The internet didn't work and the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Big kitchen but not one cup, plate or utensil?

Hotel was hot and noisy and desk clerk was too busy to be working alone. No amenities for kitchen or room were actually in the room, you had to ask for everything at the desk. Dishes, pillows, towels, etc. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay, but you can request it for a fee. I have never heard of that. Overall stayed one night and left to another hotel for the next 3 nights. also, the lobby smelled like cleaning solution in check in, and the continental breakfast and coffee was unacceptable.

Staff was not available most of the time. They didn't seem to know how to handle things. It was freezing in the hallway. No Coffee was made by 7:30 on Fri morning. Microwave was filthy.

I simply needed a one night stay to rest my head. I choose this hotel because it was the most inexpensive in the area I was searching for. I was impressed that in addition to the standard bed, tv, and bathroom with tub that all hotels offer, there was a fully functional kitchen with full sized fridge and freezer, sink, cabinets, stove and any dishes or utensils that may be needed along with a small table and chairs. The room was clean and my sleep was extremely comfortable. The hotel staff was average- not horrible or excellent, but I only had to interact with them twice- during check in and check out. Also this hotel is located in a large circle surrounding a mall and many restaurants so food and shopping are all within walking distance. Overall great price for space if you're just looking for a comfortable place to sleep.

A pretty average place in all aspects. They were a little skimpy on their "breakfast" and had some shady characters hovering around the front desk area at night. The staff was very nice. Everything was pretty clean.

We waited too late to book a hotel in Ann Arbor for a football weekend, and had no choice but the Extended Stay - next time we will simply look outside of Ann Arbor. Desk help was indifferent at best, except for Anthony who was very pleasant. Room was never cleaned though we asked for housekeeping and agreed to the additional $3/day for the service (yes, you have to pay extra for housekeeping.) Carperting throughout hotel was filthy, upholstered chair in room equally gross.

I enjoyed my stay here as it is located in a convenient spot. The staffs are friendly although not many on site. Internet connection fee is nothing. You should bring your own soap and shampoo. Cleaning is not included, but I think it is OK with this price. Avoid game days as the fee easily doubles.

good location completely offset by no frills atmosphere. Hard pillows and mattress, unexplained pipe noise in the middle of the night that woke us. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Bathroom door would not close. At least it was close to campus.

I stayed at the ESA in Ann Arbor while shooting a wedding in the area. So I needed a place with some room to spread my gear out and that would be secure. That was fine with this hotel. However, it was the little things that were really missing here. They did not have shampoo, which was annoying. The room was not clean (hairs in bathroom, lint balls in the carpet, etc). The ironing board leg was bent (so it was very low) and the slip cover kept coming off. When I called, they could not help me. The iron kept randomly turning off, so ironing a shirt and pants took about an hour. Also, they charge for w-fi. Yeah, the same stuff you can get for free at McDonald's, Starbucks, SUPER 8, and Motel 6. I will not be staying here again.

They did not have my reservation in their system. Thank God I printed a copy of your confirmation and had with me. Desk lady at ESA spent 20 minutes on the phone with [...]and I was finally allowed to register. I didn't need that after a long hot work day and a 200 mile drive to get there.

Good location. Basic. Clean. Pleasant desk staff.

Good budget hotel.

Spent 4 nights here for a business trip. It is really nice to have the kitchen in the room, as it saves so much money in not having to eat out every night. Just remember to bring your own dish soap, paper towels, and sponge. The staff will not do your dishes, and you must pay $5-$10 for each "room refresh" (replacing towels, making the beds, etc.) I was very disappointed with the wireless internet. They charge you $5 for access for the full length of your stay, which while wi-fi is typically free, I didn't mind paying a few dollars. But as soon as you log in, it hits you up for another $10-$15 for "premium" connection, "or continue on with high-speed light". Yeah, the "high-speed light" was an intermittent near-dial-up-speed connection. It would kick you off every 15 minutes or so. I don't mind paying for good service, but it just felt like nickel and diming. Other than that, it's a pleasant no-frills place to stay. Great location, fairly quiet (at least when I was there). The staff was very courteous at the desk. Also, you get free access to a Bally's fitness center a short drive away. Nice perk.

Nice little kitchenette with full size refrigerator and microwave. Well lit with a few dishes provided as well as a personal size coffee pot. Highway traffic sounds audible, but did not bother us. Courteous staff. Tire shop in nearby mall which proved helpful to us!

Spacious rooms with full kitchen, work table and chairs. Well lighted. Quiet but convenient location.

Nice hotel for the price. Clean room, comfortable bed. Quiet. It had everything I needed for this weekend trip.

I arrived to check in just after dinner on a Friday night. Unfortunately, I needed to use the restroom and hoped I would have a quick check-in process. The area behind the front desk appeared to be empty and an annoying, beeping alarm was going off every few minutes, so I didn't think anyone was there. I started to walk down either hallway in an attempt to find a restroom, but did not locate one. Still no one had appeared at the front desk. I decided to leave and seek out a restroom at the nearby mall. As I was walking towards my car, I looked inside a window and saw the front desk agent sitting at a desk that was not visible from the inside lobby. It made me angry that I had been inside for several minutes at the desk and down both hallways, but she never came to assist me. I went back inside to the front desk and yelled 'Hello' so that she could hear me. Finally I had a room; however, when I got to the room I found that it had never been cleaned after the previous guest. I went back to the front desk where that annoying alarm was still going off and I was assigned another room. The second room had been cleaned and I stayed there for the duration of my visit; however, the bathroom sink would not drain. It wasn't clogged, the stop was simply lock into place and would not let any water pass. I made do using the kitchen sink. Also of note, this hotel only provides soap, toilet paper, and Kleenex. You will need to remember to bring your own shampoo. Finally, on the day I was going to check out, a housekeeper woke me up by trying to enter my room. The most frusting thing about this incident was that she didn't even knock first. She simply inserted her key and attempted to open the door. If I hadn't had double locked it, I'm sure she would have walked right in to find me still in bed. This hotel was at least $20 cheaper than the Holiday Inn Express that is about .25 miles away. Accordingly, there is a substantial quality difference between the two hotels.

The staff were very helpful and gave good advice on local info and details. The rooms were a little small and cramped but they were sufficient for our two day stay. Overall it was a great experience but the room could have been a little bit bigger.

Nothing special. The room was not very clean. Very little guest information available.
