Could not get thru to front desk. And if I did was put on hold. Eventually reached someone and I told them during a diaper change my baby had peed on the bed. They told me housekeeping was gone and they couldn’t do anything to help. Denied towels also because housekeeping was gone. Was laughed at when I asked about a military discount.
Staff was great! The overnight front desk staff (he) was helpful and very courteous.
Location
Quiet, near metro, great breakfast, staff was excellent
There was construction around the area but hot was excellent with friendly staff
We always choose Hampton. In 20 years, we've never had a bad experience.
It is conveniently located. The parking fee of $35 is a bit excessive being out of downtown Washington DC. Access to check-in is super inconvenient with a single parking spot to get your parking pass (Digital pass doesn't work. Also, I was bluntly told by the receptionist I shouldn't have checked in using their app since I booked through Orbitz and for that reason they put a hold on my credit card for another $1,100 which was insulting, considering the whole reason I checked in was because of THEIR app nag. Perhaps they should sort that out with their IT. There were unruly dozen or so teens riding up and down elevators and pressing all keys and placing chairs inside elevators. I informed the reception and they did nothing about it. Breakfast was just OK. Bananas are a hot commodity and they keep them hidden until you ask. The dining room staff is the best though, very friendly and pleasant. The showers were cold early in the morning, better a bit later on. Water pressure in showers was terrible - don't expect t take a good shower. The shower is so narrow, you have to stand sideways to be able to move your arms. Weird because the bathroom is roomy but it haS this absolutely gigantic wide door that is about a foot wider than the main entrance door - makes no sense. Due to this, the shower is small to accommodate this giant bathroom door. No daily cleaning unless requested - which is fine - just worth mentioning. No pool, even though both Orbitz and hotel show it
Nice place to stay. Only negative was the underground parking that cost $35 a night!
Hotel was good. Parking very expensive. Entrance and check in area very small. No restaurant onsite.
There was construction both inside and outside the hotel. The construction outside make some noise that we were not aware of. Overall the property was fine and the staff were very pleasant.
Buffet breakfast included. Difficult to find this amenity.
My partner and I were on a leisure traveled, the property was cleaned. The room was spacious & clean, staff were friendly and gave us advice on local restaurants within walkable distance. It was a 6mins walk to the metro station that conveniently got us in & out of DC without having to drive.
Overall not a good experience
Very nice stay and breakfast was so good!
Location to metro!! Room was new, very clean, comfortable bed and very quiet.
I like convenient the hotel was to the places we wanted to visit
When we came to the hotel to check in, we were told that they had “overbooked” and were “sold out” and referred us to a Hilton down the street. If we had not shown up eevwould have been charged a night’s stay for our reservation
I liked how clean the room was.

Hayley, it's regrettable to hear of your recent experience. Reaching the front desk should not have been such a challenge and it's unfortunate you didn't receive the service you were seeking. Ensuring access to essential amenities like fresh towels is a priority for us, regardless of the time of day. We regret the misunderstandings surrounding your request for a military discount. It's essential that our guests feel respected at all times, and laughing is certainly not the way to treat such a serious inquiry. Your feedback is invaluable, and we'll address your comments with our colleagues promptly. We look to provide a more smooth and enjoyable experience in the future.
