Small, cozy property away from the mob scene in Cannon Beach, right off 101 so easy north-south. Excellent breakfast, very nice people.

I have stayed here several times and it has always been excellent. Better breakfast then most breakfast places. Wine and cheese,fruit,vegetable.. event in the evenings. A bit further from the ocean then some people might want. Great staff. Excellent bedding. Wonderful rooms with gas fireplaces. About a ten minute drive to some excellent restaurants and such in Cannon Beach. On busy weekends restaurants can fill up so you may want to make reservations.

Cheese, crackers, nuts and such with wine from 5 to 6 in the evening. Free breakfast in the morning is spectacular.

Very quite location. A bit further from the ocean then you might expect. Wonderful bed, sheets and comforter. Too many pillows on the bed which was easily solved by taking a few off. Spectacular multi choice breakfest. Much better then your average dinner joint. Excellent coffee which can be gotten in really large mugs. If the regular coffee isn't to your liking then they also use a single coffee cup maker thing with lots of choices. Also vanilla sugar water, hazelnut sugar water and honey along side the usual packet sweeteners. Very nice wine and cheese event at 5pm. About a ten minute drive to cannon beach for some excellent dinner options but on busy weekends you may want to call ahead for reservations. I would definitely stay here again.

extremely friendly and helpful staff. Happy hour was very nice. Breakfast always good! It’s a very old building and well maintained. Note: no AC, but we didn’t need it. Limited views of ocean across the busy street. It’s kind of hard to find as the signs are so small. Overall it was very pleasant and we particularly enjoyed meeting Paris, who served us breakfast.

Gourmet breakfast. Fantastic staff. Beautiful grounds.

We booked 2 nights in the Owners Suite after searching for "family friendly hotels". On our 2nd day, we received an email saying that they found we had a child with us (a 3yr old boy who was very well behaved), and that it was against their "no child" policy. They subsequently told us to contact Orbitz for rebooking for the 2nd night. I spoke to the manager, who confirmed this saying that it was the owners decision to kick us out due to their policy. We, of course, had no idea that this policy was in place. After reviewing the description on Orbitz, we found the no child policy at the bottom of the details. We were on a 2 week trip through Oregon, so packing up and switching hotels wasn't easy.. and Orbitz was horrible through the process, keeping me on hold or with various agents for over 1.5 hours.. this inevitably ruined the 1 full day we had in Cannon beach. We ended up moving to the Inn at Cannon Beach, which was a MUCH better place. Afterwards, I discovered that the Arch Cape Inn charged me for both nights, despite being kicked out. Orbitz contacted them for the refund, and they DENIED it - so I've been stuck with paying for this place PLUS the new hotel. This is not over, and I'm continuing to try and get my money back. I understand that they have a "no child" policy, however I'm appalled at the horrible customer service they exhibited by forcing us to leave instead of just letting us stay one more night.

First time at a Bed and Breakfast and it will be our last. The most important criteria to us was the ocean view, and the Ginger Room is listed as having an outstanding ocean view. However, there was no view but green bushes. Per the staff, their hedge had grown 4 ft too tall to see the ocean from our room. They admitted to having other complaints, but no solution was offered and you got the feeling that she did not have the power to offer any. It also was a very hot week in Oregon, they had no air conditioning and offered only a very small fan. The only option was to leave the windows open all night to the highway noise. The free breakfast was only at 9 a.m., which is noon eastern time, and long after the beautiful sunrise on the ocean several miles away. We missed the fact when booking that you had to arrive by 6 p.m., until we read reviews about others who had a problem getting in, so we had to forego our original itinerary as we came down the coast. On the flip side: The room was very clean, a bit dated but decorated nicely. The common areas and garden were charming.

Dear Howard, Thank you for visiting us during your travels to Oregon. We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, reservations made through third party websites (OTA's), such as Orbitz, must be handled by them. We clearly communicate our reservations policies to OTA's. However, we have no control over the way any of the OTA's manage information when creating a third party contract with its clients, such as yourselves. If you felt misled or confused, we recommend that you contact them again directly for assistance. Stephen Malkowski - Owner
