That was the comment from our 7 & 5 year old! It was the second trip for us so we knew what to expect but WOW just WOW. It was even better than we thought it would be. The tone is set at the airport with their fast pass through immigration. When you're traveling with young children that is much appreciated. We were sitting around the pool in no time. The service, the food, the rooms, the hotel management, its the small details which makes this place heaven on earth. We'll be back.

One our best beach holidays ever. The staff, totally charming and helpful. Our room very well sized, very well fitted with wonderful sea view. The beach is perfect, quiet, soft sand warm sea, good water facilities. The half day boat tour was first class. Food good enough in all regards but pricey. We would say worth mixing up meal times by going out. All very good except Sheer Rocks was a let down, loved Pillars. A really great trip and going out of season was a bonus as the room rate is very competitive. Something else we liked was that the hotel want precious with the guests, very casual but really well delivered. As said, pretty much faultless.

Fantastic location , beautiful beach and great food . Stayed for 5 nights and every meal was perfect . Friendly staff . Snorkelling in the bay , saw sting rays and turtles . Great water sports too . Rooms have a wonderful view out to sea

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and my 70th at Carlisle with four of our family We arrived after all the BA problems at Gatwick to Paradise we were welcomed by Tony and shown immediately to our Ocean suites followed by rum punches on the beach. Dinner was fantastic and the cocktails amazing, by this time we were all really happy!. Carlisle goes out of it way to make you feel relaxed . Children are catered for they have a kids club at the far end of the beach and we did not hear a peep out of any children except joyful laughter. There is a full operational gym, spa, yoga on the beach Pilates The is a daily bulletin of activities which you are given on arrival so you may choose your activities Water sports are free and we took advantage of all the facilities. we booked the all inclusive option, which includes service and tax most alcohol was included except fine wines and spirits nothing was too much trouble the staff have a great attitude with efficient service, we were in heaven we were given VIP treatment at the airport and transfers were handled by Maureen at St James travel the service was sublime, thank you so much! If you are considering Antigua, you will not be disappointed in this beach resort . Look out for the wonderful array of beautiful coloured sox that Michael wears, it made me smile Late check out was given freely thank you so much for making our week with you so special, we will be back!

Just returned from yet another visit to Carlisle Bay Resort. If you want a relaxed vacation there is nowhere better. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and simply furnished - no unnecessary clutter. You can relax on your own terrace /balcony which is furnished with a day bed and table & chairs, great place to start the day with breakfast, the only distraction might be the tiny birds or maybe a small gecko. The view is spectacular - palm trees, beach and sea, all a few steps from your room. If you are lounging on the beach you will be served a complimentary fruit skewer and in the afternoon an ice lolly (made from fruit puree - delicious). This is followed by afternoon tea served between 3.30 and 5.00. In between the staff will bring you drinks and food whatever you order. The staff are very friendly but do not expect express service (this is the Caribbean). The food in the restaurants is better than ever, particularly the Jetty Bar which I think is much better than a year ago. John Rogers and his team are doing a great job,. special mention to Michael Eutrope - Guest Services Manager. Very much hoping this team can stay together so the hotel has more continuity than in the past. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a wonderful week as a family (with adult children in their twenties) at Carlisle Bay. Everything was absolutely amazing - from the cleanliness of our suite to the delicious food to the friendly, warm and helpful staff. (We really enjoyed our conversations with all of the people we visited with who work at Carlisle Bay, and since we did not explore outside of the resort, the folks we talked with gave us a feel for the culture of the island.) This resort is special because it is simple and elegant, not glitzy or pretentious at all It is expensive, and a few of the evenings we wished there were less expensive options for dinner! (I'd suggest to the resort that they create an option for evening soups, sandwiches, and salads at a lower price point.) Truly, it may sound corny to say, but our experience was magical! We were sad to leave this beautiful place and the sweet, down to earth people who work there. Clearly, the employees are trained in extraordinary customer service, but almost every one of them seemed sincere in their attempts to make us comfortable. We really, really loved our time at Carlisle Bay.

My husband and I went visited Carlisle Bay in late May. The weather was stunning and the hotel beautiful. We have never experienced such kind, personalised service. Everyone on staff - from housekeeping to the spa to the dining service members and management, was a dream. The room (we had the Ocean suite) was clean, modern and perfectly situated between the restaurants and facilities. The food at the restaurants was outstanding and they have a great sommelier, Michael, who helped us pick the perfect wines to complement our meals. I also organised a private dinner on the Jetty to celebrate my husband's birthday and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We can't wait to go back to Carlisle Bay - I've been raving about it so much that my dad wants to surprise my mother with a trip there!

Stunning hotel amazing bay staff just couldn't do enough for us, beautiful bay ,,,, rooms lovely spotless and good absolutely wonderful food I would definitely re visit this hotel the friendliest was the best I've ever !!!! Had at hotels around the world!!!

Stunning place, food was wonderful, rooms were spacious and very clean, could not fault the setting, but most of all to me the staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for you, they made the holiday. If , at this time of year you want a quiet get away from it all holiday I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. My only regret is we didn't stay long enough

Fabulous location, excellent rooms, fine food and wonderful staff - the ingredients for a memorable holiday! We will definitely go back. On a practical note however some points to consider - stairs to rooms can be tricky especially after a shower and could be troublesome for some; prices on food and beverage excludes service charge and local taxes which adds significantly to cost; the hotel is a 15 minute drive from the nearest local restaurant (a 30 to 40 US dollar drive in total) - this means prices in the hotel's own restaurants are expensive! Nevertheless taking all into consideration this hotel deserves a high recommendation and I am happy to provide one!
