Red Roof PLUS+ Ann Arbor - U of Michigan North

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The room was pretty shabby - mildew in the shower. Beds felt super worn out and it did not seem like it was well taken care of or cleaned well.

Pillows and bed are very uncomfortable. If you have allergies to animals, beware! Pets are allowed and may cause you problems if your room had a previous furry guest.

Basic inexpensive lodging. Nothing fancy. Slow check in, nice staff

Red Roof Inn Plus is on par with quality, affordable hotels. The wooden-style flooring adds a touch of class, the beds were comfortable, and the decor was modern. We forewent the breakfast at Bob's Big Boy because we heard that the coupon only covers basic items.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. The rooms area always clean and the beds large and comfortable. It is well worth the extra money for the delux room, which is very open and well laid out. The hotel is just off the highway, but not so close as to be kept awake by noise from traffic. There are several restaurants, shopping centers and boutiques near by. Very close to U of M and U of M hospitals

Had to locate a hotel at the last minute and this was an excellent value for the price. Room was nicely furnished and clean. Lots of plugs for all of your devices. Conveniently located just off the highway with drugstore and grocery store close by. Window faced away from the highway so there was virtually no highway noise.

No complaints about cleanliness or service. The room had a bathroom sink outside the bathroom in the bedroom. Very poor design. Not only was the sink in the bedroom it looked like they put it in as an after-thought. The sink was placed on top of the counter and not sunk into the counter as every other sink is installed in the USA. The sink was 6 to 8 inches higher than a normal sink making if difficult for a short person to use.

The hotel was great and the staff was wonderful...I had spent a long day at UMHS with my husband and it was so nice to just relax...would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay, it was short (one night only) but it met all of our expectations. The room was clean, fresh, and updated with nice features. It was a relaxing atmosphere and was a great location as we were visiting our college student in Ypsilanti and it was just a few miles down the road.

We stayed here because it was so convenient location-wise. I was a little taken aback by the "hard-wood floor." I would have preferred carpeting. On the plus side, we had a microwave, mini-fridge, nice tv and hair dryer. The staff was super friendly.

Great for a quick stop in Ann Arbor. Not far from the north campus of University of Michigan.

It was a last minute reservation for the holidays, but the hotel had rooms available. We had a nice room with a large king bed that was very comfortable. It's a good location close to North Campus and a very easy drive to other parts of campus as well. Easy access to restaurants, including being within delivery range of Pizza House. The breakfast at Big Boy isn't really worth it because you can only get like 2 pancakes or a mere $3.50 off your bill, but it's at least conveniently located attached to a restaurant.

Great bargain. Clean as expected. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Would come back to again.

this was a great location for our family trip. unfortunately the hotel/motel was subpar. the room smelled like smoke, bed was uncomfortable, shower was small. we ended up switching hotels and stayed at a hilton that was 5-10 minutes away. i would avoid this place unless you are on an extreme budget and can endure their 'amenities.'

Manager went out of his way to accommodate people and move the long line quickly. Check in was a little sketchy but the room was super nice, comfy, clean, pretty decorations. I felt very cozy and at home. Definitely staying here again!

The room was very clean...Staff was friendly...Good location....

The choice for travels on a budget, far away from the center tho, the room i cozy and it is what makes it called PLUS!

I only stayed for a night, but the people I interacted with were very nice and friendly. Nothing crazy, but I was surprised with how nice it was regarding the price. The only reason for the 4-start is that the bathtub was not squeaky clean (it wasn't dirty, but not the cleanest thing I saw)

A little bit run down, though they have clearly been updating it and it has a number of unexpected modern features--nice non-carpet floors, a new sink, nice beds. It's far from campus and surrounded by sprawl, but near major traffic arteries. We stayed on the night of a special event and they were clearly taking advantage of it with their rates: at least twice what I would have expected. It was clean and quiet though, so suited the need well.

I rented a vacation apartment and was surprised to find that the bed was in disarray. The host of the apartment was out of the country and I was out of somewhere to stay for 3 days. What was a girl to do? I made a same day reservation. The room was clean and had a pleasant smell. The hardwood floors have the room a homey feel. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet at night. The air conditioner kept the room at a comfortable 68 degrees although it was upwards of 80 degrees outside. I had a refrigerator and microwave at my disposal. This hotel is about a 15 minute car ride to the University of Michigan main campus. Although my arrangements were made at the last minute, they were perfect! I would highly recommend this hotel.
