Baldi Hot Springs Hotel and Spa

Fun place but for 125 USD a night, I expected better service. I had a leafblower in my face at 7:30am while at the pool and had to request a disposable razor and toothbrush. The 22 USD buffett was nothing special. Now the staff tell me it's standard to charge 7 USD for a taxi to take me 6 minutes to the bus station, which seems like the definition of a tourist trap. I don't usually splurge so I tend to be picky when I do. Next time I'll stay at a different place and try the public hot springs. I had amazing service at Cabinas Faro Arenal, a smaller accommodation nearby. (April 2017)

High quality everything. Our room was more than comfortable & spacious. All furnishings, linens, bedding, towels & etc were all high quality. The nicest place we have experienced in CR. The Springs were comfortable & inviting. We would go back again.

The hotel and Resort were both enjoyable and comfortable. Very relaxing.

We arrived about 4 hours before check-in, so they let us lock up our bags and enjoy the hot springs. So relaxing after 9 hours of traveling.

Great resort for a great price - hot springs on premises were amazing and there were many pools to choose from. Food was great though I recommend skipping the buffet and eating at the a la carte restaurant if you eat on premises. Drinks were very pricey and not amazing so going into town to get some drinks or bringing some back would be the way to go. Very family friendly and great views!

this place is AMAZING!!! absolutely astonishing and something everyone should experience. the hotel facilities itself are ok. the rooms are mediocre but the property is absolutely gorgeous. the hotsprings are absolutely breathtaking. One thing I wish they had was more available staff on golf carts to help people up and down the property since it literally resides on a mountain

I had great time in Baldi, surely I will return soon. The hot spring is so good and the site is clean. All the pools are clear stated with the temperature. I suggest visitors shall come Baldi. I get very rest. The service is wonderful and polite. Thanks

This hotel was an excellent place to stay. The amenities were above and beyond what we expected. Having access to the on-site hot springs was such an incredible experience as well as the waterslides into them. Also it had a great view of the volcano right beside you. I would highly recommend this resort to others and would more than likely return to stay there again in the future. We loved having nice cold beers & frozen drinks while enjoying the relaxing water around the premises.

The hotel rooms are a small part of the over all public thermal waters. Rooms are nice, the tub water drain seemed to be a little clogged, but besides that service was great. The thermal waters have different areas/pools, some open to the public, they pay a day admission.

The resort is beautiful although there are no natural hot springs as there are at Tabacon and Arenal hot springs. Everything is poured concreted. The water is still beautiful and some pools were really hot, which was very nice. There is a sauna in the "cave" area but it smelled like urine every time we went in the check it out. There is wifi but it seldomly works and when it does it is painfully slow. The worst part for me was the really, really, really loud dance music that goes well past 3am. I eventually fell asleep but paying over $300 per night and Baldi presenting itself as premium resort. I did not expect this type of party situation. I would not have booked here if i had known. I tried to call the reception several times but always no answer. During the day there are plenty of children in almost every pool and running all over the place. I think they should have personal hotsprings for people who pay to stay there but bus afyer bus would pull up with people with day passes and take over everywhere. They present themselves as a premium resort but are more of a water park by day and electronica dance club by night. I would never suggest to stay here unless you have kids and all of you can sleep through very loud dance music. Try Tabacon its a bit more money but worth every penny.
