Spent four nights of sheer pleasure at this hotel. All the staff were efficient, helpful and polite. The rooms were clean with adequate furniture, beds very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal always had a varied menu and well presented, with excellent service by young waiters and waitresses but well supervised. This hotel is ideally situated to tour Northen Ireland.
This was first time in NI and were booked into the Belfast Loughshore Hotel as part of coach holiday. Were met by duty manager who welcomed everyone and even carried our case to room. All staff were good and at first evening meal the same duty manager came and sat at every group table and introduced himself and hotel. Later in the week he also entertained us by singing and telling of jokes. The food was excellent at breakfast and evenings and rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were also well appointed and beds were huge. The hotel caters too for large wedding and conferences as well as small groups and is highly recommended.
Pleasant staff, very convenient location on a main road for a business stay - bar food is fine, and its very clean, with a comfy bed, and a cosy temp in the room. I didn't have breakfast. Loads of free parking. The only downside was slow wi fi I would stay again
Just returned from a wedding at the loughshore hotel . The hotel is spotless and I thought the decor suited each area of the hotel that we used . The room used for the ceremony was lovely and had an ambiance that was just right . The private reception bar was well organised ,well staffed and the buffet was well appreciated. The main room for the wedding meal was stunning ,well laid out and the master of ceremony was in full control of the the whole event . We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel the food was always excellent from breakfast to dinner ,both in the restaurant and the bar . There is hotels you go to where the staff are helpful and polite. In this hotel they are not only helpful , polite, but extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel .
What can only be described as THE best wedding!! And what amazing staff they made the whole experience memorable and not your average hotel wedding. Niall in particular was amazing .... special thanks to all the bar staff! Legends! 😘
Stayed with a large coach party and was pleasantly surprised at good choice of base. Although 20 minutes from Town centre it provided a comfortable short stay. The DBB provide good choices of food although the service was a bit erratic with new young staff each evening. The bar was pleasant although some discreet background music would have improved the ambience.
I used to work in this hotel years ago was always such a good place to so sad to hear it's gone down hill I think by the sound of it the staff need fully trained and all need to go on customer service course by the sound of it
Visited the hotel for a Clan Gathering. The hotel general manager was absolutely the best. He interacted with guests and treated his staff with respect. He performed magic tricks for the kids and did a superb job, above and beyond, his expected duties. He made us feel welcome and comfortable.
We stayed for one night and had a lovely welcome at reception. The room was very clean and comfortable with nice Décor and all amenities including an Iron and ironing board. We had an Evening meal in the restaurant and couldn't fault the food - good portions and well looked after by the staff.
The hotel is very nicely decorated throughout although attention to detail has been missed in some areas! Eg the bath does not have handles to assist with getting in or out ( the shower is over the bath) accident waiting to happen! No separate toiletries, all in one squeezy bottle half way up wall ie shampoo/shower gel/soap all in one container. When in bath impossible to reach !! We did not eat in hotel but went to the bar in the evening for the entertainment which was very good. We were asked to order our 'last order' drinks at 11.40pm which we did. A very unpleasant waitress ( hair up in messy ponytail and glasses ) asked us at 11.50pm to drink up and move out to Lobby where the residents bar was open as they had to clean up. I said we had just got our drinks and we would leave in a few minutes as I was waiting on my Father returning from bathroom. She huffed and puffed around us making us feel extremely uncomfortable. What she fails to realise is that people have paid £116.00 per room and expect to be treated with common courtesy!! Their bar is supposed to stay open until 12 and they should allow guests time to finish their drinks, otherwise don't offer last orders just so you can get shut up and leave early!! She also told us lies in saying that residents bar would be open for guests, we went out to lobby and all shutters were down with no staff to be seen. Other guests were also in the same situation. The night porter then told us that the waitress had told us wrong information, that they had to wait for an hour until a private function upstairs had cleared out, before they could open the bar to residents. It was the attitude of the bar staff that annoyed us most of all, no respect for guests, couldn't wait to usher people out with a face like thunder. If staff do not want to work in the hospitality trade, get a new job as you are putting people off staying in an otherwise nice hotel.
