Converted from an old mansion, it is one of the best boutique hotels in the old Antalya city surrounded by the historic walls. It is at a 5 minute walk from the spectacular sea side of the old city, and a 15 minute walk from the downtown.
wow that was so old fashion boutiqe hotel middle in the center i feel like it at home so lovely decoreated and location perfect wht u accept if u pay that money only i was not happy about breakfast but hotel like ur home.
We thought we arranged an airport pickup with the hotel manager for 40 Lira (the actual cost of a cab from the airport), but when we got there he wanted to charge 40 Euro (3.5x the price), because of the effort he made in booking a cab for us. One of those people who can turn on their charm when needed but aren't very nice at heart.
We really enjoyed our stay at Reutlingen Hof. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough. Breakfast was good and we loved the outdoor terrace. location is just great, right in the heart of Antalya's old city, just a couple of minutes to the beach, restaurants, bazar... Staff was able to speak english and german and tried to help us with booking trips, information, cabs...
My wife and i stayed here in June. We've stayed at B & B's across turkey and I must say that this Hotel was an awful experience for the both of us. We're not difficult to please as travelers but this experience went down in the history books. Check in was long and tedious, full of mistakes. Food and beer prices were extortionate. The staff were completely incompetent and the man in charge at 5:30am in the morning was abusive in is his behavior towards us getting out to catch a flight as if we disturbed him. If I could save you the trauma of a stay in this hotel, even for one night, I would like to do that. I would rather sleep in my rental. Please ignore other positive posts as I can assure you, you can do better than Reuteling Hof.
Stayed in a traditional Ottoman room (we were told) with a double bed on a platform at window height to catch the night breeze. Tricky for midnight bathroom runs, but comfortable and fun. Life outside the window goes on late into the night and open windows mean mosquito bites, but there was a/c (tho we didn't figure out how to turn it on and it was too late at night to hunt down someone to ask). Had we planned ahead and gotten it turned on, I'm sure all would have been fine. Breakfast was simple, but good and we were served 30 minutes before official breakfast time. Very pleasant staff - not sure if English would have worked there. German was the language of choice. Location was outstanding - lots of nightlife options right outside the door and plenty of eateries, walking routes, and shopping.
We booked this hotel for our last minute vacation and were prepared by the previous guest reviews Came to the hotel and went to the room right away (rainy day) , the night shift staff is very friendly and helpful , thank you Room was lovely and had everything we needed Hotel location is top , 1 min to beach through the restaurant and anywhere else is easy to get to So our problems were that the bed was very hard for my partner and we wanted an alternative room or at least check out the beds, but the boss was unfriendly with his response "No one before us had complained... and put the couch pillows on your bed as solution" Well that didnt work well and switching the rooms was not possible due to being fully booked (fyi several booking sites offered us rooms in the hotel while we were there) so that was a lie Ok ok, life is tough and hotel business is not easy and economic thinking may get you through some tough times but being somewhat rude to the customers doesnt help you at all So the next thing was that at some point a sweater and 50 € disappeared from our room, the cleaning staff was very thorough with our luggage ; at first it was nice but quickly turned into an annoyance and privacy invasion when the staff folds your shirts and stuff and puts it back in your luggage ; well we cant proof anything but we are very certain that we didnt misplace the sweater and didnt spent the money And last thing is the noise ; we are ok with the bars and clubs, no biggy; but nowhere it is mentioned that the mosquee is 10 meters from the hotel; i myself enjoy a visit to mosquee once in a while so i love to listen to the imam but everyday at 5am directly next to our room with thin glass is too much ; you wont be able to sleep because the imams in kaleici are somewhat artistic about their prayer and actually sing it (istanbul prayer is a lot more spoken) so its like 5-10 minute prayer, which is too much and ear plugs are no help So in short if you are very easy going like us spent a little more money and go to a different hotel
We choosed this hotel becase of location and wanted to stay in historic place in small cozy hotel not very far from the beach. But it was not good at all. 1) Hotel is very dirty. Cleaning girl does her work very bad. I think she is extrimely lazy and other staff always quarrel with her. When i came to room i saw bathroom was dirty like nobody cleaned there after ppl! So, i should ask and wait when she will do her work. And after in all days i could not feel that room is really clean:( Bad old smell in rooms. No shampoo no bath gel. Only soap near basin what is long time expired. 2) Breakfast is poor. Every day is the same: boiled eggs (in a bad way), olives, tomato, cacumber, sausage, 2 cheese, bread, apples and sometimes omlet, tea, instant coffie. And only 1 day was nothing missed when we came to breakfast . Normally they doesnt have eggs already. So we should ask and wait. 3) No refrigerator in room! No air-conditioner remote control! If you want aircon on you need to call on reception every time. And its no garantee that they will not turn it off when they wants. Cause i think they try to economize. 4) Manager of the hotel not friendly. Woman on reception can not speak english at all. This girl who clean is lazy. Only one guy who stay on reception at night is the most normal. 5) They have rule that you can bring NOTHING to room like drinks, food. You can not bring even water. Lol. You should buy it in the hotel. Dont know who gave 3 stars to this place i think its totally starless hotel. Never will come back, never will advise to go there.
If you're looking for a cheap, clean place to stay in a great location, then this is the hotel for you. It is a 5 minute (at most) walk from Mermeli beach (10 TL to visit for the day, enter through Mermeli restaurant) and in the center of Old Town with tons of options for shopping and eating. The owner/manager was very friendly and welcoming. Our rate included free wifi and a very basic breakfast. We were in a family room first, which was hard to keep cool because of the size but when moved to a smaller room, the air conditioning worked VERY well. One downside was the noise from the street and surrounding bars.
When booking the hotel, it was advertised as a 4 star hotel, with fridges in every room and Air conditioning. Definitely not a 4 star hotel by any standards. only a couple of room had fridges in them. air conditioning was in every room, but was controlled by management, you had to ring them in reception to have them turned on/off, and you had no control over the temperature. As they turned them off during the night, you kept on waking with the heat, and have to ring down to reception to have them turn it back on again. Breakfast started at 8am and finished at 10am, if you did not get there at 8am there was nothing left, definitely not plentiful either. Rooms were basic and clean. Outside area dated and scruffy looking.
