great place to stay and affordable! super, comfy beds and peace and quiet await your stay! this hotel should be rated higher than it is!!!!!! It offers a hot breakfast with a huge variety of food, not just a cold bagel or some corn flakes.
We did not have prior arrangements, but getting a room was no problem. Friendly service, quiet hotel. Had a great night's sleep with great beds and pillows. Breakfast was great for a hotel. Very clean dining area and rooms. Would gladly stay again if in the area.
When we checked in to our room, we let our 10-month-old daughter play on the floor. We were shocked when we noticed that her pajama feet were black from the carpet. We found pubic hair in the bathtub and black mold on the wall. When we notified the desk clerk, he called the manager, who offered to clean the room the next morning before we checked out. That was ridiculous. We got a 50 percent refund. The health department should be notified of the mold.
After booking 3 nights online, I had difficulty with the website so called the hotel directly to add on. Wish I had just called them to begin with. Courteous and pleasant – and a better rate than online! Our room faced out the back of the hotel which had a lovely view of the Blue Ridge Mountains – nice in daylight, but they became magical at dusk and when fog rolled in just before/after a rainstorm. The bathroom is large, the closet area small. We were surprised that the desk lamp and bedside lamps were not more modern with electrical outlets right at the base. It would have been nice to plug in our CPAPs and charge our phones that way as in other hotels nowadays. Having a Keurig to make our coffee was nice, and I kept creamers in the room fridge instead of just using the dry packet stuff. The hotel is convenient to the Walmart, two banks in front of the hotel, and gas stations.
One of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on. Also woke up to a tasty breakfast in the morning. Wish the air conditioner was a little quiet, but the room was very cool and since the visit was in the middle of the summer for a wedding, it was nice to come in to a nice, cool room.
This was the first time my friend and I had stayed here. All the staff was friendly (with the exception of the Lady in the Breakfast room). I said Good morning! & she mumbled something & frowned the whole time we were there. I didn't expect a "Red carpet". (smile) but she could have been friendlier. The Breakfast choices were real good, with the exception of the biscuits (doughy). Other than that.. the room was very clean, the beds were Great! (It was so comfortable, I didn't want to get up!) ; ) Would definitely stay here again! 10 STARS!!!!
Our law firm reserved a room for an attorney and inquired about the use of a complementary conference room. We booked the two night stay and the conference room with no mention of a fee for the conference room. After checking out and being given a bill for $275 for the two nights stay, the next day we received an additional $1003 charge to our visa. When we made multiple calls and finally were able to speak to Kathy, a manager, she simply argued with me. She could not produce any contract or record where we agreed to pay this fee. When I asked to speak to the GM, Robert, her boss, she hung up on me. BEWARE of this hotel!
I am here quite often and the staff is very accommodating. Always will try there best to find you a room. Rooms are very clean and suites are quite large. By far the Best choice in this area. Hotel is always crowded but stays surprisingly quiet.
This is a great place to stay. Rooms nice, clean, bathrooms new, and a great morning breakfast. The king room has a sofa, table and two chairs, refrig and microwave. Such a nice detail which makes the room so much more comfortable!
Recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent every day. Full hot breakfast including biscuit, gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, cinamon rolls, fruit, yogurt, etc... Would recommend this hotel.
