Stayed at AKS Hinitsa Bay for 4 days first week in Sep 2017. Staff helpful and professional. We chose a room with a sea view and we didn't regret that. Rooms have been recently renovated and they are good size. Breakfast was plentiful and included a good variety of food. The best thing about the place I think it's the beach. Very picturesque, clean and never felt crowded even when the hotel was fully booked. Probably the best beach in Porto Heli area. Pool is not huge but good size for the odd day that you don't fancy the beach. You need a car to explore nearby villages. The 15 min free massage was excellent and the girls from AEGEO did an excellent job (thank you Marianthi). It was our second visit there and we would definitely go back.
I was told this was a place to go and relax, and they were right. Best and most relaxing vacation i have had in years. The location is fabulous, its a bay and is closed off, the staff are all friendly and super helpful. The best is that there is so much to do for children in a safe environment that they keep busy for hours leaving you to relax and sip your frappe on the beach. we opted for the half board, and food was good. Prices for drinks and other food very reasonable. Greatly enjoyed and highly recommend for families who want to relax for a few days. Be sure to go to Spetses and try the neighboring fish restaurants .
It is a nice hotel but a bit overpriced and overrated. The rooms are ok and the personnel helpful and trying to assist. The food is not so good and especially the sweets and we had to wait for an hour to have our room ready.
This was our first time visiting Hinitsa Bay and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely professional and the rooms were nice. It is obvious that they have recently updated parts of the hotel. Our rooms were nothing grand but they were fine for the few days that we were spending there. The hotel property was vey nice and kept clean. Breakfast selection was good and view was even better. The pool was very nice as well as the beach which looked like the water was not clean but once you start swimming in the water is crystal clear. Overall we had a wonderful experience at Hinitsa Bay and i would recommend it for anyone traveling with children. We would definitely return.
We stayed at the hotel end of August beginning September 2017. We booked a seaside view room and we enjoyed it. Sitting on the balcony in the morning and in the evening was magnificent. Green and Blue everywhere! The staff were friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. The hotel is clean and I was under the impression that their maintenance team was doing a good job: no cement and stone chippings, no rust on metalic surfaces, and no burned out ligh fittings. The beach are caters for everybody. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the sandy beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas on grass, chairs and tables on the deck and comfortable stools round the beach bar. All these supplemented by excellent service. The breakfast offers a large variety ranging from freshly, on the spot, fried eggs to olives and tomatoes. We had reasonable lunches at the restaurant. The room was clean with basic furniture and a 32 inch TV. It was on the third floor was reasonably sized with a big double bed and an air-conditioning system that was responsive to our needs. Plenty of storage space and a spacious bathroom. Absorbing towels and a good supply of shampoos and shower gels. Although we had our own car for travelling around we noticed that there was a shuttle bus giving free ride to the centre of Portoheli. We also used the sea taxi from the hotel's pier to the nearby island of Spetses This is a hotel for relaxing and we hope to go back to it again.
The hotel is nearly NEW !! From the reception to the various Bars, to the swimming pool, to restaurants, to the magnificent BEACH, to our SW room everything is and looks fantastic!! Then the surroundings, the Green everywhere the view of the blue waters the Hinitsa Island, the boats the whole environment makes up the most pleasant experience one can have in His holidays!! Next year I will bring my whole family from Overseas to the hotel..!!
We visited the hotel beginning of August 2017. We had booked the family room which is a small room with a double bed for the kids. Our comments are the following: -room very small for the price paid overall -the view of the room was poor due to the fact that we were on the first floor and we mainly saw the huge terrace of the bottom floor -breakfast was very good with quality alternatives -dinner was very fine -food in the pool bar was very very good -bottle of water was OVERCHARGED!!!!! we had to go to Porto Heli to a super market to buy tap water -kids corner was nice and every night there was some event and kept kids busy and happy -the beach is a gem!!!!! -the tennis courts have too much sand on the terrain and you cant enjoy your play! -cleaning ladies, while changing sheets, probably dropped somewhere my lingerie....I asked for it....it was never found! overall a good experience!
This is my fifth time at Hinitsa. Remains good value and very convenient for large families. Good breakfast and good lunch. Good service. Good to see some investment in the property, new paint job, new deck at beach bar, upgraded carpeting and doors. Location excellent, very nice beach, great fish tavern short walk from beach, short drive to porto heli which has numerous good dinner options. One recommendation: the restaurant and beach bar receipts should have space to add a tip, otherwise impractical to do, and most staff really deserved it. Keep up the good service and we'll come back.
We were visiting with my boyfriend for a break the aks beach bar hinitsa bay. With my boy friend , we took sun-beds on the beach . We went to the bar where the ambiance is nice and music not so loud and the cashier smiling . We ordered two Greek coffees and 2 megalo (big) bottle . Price was ok 6,30€. Greek coffees was good. My boyfriend spoke some words with a waitress (cap girl ) . To the first step. Very kind, smiling and little bit friendly. Very nice sea, we went back to the beach to sunbath. The good feedback stop from now. From his sunbed my boyfriend ordered to the same girl two little bottles of water meanwhile I enjoyed the sea . Fast service. From the sea, I can see the waitress' hand to touch his shoulder . She smoothed her hair with her hand and was laughing a little bit to loud . She decided to leave when I starting to go outo the sea. I didn't ask any explanations, my boy friend told me everything , smiling ,that the cap girl flirted with him. We were laughing together from the situation but be careful to you girls . PS: We have some advantages , she is not no beautiful
I was trying to figure out what was wrong with this hotel and why it was below my expectations when I visited with my wife and our 2 children for one week between end of July and beginning of August. Finally its all the little things that matter and although at a first glance there is not much to complain about, the overall impression is just decent. So, beginning with the negatives here is a small list: - End of July – Beginning of August the place was way too crowded and this was particularly visible in the beach area and the breakfast/dinner area. We felt that we were part of a massive tourism business. Try to find an umbrella in the beach, try to find a table in the outside area of the breakfast/dinner area, wait in the queue for the elevator, etc. - Breakfast and dinner were just decent. (for example the “orange juice taste” drink was just not acceptable, the lack of chocolate croissants is at least strange despite the fact that you could have crepes with chocolate instead). The variety and quality of food although not small, could be larger and better. We had breakfast and dinner every day (it was part of our arrangement) and maybe once or twice we tasted something really nice. Of course nothing was bad but still.. - The playground area was full of sun all day long and without lights in the evening and night. - The entertainment for the children was just decent and not available all day long (we did not care that much since our children are too young to be entertained) - The pool and the pool area, again nothing out of the ordinary, just decent On the other hand there were also positives but you expect those things for this kind of hotel: - The personnel was very polite and helpful - Then rooms and the hotel in general were very clean - The view from the room and the restaurants was very nice - The beach bar was very nice and new next to the sea - If you pay for the half board (breakfast and dinner) the children can have free of charge a standard lunch as well, between 13:00 and 14:30! - The evening entertainment was nice (some dancers and some live music) Some tips - Book a room with sea view (is a bit more expensive but the room with mountain view see the parking place) the view is what you pay in this hotel - Go for a daily excursion to Spetses island, by taking the ferry boat or the standard boat from Costa (5 minutes drive from the hotel) - Visit the local “taverna” at walking distance out of the hotel - Go to Porto Heli for a walk or a drink (5 minutes drive from the hotel)
