We stayed at this property in late July. First, this property is huge, and the rooms are very private. The breakfast buffet is a gorgeous spread. The views are marvelous. We used both pools--and the thermal pool is nearly like a hot tub--amazing. One day we returned to our room, and much to our daughter's delight, the housekeeper had made a pig using blankets. We stayed one night at Arenal Observatory (closer to the volcano) and two nights here (closer to activities), and it was a great balance.

We had a wonderful stay at the Arenal Manoa. The property was plush and gorgeous and the view of the volcano was clear from every single room. We especially enjoyed returning from an adventurous day of activity to be able to relax in the hot springs pool.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and modernly decorated. Pools and grounds were clean and lush with plants. The included breakfast was delicious. We also tried the wood-fired pizzas by the pool, lunch (we chose grass fed beef burgers and sandwiches) and dinner (fresh seafood). Get the volcano dessert for a special surprise!

A great place to stay. Beautiful view of the volcano. Front desk guy was awesome..he gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do and drew us a map for our next destination;)

Spent the weekend in Arenal Manoa with family and it was very good. Great view of the volcano. Large rooms. A short drive to La Fortuna. Breakfast was ok.. It was cold. But overall we love it here and we will definitely comeback.

Loved it and see me and my wife going back next year

It's a smaller hotel, right on the skirts of the Arenal volcano. Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms & unique bathroom. The thermal pool was very relaxing at night, the cold swimming pool was refreshing during the day (both could be a little larger, might get a little crowded, but overall very nice, with an amazing volcano view). The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely go back.

The room was very nice, has an impressive bathroom and a little patio. It was very private. We got a really cheap rate for this place last minute. The hot springs pool alone is worth it! The breakfast was pretty extensive and had a beautiful view.

After a long trip from the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, arriving at Manoa was a treat! We loved our room, our terrace, our view (although the volcano was always foggy) and the staff. Everyone was very accommodating and professional. The location was central for doing most activities (ziplining, rafting, etc). Loved the happy hours (3 different happy hours across consecutive hours so you can go from one to the next). Food was great. But the service was what really made this place stand out - all staff went above and beyond! Would happily return at Arenal Manoa.

I pride myself in my research efforts when deciding on a vacation destination n lodging. I read pages n pages of reviews before making the final decision. My research paid off......The Arenal Manoa was beyond what I expected. The reviews were understated. I never imagined the views from my bed to be so breathtaking. To be awakened by conversations from various birds outside my window. Even the occasional downpour of rain had its on musical charm. The room was exceptional. Spacious with the most quaint bathroom. The Housekeeping staff were spot on. Every evening coming back from a Costa Rican adventure to a different towel animal was a highlight. Wifi signal nice n strong in room 217- when u need to connect to the world. Daily Breakfast was included with my stay. If it wasn't for me being a pescatarian, I would have immensely enjoyed all the goodies for breakfast. My limitations didn't allow. I did enjoy the pancake n omelette station. Did I mention the fresh sweetest fruit? Arenal Manoa was a one stop shop. They had a list of excursions that u could partake in for additional cost with reputable companies that they recommend. The front desk will book for u, ESP if there is a language barrier. And the excursion company will pick u up n drop u off right at the front desk. Now that's service. N it was always service with a smile. If ur vacation travels bring u to the Arenal Region of Costa Rica- look no more. It's a gem. Hurry n book.

Very beautiful property! It was peaceful and had a great view of the volcano. The staff was excellent! They were all helpful, very nice, and friendly. Loved the shuttle service. The pools were clean. I liked the swim up bars and the happy hours at the 2 pools at different times. The hot springs pool was relaxing after a day of adventures such as zip lining, white water rafting, or hiking.

No hot water in room. Complained 5 times with no result. Horrible customer service. We love costa rica but dont stay at this hotel as they dont care about their customers.

The hotel was perfectly fine...nothing great, but not bad either. There was a lot of kids....even in the adult pool/hot spring which was kind of annoying. The room smelled moldy, but imagine most rooms in Arenal might smell that way since it is like 90 humidity at all times. On the plus side, the staff was accommodating and was able to do a service for me free of charge that I otherwise would have had to pay for.

It was a wondeful trip. The staff was helpful. The food was ok but good

Hotel was nice clean and in a good location I will stay again!

great secluded place very good forest views good breakfast great views from balcony

Nice hotel, nice breakfast, clean room, great staff, hotspring pool smell not good.

Every room has a beautiful floor to ceiling view of the volcano. The glass doors were such an inspired idea. The staff was so helpful and welcoming. We loved the plant and skylight in our bathroom. The hot pools were amazing and the buffet breakfast was probably our most favorite thing. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone. The pictures don't do it justice.

Everything was nice. The only complaint I have is I had to call room service to get my room cleaned at 1:15pm. I think that was a bit late.

This hotel is beautiful and the view of the Arenal vulcano is the best! The room is comfortable, with TV and good WiFi, the staff is helpful and very nice. The only "but" is the fact that, if you do not have a car, you will be charged $12 each way to the town of La Fortuna, a less than 10 minutes ride. Other than this, the hotel exceded my expectations.
