I usually don't walk around a hotel taking pictures, but this hotel was so filthy, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I have included some of those pictures so you can see for yourself. Do not waste one cent of your money at this place! Positives first! Decent location, close to restaurants, stores, taxi's, and a short walk to a crowded local beach (the better beaches are about a 7JD taxi ride away). When we arrived, there were no towels, no chairs, and only one deflated pillow each in the room, the pool area on the roof was disgusting. We went to the front desk to complain, and they were very receptive. We were given towels, pillows, chairs, and the next day someone was sweeping up by the pool. There is a bread pudding on the breakfast buffet that I found quite good. Negatives. So many! Rooms - filthy, period! The bathroom was grubby, the beds were tired, it's dark and dingy, the floors were sticky. I didn't even want to take off my shoes! There were no chairs (I like to write), when I asked about chairs, I was told they were not in the rooms because children may fall from the balcony! The pillows were flat, the bed hard, the sheets old and worn. The towels were grey, worn, and falling apart. Even my husband (who never complains), said "if we had these at home, they would be in the garage as rags!" The wifi was free, but spotty (not a big deal), the minibar fridge was barely cool, and would not have kept drinks cold at all. Breakfast - awful! Yes, there is bread to toast, boiled eggs, some pastries, cocktail wieners (for sausages). We made do. The dishes were dirty, and by dirty, I mean I was going through several, picking off dried food to find a clean plate. The breakfast area is messing, food on the floor, not at all pleasant. Yes it was included, but that is no excuse. Eat the bread pudding, pass on the rest! Hallways - there are filthy, stained, peeling carpet squares in the hallways. They need to be removed period! The lovely plants that are hanging, are actually quite pretty from a distance, but heavy with dust on closer inspection. Roof top - One patio chair is available, the rest are in a broken heap in the corner. The larger pool had a dirty towel floating in the bottom. The roof top had not be swept or cleaned in months I'm sure. The playground equipment was in a state of disrepair. The seating area was beyond disgusting with cigarette butts, old dirty coffee cups, dirty clothing, and garbage lying around everywhere. The bathrooms were permanently locked, and the shower area was dirty. Lobby- first of all, a security guard sits at the front door with a luggage scanner and metal detector. Not once, not once, did he ask us to walk through the metal detector or scan our luggage. Although he was polite, I'm not sure why he was there. There is also a desk in the lobby to promote tours in the area. Although it would have been great to speak to someone, there was never anyone at the desk. My husband and I had booked into this hotel for three nights. We were both equally disgusted. This is definitely not a 4 Star hotel by any kind of standards. I am not typically a 5 Star type of person, but this hotel is way below my standards. Spend a little more and stay elsewhere! I would never set foot in this place again!
We Were booked for a 7-Day holliday from the 8th until the 15th of april. We came late evening, and went straigth for the rooms, the elevator wsa really old and didnt feel very safe, Opend the door 2our room, was greeted by a smell of sewer from the room, We found out it was from the faulty wash, the room was so dirty that We didnt watt take our shooes of, out on the terrance there were no furnitures!! Well We took a Night there and went Down for breakfest, OMG, there was amazingly enough yet more dirty. The content was very poore so We Got the last 4pcs of toastbread, sold out!! 1cop of coffe, again no more there, all the service was dirty and sticky. Tried to be possitve so We went topside to see the Nice pool area, it was a joke, We were chocked, there was waste everywhere, 1 sunlounger to the hole hotel, and in the little separate pool sombody had thrown in a chair. That was the drop,We had to leave the hotel, fortuanately our jordanian contact person was a very straigt up guy, who could relate to all our complaints, and helped us to find and love to another hotel in Aqaba. So now We are 600jd shorter, but We ended up with a good holiday in Jordan, thanks moven Pick aqaba Buttom Line: We bougth a stay at a 4***hotel, We were so wrong would NOT recommend the place to anyone. We Can support our story with good pictures....... Br Casper&Karina Denmark
Mediocre at best. Breakfast was worst we experienced in Jordan and Egypt. Not much variety. Dining room dark and flatware felt greasy. Food tasteless. Beds and pillows good. Room kind of shabby. Seen better Days Inn in the States. Location excellent. Recommend a step up.
disadvantages: the roof (where the pool is ) is not clean room service (cleaning) has some delay and some mistakes such as forgetting to put towels and so on the room bar is not free restaurant service is not good there is no water at the breakfast (which is very odd and weird) I hate the curtain in the bathroom that separate the bathtub from the toilet this all what I remember It is not bad overall
The hotel has a very interesting design! Good rooms, some are still under renovation. By summer they told me the whole hotel will be renovated. Staff very friendly, service is fast, a food is okay. Recommend place for travelers wanting a 4 star hotel.
Upon your arrival at the hotel, a person can immediately notice the warm welcoming that all the employees greet you with. They say Marhaba to you, which in Arabic means welcome, or Hello. One employee takes your luggage to your room, as you check in with a different employee from the hotel. You can immediately notice the beauty and proper upkeep, and cleanliness in this hotel. There is a large ceiling skylight near the check in area with green flowers dangling from the ceiling to the ground....it's so beautiful it's as if it's a scene coming from a movie, Walha, which is Arabic means I swear. The rooms, as well as the entire hotel, has been fully renovated with a rooftop deck swimming pool with views of the Red Sea. The rooms have new bathrooms, flooring, up to date modern lighting, flat screen television, and new comfortable beds! So comfortable I don't even want to get up to have breakfast at the buffet downstairs! The hotel is walking distance to everything in Aqaba such as at least 10 restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and of course this amazing candy store you must check out! This should really be a 5 star hotel!
