Ummm well we heard about this place on Facebook. The pictures the have on there are very deceiving as they show a lot of pictures of the water park Kalambu. The prices are decent for what you get. Positives Rooms can fit a lot of people They have there own hot springs Close distance to Kalambu and Baldi Beautiful view of the Volcano Beds are okay Negatives Rooms need to be renovated (And I don't think it was just our room because we had 4 rooms in total) Far away from town The hot water in the room didn't work and lights were burnt out Overall the place is good. I didn't find the staff as "accommodating" as other people write in their reviews.

We had a family room for two nights, the kids love the hot spring swimming pools, the view right from the room and the property was just perfect. all the staff was very friendly and helpful arranging all the excursions

We were at sueño dorado for 3 nights and the place was great, the hot spings werw amazing, 5 swimming pools all with different temperature , my family really love this place, we had one big room for all 5 of us

If you want to check out all the fancy hot springs / bars, this place is walking distance. They serve traditional rice and beans breakfast or American styled eggs and such. It's quaint, decent air, clean, and the on premises hot springs aren't warm enough to overcome the rain. But Baldi is walking distance. At $150 / night, it's not a budget deal, but the service and cleanliness is nice. Housekeeping actually washed our clothes for us. Great location, good service, OK price.

We were for 2 nights at hotel sueño dorado, the view from the hotel was just amazing, you can see the volcano from any where at the property. nice gardens and the best the hot springs, 5 swimming pools 4 of them with hot water. very nice large rooms with a/c

^The Arenal Volcano area was maybe one of the nicest area in Costa Rica we have been to.a lot of activities to do, canopy, horse backriding, rafting and more. we arranged most of the tour at the front desk we where at Hotel Sueño Dorado for 2 nights, the hot springs at the hotel were great.

we were at the hotel at night for the hot springs, very nice pools with different temperatures , they must have around 5 different swimming pools with beautiful gardens, we had a few drinks at the bar close to the pool, the price for the beer was $2 which very good

Owner is very nice. We had delicious custom cooked meals two times a day. Facility was below average. Just need to have an open mind. We had the hot spring to ourselves, so it was great after a day of hiking. Ask for room 11. Overall experience was good.

The motel is situated about halfway between La Fortuna and the Volcano National Park. Taxis are required to go anywhere. The staff were polite and helpful (but sometimes a little slow). The rooms were clean. Our beds were a little hard. Breakfast was provided but, honestly, it was only so-so. The hot springs are more like hot tubs. Love the setting of the hotel. Wi-fi worked in one of our rooms, but not the other.

I read here that it's run by very sweet people but I was denied a towel at hot springs after various requests. It's not that it was busy they had to run out of towels, there were 3 people in total. Bring your own towel if you want to go to hot springs here
