was our 11th year in a row and we would never go anywhere else. The beach is the most beautiful on the entire island. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and nice. Front desk personnel - Hami, Swinda and others are always ready to answer any question or need you have. Some extra touches we love: 1. Welcoming Mohitos after a 7 hours of flying. 2. A bottle of Champagne on ice in our room (a thank you for being loyal customers). 3. Coupons for free drinks, desserts, yoga, pilates. 4. The manager's cocktail hour on Tuesdays is also fun. 5.The same staff you get to know year after year. Manchebo has 4 restaurants and a spa on site. Few other hotels on Eagle Beach have this much selection. Omikase, a Japanese Sushi bar is truly exceptional. Mylene, the Sushi chef is awesome. Every bite was succulent. We went there for dinner twice. The recently renamed and remodeled Chop House was also superb. We also enjoyed dinner here twice. Harold and the other wait staff were very attentive and professional. The rooms are very clean and the floors are washed every day. Our maid Josefina was wonderful! Can't wait to go back

We had an excellent week with my husband. Excellent food and service

Hotel is the best. We usually stay at these big palatial hotels but this is a nice quiet boutique hotel with two levels. Perfect intimate size hotel where the staff remembers you and you become family. Perfect location on beach.

Second trip to Manchebo. Beach service was great but overall service did not seem as great this time. Food was ok but you can find much better elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel two times and we definitely will stay again the next time we go to Aruba.

It was an incredible place and the hotel was really nice. We came for the Rachel Brathen yoga retreat, and were extremely happy with the accommodations. This is a low rise hotel only like 70 rooms which we thought was nicer than one of the hi-rise vegas style resort hotels. We rented a car right at the front desk, and that was very convenient. We got to know the whole staff almost, Michael, Josephina, Freya, and everyone was great. You will not be disappointed.

Loved everything about this resort... Multiple restaurant options on site which offer affordable options for all times of the day... Huge white sand beach with more than enough seating to make you feel comfortable and never like you are sitting on top/too close to other people... Resort is very clean and well maintained with a staff that is always friendly and eager to help with any need/question that you may have. The resort is located about a 2 minute walk from a shopping area which included a market, shopping, and eating options...

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manchebo. The beach was large and the drinks were flowing. I would recommend this place to everyone. Spend a little more money for the All Inclusive, it is worth the care free feeling you will get at Manchebo. The beach is a little breezy but at times it feels just right when the wind blows across you in your beach chair. GO NOW!

Great resort. The staff was excellent. We did the all inclusive plan which at the end of the trip we did save money.

This was our second trip to Aruba, but our first stay at Manchebo. The staff was wonderful, attentive, and pleasant. The resort is small, which is what we were looking for rather than mega resort, and we could walk right out are deck to the beach, bar, poor, whatever. 5 star resort without the 5 star price. Will definitely make another trip and recommend for anyone looking for quite relaxing time with excellent service. Only negative was the Wifi service. Not very strong once you got away from the lobby and no where to plug in ethernet cable in the room.

This resort was close to the beach and you could hear the waves crashing outside and watch beautiful sunsets from the balcony. The staff and service at the resort was awesome!

This hotel is beautiful! Great beach space! The only downfall was the food (at Bistro) was terrible at a HIGH price!! Lobster tail was tough and tasteless and filet mignon was a cheap cut of something..maybe sirloin?? (I would skip the all inclusive at this resort.) Staff very attentive and kind. Bar was FANTASTIC!! Alot of fun with simple music each night.

My experience at Manchebo was good. Nice location if you dont like crowds. Couple of minor details that I hope the resort can correct. • There were stains on the long orange pillows. • Food is not accurately described on the menu. I ordered hot wings and it wasnt hot at all, just extremely salty.

Excellent food, a peaceful and quiet small hotel with the best beach in Aruba. But you need to know a few things before you book your trip. House keeping was very inconsistent, and you could never rely on the time. The breakfast was a little overpriced for what was offered. Additionally, something was wrong with the mattress (perhaps poor support) which resulted in us having a poor sleep each night. Also, we were there for a week and we only received one set of toiletries. Overall, if these things are not so important to you - all else was great and it is a very lovely place to stay!

I just returned from a wee stay at manchebo beach! It was amazing! Relaxing! Staff were great, always helpful and smiling. Tamara was our favorite staff . Her personality and genuine nature was fun to be around. Our only negative was with the car rental At the hotel. They were one hour late giving us the car. When we returned it we filled the gas tank up until it was full. The car service argued with us that the gas tank was not full and wanted to charge us 15.00 for gas, after talking to someone other employee on what to do. We felt it was a scam. Be careful!!!

This is the right place for a vacation that is filled with laying on a beach, drinking cocktails, in the sun or in the shade, swimming in beautiful turquoise waters. The gentle quiet breeze takes you far away from the stress, worry and responsibilities of everyday life. It is a resort that pays attention to the smaill details and that makes a guest feel special. (giving guests snack bags on the day of your departure and welcoming you with a cool drink) When we first arrived, they gave us a beautiful room with an ocean view, but two double beds, we quickly said this was not going to work for us because we are a married couple and we need a king size bed. They said they didn't have any available for that night, but in the morning they would fix that error and they did so, with grace. They moved all our things during the following day, into an even more beautiful room. So, the rest of our stay, at the resort was really great.!!! In moving forward, I would check to make sure that I specify king size bed or queen bed before I make a reservation online. The beach was beautiful, wide, clean and the water was spectacular. The only complaint I have is that this hotel has a spa on its grounds. the cabana where the massage is done overlooks the ocean a perfect setting for an amazing, relaxing massage. It did not work out that way. I had a deep tissue massage, the massage therapist was fantastic, however, the atmosphere of the spa was not a calm, quiet relaxing place at all. In my experience, a spa is suppose to be quiet, peaceful, meditative and zen place. This place was far from that with so much chatting, commotion and cell phone conference conversations that it seemed more like the trading floor of the Stock Exchange, then a spa. I don't blame the massage therapists, I hold the management or owner of the spa responsible for this. Management is not enforcing policies that would create the environment of a true spa. The fact that the spa was right on a beautiful beach is completely ignored and overshadowed by people who do not respect a peaceful and calm place, is not worth your presence or your money for a massage at this spa. A true spa incorporates all of the zen ingredients in order to create a total mind, body and soul experience. Any spa that does not offer or create the sanctuary of respecting the total mind, body and soul experience, is simply not worth it and does not have your well being at its core.

The beach, the restaurants (yummy food), the pool and especially the staff were all outstanding! The front desk employees were extremely helpful, professional and so-so friendly! The connected SPA was fabulous! We enjoyed relaxing massages in open air cabanas on the beach! WOW! From maid service to manager, Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa provided a perfect vacation for my daughter and me!
